1.29 Ruined

"I should have known you were going to tell that prick about me. Is that what you're doing these days, Dina? Spilling our secrets left and right?" Dad hits the glass in front of him as he stares down at me, furious.

The officers around us make a move, but I gesture for them to stand still. "It's okay."

As soon as we arrived at the correctional facility, I asked Arnold if I could see my Dad alone. He agreed on the condition that I bring these officers with me. It was a bad idea. My Dad looks frenzied, his eyes whipping from one officer to another.

But that's the least of my worries right now. "David...he came to see you?" I ask Dad. I knew he was upset and devastated. But I didn't think that David would actually go and confront my Dad.

"Who does he think he is? Asking to see me like we're buddies or something? All because he just wanted to scream at my face about his damn parents." Dad tells me. He spits behind him, much to his correctional officer's annoyance.
