CHAPTER 25: EPILOGUE

I never felt so peace in my heart after we came from our best friend's place. Talking to my best friend Shay, my sister in-law to be that weekend. I came back to our town with grateful heart.

I missed my best friend Shay throughout the years we were apart. It was not the same back then. Communications were phone and video calling only which is not enough.

But that day in their place I feel like my life was complete. All the secrecy was gone. Then change with the new beginning about to come into marrying with Shane, her brother.

After six months that year, we decided the date of the church and wedding preparations. It all came into proper places and time.

That day I was walking down the aisle, I saw the man I love waiting for me in the altar. Shan my son became the ring bearer and my daughter Shanice was my flower girl.

Zander, of course Shane's best man and his wife Shay, my Maid of Honor. Our wedding was the most unforgettable for me, for Shane, for us, it binds us to be as ONE.

My parents cried especially my father, he sobbed after I say I do to Shane. I cried too, for happiness I felt on that day. But not just me, Shane too. His tears were slowly shown after the priest pronounced 'You may kiss the bride.'

He was hugging me very tight afraid that I was going to ditch him again. I will not ditch him anymore not now, not ever.

Three years has passed. It was not constantly easy. We never say it would be consistently sweet in our marriage life. There were also sour. But to win it all for being with him was invariably better.

After our wedding, we made our honeymoon babies Shadden Matt & Shanika May. Yes, we have a twins one boy, the eldest and one girl, the youngest.

Both of our children were using the surname Cox. Even our eldest son Shan. We agreed to change it and Shan was so happy about it. He really loves his daddy so much.

He was an amazing husband and father to our kids and really an amazing doctor too. We were all in the lawn for family gathering and baby shower for me too for my fifth child, a son to be exact.

Just one baby in my tummy and got it few days ago, my ultrasound. We want it to know a month before I give birth.

"My dad really loved to hang out in here with his grandchildren making him young." I said, laughing while Shane and I watching him playing with the kids. My mom was busy talking with my mother-in-law.

Since I was the only child, my father gives more love to his grandchildren. My parents usually spend their weekends with us. The pool Shane designed was big. They love it very much. I do not mind, me and my in laws do not mind too.

They love spending with them. That's why I love my family.

"I guess you were right with that, my love, but my dad too, he is not alone." He said rested my head on his shoulder.

Shay and Zander were here too just entering the lawn with their kids who were all grown up too.

"Hey guys, oh my pretty Macy with a big tummy." She smiled; touching my tummy then kissed me cheek to cheek. "Hello, brother." She greeted the same.

Shane stood up carefully so Shay can sit beside me and the boys can have their own time. The kids were already running towards their grandparents joining them play with their other cousins.

"Oh, Aunt Rebecca's here." I told Shay, pointing at the entrance.

"Yeah, we were in their house first before coming here." Shay answered. "Just the two of them."

"Where's Uncle Cain?" I asked.

"There is some important to attend but he will come straight after." She spoke.

"So, what do you think about the name I told you?" I asked.

"You mean, Shawn Matt." I nodded. "Well, it is nice. You really love my brother obviously." She laughed as I rolled my eyes.

"No, I am not." I grinned. "Yes, I do but it is nice to have them all his second name especially boys."

"True, I agree. Besides, they all got my brother Shane feature in fairness." She giggled.

I looked at my husband Shane as he was talking with Zander. I smiled and still could not believe I really marry him.

Life is really a funny thing. Both Shay and I did not expect that our teens' crushes became our now husbands.

I could not imagine my life without him. Or other man to marry. I was already prepared that time to be single mom forever.

Dating and hooking up were just a little spice of my life. But marriage is not my priority. The wheel of fortune came to us. To meet us unexpectedly and became a couple.

Through the years, Shane will always be the One and Only Love's got a hold of my heart.

"Hey, you are spacing out." Shay said.

"In a moment. I was just thinking about me before." I spoke. "The life I had when we were younger and liking your brother. Doing naughty things behind your back." I chuckled.

"Same to me too. I keep recalling the moment I did. And the secrets I kept to you." She giggled. "But it was worth it."

"I agree to that. In the end, they are now sticking with us forever." I nodded.

Looking around, it was nice to see them all and us together in such a special event like this. We may not be seeing together every day. But we make sure that we will gather as family once, twice or thrice a year.

That's what this family all about. LOVE...

Family is important comes first.

Shane came over me and help me get up. We are all walking towards the foods. To celebrate the coming of a new member of the family.

"I love you, my love." Shane whispered into my ear.

"I love you more, love." I whispered back.
