[7] HIDING IN THE AUCTION PLANET.
"Cardinal, can we leave now?" Kayra blinked her eyes. The sarcastic smile on the mecha's face froze. In the next moment, he became serious. His metallic voice rang out in the cockpit.
{Countdown has started. Master, please prepare yourself mentally!}
"Okie~" Kayra nodded excitedly. Then, protective belts came out from the seat she was in and wrapped around her legs, waist, and wrists. An oxygen helmet came from above and covered her head down to her neck.
Whoosh~
Cardinal shot out through the opening and went straight into the sky. Kayra suddenly saw a burst of white light splash in front of her eyes.
A huge pressure tried to drag her down, and the nutrient solution in her belly went straight to her bladder, causing her to scream in her mind!

After Cardinal went into space and became stabilized, the feeling of wanting to pee vanished from Kayra's body. She sighed in relief as she glanced around.
The girl exclaimed and trembled when she saw a huge star in front of her which closely resembled the sun.
Kayra sighed emotionally as she whispered, "Is it the sun?"

"Thinking about the sun... I miss my home."
Her voice sounded dejected. Cardinal's conscience, which was a little version of the original Cardinal, glanced at Phiphi in Kayra's mind space. Noticing that the little ball didn't have any intention to speak further, he replied.
{Master, it's Delta, the star at the center of the δ-Solar System. How come you... don't know?!}

"Eh? Delta?... Sigh! I nearly forgot…" Kayra shook her head with a wry smile after remembering that she might be in another universe.
She focused on the huge Delta and murmured, "I will just take it as the substitute of my sun… if I knew I would die, I would have cherished the sunshine, moonlight, even the sunburns… sob~"

While she was submerged in her thoughts, other mechas came out from the Doctorio Planet and began to search for the mecha which left without permission.
Not only that, to detect him, they sent out modified spaceships which could identify camouflaged things in outer space.
"We can't stay here for long! At this rate, we will be found out!" Kayra said.
{Master, I am an S tier Supreme rank Mecha. I can destroy them into nothingness… if you command.}
"Cardinal, I don't want to fight, not when I am as clueless as a newborn chick! Go somewhere else! As long as they don't find us!" Staying still would be death. She had no intention to die again or any intention to engage in a war.

Cardinal amped up its speed. He shot through the space, leaving the other tiny mechas (compared to him) and spaceships far behind.
But the people in those mechas and spaceships weren't fools. They felt the space in front of them distorted a bit which was nearly unnoticeable by their scanners.
"Go there!" The captain of the security team of the Doctorio Planet gave the command, and others followed without wasting any time.

After flying for some time, Kayra felt tired. Her eyes began to drop and she nearly went to sleep. The system turned to the mecha's consciousness which was beside it.
[My host has a weak body. Find a temporary place to hide in.]

This time, the mecha replied with vigilance and respect. Even though he had accepted Kayra as his master, deep inside his consciousness, he only regarded the system as his true master, who succeeded in subduing him.
Cardinal flew past many stars and little planets because they were not suitable for hiding. Then, after searching for a while, he locked his eyes on a grey planet.
The moment he saw it, he knew which planet it was and notified the system that it was the best for hiding and avoiding other people.

This was the most dangerous planet in the whole Azure Empire yet the most renowned planet which would hold an auction in every century where all kinds of royals and nobles would come to buy and sell precious and rare metals and other valuable things, including many people of different races.
There was no surveillance around the planet because outside of the planet, 3 layers of the thick mist of very highly lethal and toxic components exist which were capable of melting even the hardest metal in the universe.
But Cardinal was a different matter. He didn't need to go through the main entrance where the components didn't exist. He shot through the clouds and hid in them.
The other mechas and spaceships who were chasing the thief who had stolen their valuable research materials ignored it when they came in front of the Auction planet.
They thought that a mecha couldn't hide in it because it was unsuitable for life to exist except for the artificial mega-city underneath the toxic soil of the planet.
Their notion got stronger when the checkpoint answered that no mechas had come in thirty minutes to join the Auction. Thus, the captain left the checkpoint of the Auction planet and went to search in other places.
"Damn it! Where did the damn thief run off to?! It dared to steal such valuable resources from the basement under our nose! If we can't find the mecha, all of you shall enter the Yin-Yang furnace and become Yang pills!" The captain roared on the joint comlink and nearly burst the eardrums of several soldiers.
