lost and found

Nana lost her cat, Nene. It was her fault for leaving the windows open. As the saying 'curiousity kills the cat', Nene gladly jump off the 2nd floor window and off to her adventure outside.

It isn't long until Nana realize that her fluff ball was nowhere to be seen in the house. She panicked, running up and down the stairs, pacing from left to right and searched every mouse holes. Nothing, no cat.

"I'll help you search for her! " Kana, Nana's sister stop her from losing her mind. They went outside, shouting 'Nene' here and there like maniacs. Soon, the neighborhood kids joined them.

It was a parade of kids shouting 'Nene' in the eyes of adults. Ran, a little girl who love visiting Nene had reported not seeing her around too. And so she joined the parade.

They grouped up to 8 kids searching the whole neighborhood, every corner of dark alleyways too if it means to find Nene.

" Maybe she's in the lost child center. " Aki, the air head kid spoke up as he sigh. He don't have enough stamina to search the whole area after all.

" Are you an idiot? No one would report a cat as a lost child. " Nana fumed in frustration, as the stress starts to get the head of her.

It was getting dark, and the kids soon left to go back home. Nana insisted on searching for Nene, so Kana started asking the people.

The adults either answer by shaking their heads or not answering at all.

They are all dysfunctioned, you see.

After hours of shouting and running, Kana decided to take a seat on a bench. She looked at the flowerbed, and the branches moved.

She watch led too many scary movies, and thoughts start to fill her head. Terrified, she called out for Nana.

Nana went to the neighbours house to ask about Nene and didn't hear Kana's cry. Kana stood up, slowly approaching the flowerbed. With shaking hands, she moved the flowers aside to reveal a black cat staring at her.

A shiny pink collar was attached on the neck, 'mako ' engraved on it. With no thoughts, she reached for the cat and picked it up.

She opened the collar gently and buried it in the dirt.

She went to Nana with a grin, hugging the black cat in joy.

" I found Nene! "

They bought the cat home, and the cat's name is now Nene.
