CHAPTER 3: HOME & BUSINESS

I found a very excellent and perfect location for my business and at the same time our new home. I was having second thought about buying our own house.
While my building is much very convenient and accessible to all. I found the contractor for renovation recommended by Zander's since he has some friends near our town.
Shay knows I want to go back to our home town and start my own business. She even insisted to help me find the best contractor that can finish at the right time.
Six months ago, they started the contractions. The place I got has a two-story building that can be our home too it was spacious I divided into three parts, space in the first floor.
First part of it is convenient store, second door is bakeshop and the other half is coffee shop with second floor on it. It can also access to both side because I told the contractor to make it automatic sliding door between the bakeshop and coffee shop. If they wish to buy to the other side there is no need to go outside and go to the other one.
It is my dream to have this kind of business and now my dream came true. The access to the second floor was separate entrance. I told them to what I want to do with the second floor and they finished as what I imagine to be.
Like I said it is all accessible like hospital, church, schools and offices. It was a little expensive when I bought this building but it was worth it, thou.
Since I opened them one at a time and it gave me positive results. I even hired baker with experience and with the same in my coffee shop and convenient store.
Three months after finished the building we moved out from my parents and lived on the second floor. Our home in the second has three bedrooms, one for master's bedroom, my son's and guestroom. Sometimes, I let my parents stay but mostly just visit us then go back home.
There is a medium size kitchen with dining area in one place and three bathrooms. One for my son's and one for the master's then the other one for common use.
But it was just temporarily because I do not want my son will left behind. I mean, if I buy a house, it would be another location. I do not have much time to spend it with him.
My son loved it because it just a walking distance to our new home especially if he has basketball practices. Yes, he is part of the basketball team for kids and he is really the best I am proud of him.
He is not just a good boy, good in sports not just basketball but some sports that I never knew he was good at it. But he chose to play basketball. He does excellent in his academic too.
I am one proud parent I wish and hope one day I can tell him all. I know he may never ask me again what he wants to know but I can feel him.
I can feel that he is longing for a father and even I was dating I cannot let him see who I dated because I just do not want him to be close with whom I am with.
If I let him introduce to a man that would be his father. However, since I came back, I had no time for dates because I was too busy with my businesses. I rather focus on that maybe soon I am still open with dating someone, hang outs but not for now.
I always stay at the bakeshop because I love the smell of breads. It gives my stress away. It was not easy being a businesswoman with three businesses but what I was blessed for, I have people who works for me are the best.
I have been in the office the whole morning and I am so bored facing papers etcetera...
I walked down to the bakeshop to bake my favorite bread.
I have this own recipe version that I did not include in my bakeshop. I baked it mostly if I want to or for special occasions.
Now, I was stress from paperwork's' and so here I am, finished baking. I placed it in box so that I will share it to my employees.
My office was just next to the bakery, a small portion. It is not big but it can occupy for doing paper works with all the employees I have including payrolls, tax, etcetera…
There are customers buying as I walked out from the kitchen. I saw a little girl sitting at the corner table alone. My stores have all CCTV for the safety of everybody and the stores too.
I walked towards her she is so cute and well behave.
"Hi, little princess, why are you alone? Where are your parents?" I asked as I sit in front of her.
"My daddy is in there." She was pointing to the coffee shop. "Buying drinks for us."
"Okay, so do not go out if it is not your daddy or go with somebody you do not know." I said as I caress her face. Her feature has some similar to someone and I do not know exactly who. I saw her nodded.
"Shout if someone will force you okay." She nodded again. "You like strawberry bread or rather you like strawberry?" I asked.
"Yes, please, my favorite. What is your name?" She asked in a cute voice that I almost love to hear.
"It is my favorite too." I smiled giving her, two pieces strawberry bread. "Just call me Jane. What about you? How will I call you?"
"Shanice," she replied then took a bite. "Delicious but I do not see this bread in there." She pointed in the stall display.
"Oh, because I made it for myself only it is not for sale. Why you really like it?" I asked and she nodded many times with a smile.
"Okay, I will give you every Wednesdays and Fridays the same time you came now. I will bake that day and you just tell that girl over there or anyone who works here and ask for this bread ok. I will put your name on it." I speak.
"Really! Miss Jane." Her eyes widen with excitement.
"Yes, I promise" she made me pinkie swear. It was kind of cute I feel like I was her age. "Okay, little princess I think I have to go back to work and stay here wait for your daddy."
"Thank you, Miss Jane." She stood up and hugged me. She went back to her chair and eats the strawberry bread.
"You are welcome baby."
