Chapter 4

Time passed so quickly while they were sitting in Vincent's office, while working on the case. they only noticed once lamps were lit up outside. They had no choice but to be done for today. It was getting late plus there wasn't much they could do with all that evidence.

- tomorrow. we're going to continue tomorrow. we'll get the other suspects interrogated and find other witnesses.

Vincent took all the files and put them back in the folder. then put the folder in the drawer as he locked it.

putting on his coat, walking over the window. looking outside. then walking to the door. as he was about to walk out he looked at percy with a blank face.

- what?

Silence.

a frown appeared on Vincent's face.

- where are you staying? here?

- what?

- for fucks sake are you serious? I asked you where are you staying? since you don't live in this town do you have a place to stay.

- Aw look at this. Mr.storm showing pity and care for such a person as me?

- shut the fuck up before I change my mind and leave you outside with homeless people.

- well, no i don't have nowhere to stay here. I came here hoping that my dear friend Vincent Storm would care enough for me to let me stay at his place.

- better shut up before you end up on the streets.

- alright mister. I'm coming.

And they walked out of Vincent's office. they said goodbye to the security and walked out of building. again, they were going to walk to Vincent's house.

- dude, have you ever heard of bus? or any kind of transportation?

- will you ever actually shut your mouth? lazy ass.

- chill out man, I didn't say anything.

Vincent glared at him over his shoulder as he was walking.

20 minutes passed and they were finally there. the House had two floors and it was pretty plain from the outside. it had thousands of gray shades and looked minimalistic, that kind of house Vincent would've lived in.

He got his keys out of his pocket. as soon as he opened the door, there were long and loud meowing sound.

- come on in.

Vincent said as he stepped inside. it was dark there so he turned on the lights and they were finally able to see what was making that noise. a small ball of fur was sitting there, meowing loudly. it was Vincent's cat, brown cat milo.

- oh my god finally a good thing about you! you got a cat! - Percy said as he crouched down to give scratches to the cat.

- milo. her name is milo.

-Aw such a lame name for such a beautiful cat but honestly I didn't expect much from you.

- whatever. - Vincent mumbled.

- leave her alone for now and follow me whole I show you around.

- so kind I can't - percy said. he took his coat off and followed Vincent but he was stopped.

- shoes.

percy took his shoes off too and now was all set to follow him.

Vincent showed him the kitchen first. it was normal kitchen with normal things. nothing special.

next was bathroom which took them long to get around as Percy was speechless by the size of it.

- hey if you like it so much then why won't you sleep there? more space and more peace for me.

next they moved to the second floor. Vincent showed him the workroom, in case Percy needed to work on the case.

and finally Percy's room which he had to stay in for a bit.

- that's it. now you know where everything is. but as a housemate (which is fortunate) you gotta keep some things in mind. do not make too much noise. also don't touch any book downstairs without permission. you can be as friendly as you want with milo. just don't feed her anything other than her treats and her food. that's all. if I remember something, then I'll tel you.

- thanks. I'll keep that in mind. - percy said. he was already comfortable in his room, you could tell.

Vincent shut the door and went to his own room. he changed his clothes. Vincent sat down on his bed and sighed. the night came. another night. at this point, Vincent has already lost his hope that he could do it. that he could sleep without any fear. he took a deep sigh, got up from bed to turn off the lights and then lied down. afraid, he was trying his best to not fall asleep but the tiredness won over him. he was quick to fall asleep as he was already exhausted from today.
