CHAPTER 9: TO STAY HERE WITH YOU FOREVER

I still in fear and lost a little control when I recalled that night Shane tried to open up about my disappearance. That night in the mountain view, we kissed. Mentioning my son and his daughter in our topics.

I wanted to tell him the truth. But in my mind, I was afraid he will get mad at me. I know he will because I ditched my family, my friends, my best friend my school and everything about this town.

I chose my decision wisely at that time. I was young back then. I know it was the right decision I made. My daddy talked to me about what happened at that time. I did not hide anything from him but I left something important details.

No matter what he asked I just kept my mouth shut for that matter. I was not ready yet and I am not ready now, not yet.

My heart beat was suddenly pounding very fast as he was looking at me caressing my face. I can feel my face was burning. I feel my body became something else. Here in the middle of nowhere. We were alone and the night was a little cold.

He never left his eyes on me and I on him. His face slowly leans down closer to my face. I know where it goes. I closed my eyes for what will happen next.

A touched of lips lightly at first and it became deeper. We pulled away panting heavily. I rested in his arm and he brushed my hair with his fingers as we looked up into the sky.

"I wish to stay here with you forever. But I cannot because we need to go home and rest for our work tomorrow." He said suddenly.

"Yeah, me too, we cannot stay here longer for now. But we will be back for sure." I smiled.

"I know and I also wanted to meet your son. Shanice always asking for you, too. I hope we can have time together." He said that caught me off guard about mentioning my son.

"In time, y-you could meet him." I replied. "Come on, we have to go and it's almost twilight."

We left that place and sent me back home. Before I stepped out, he grabbed my neck and kissed me inside the car.

"Good night!" He said smirking at me while my eyes blinking many times from shock. "Are you not going out? Because if not I can do more on kissing."

I quickly slapped his chest. "Ouch," he murmured.

"Yah! It wasn't even strong." I pouted my lips and rolling my eyes on him.

"Just kidding you are cute when you pouting your lips." He even smiled widely.

"Whatever! I will go now and be careful driving home. Good night!" I spoke.

"Good night, love!" He said with endearment and I pouted at him and went up the stairs.

I was happy beyond compare. I was smiling getting on my bed. What a night!

Present time.

That called from him this morning got me absentminded the whole day. I know it was shocking from Shane asking me on a date tonight. I am excited thinking him and me a real date. I was smiling in my desk.

I did not expect that we could be leading into a habit of meeting each other every other night after we tuck in our kids to bed.

It has been a couple of weeks we make it a schedule in our planner's night sneaking out. I did not see anything wrong with it because I still have feelings for him. The more he spends time with me the feelings became more solid.

I asked one of my trusted employee and friend Darla to babysit tonight just in case I may be able to come home late. I already told my son after he came to school and luckily, he was okay with it. He knows I never often going on a date ever since we, I was focus on our new life.

Since this is our first date, I have to look great in his eyes. I opened my closet and see what will I wear for tonight that not a slutty one just presentable.

Black Plain Pointed U Neck Fitted Blouse, Gypsy printed mixed black and white skirt and Ankle Strap Sandal. I want to wear heels but going to mountain view is not the proper footwear to use.

Now, for my face, I put an average make-up not too heavy and spray of Victoria Secret's perfume then I'm done.

My message tone sound from my phone and I picked it up from my bed. I read it he was already downstairs. I replied him and went to my son's room. He was still in his study table doing his assignment.

"Hey, honey, Mommy's going now." I smiled. "Go to bed early, okay?"

"Okay, Mom, have fun with your date. I wish to meet him soon because all of your dates I do not see their faces." He replied. "I will go to bed after this."

"I know son, you will meet him soon promise." I guaranteed. "I love you baby." I kissed his cheek.

"I love you Mom."

I walked out from his room and went in the living room where Darla was busy with her homework.

"Darla, I am going now and call me if there's an emergency, ok?!" I said to remind her.

"Don't worry about it just enjoy your date." She replied with assurance. "You know, he is like a little brother to me. I will take good care of him."

"Ok, thank you and I will go now." Waving her goodbye.

I went outside to meet my date. I took a heavy breath and calm as I see him standing, leaning his car with a bouquet of flowers in his hands. I look at the flowers nicely wrapped in pink. They are beautiful. I feel like I'm teenager again.

'Wow, he is so handsome'

I stood there looking at him in his eyes. I wanted to say it aloud but I was too shy to actually say it to him.
