1.39 Confrontation

"No way, you have a phone! I feel like throwing a party right now." Maisie screeches from the other line. I hold up my phone farther away from my ear. "I'm sure you're having the hardest time trying to figure out how to use it, though." she cackles.

"Yep. I've dialed Mom by accident about thrice now. But I'm getting there. It isn't that complicated, as it turns out." I tell her as I make my way to the student council room, where I hoped David would be.

"That's what I keep telling you, but you refused to listen before." Maisie answers. "But enough about the phone. I still can't believe that you have a boyfriend now. I feel like you're my child who's finally growing up."

I roll my eyes, even though she can't see me. Ever since I told her about David and me, it's all she ever talks about.
