CHAPTER 7
I wasn't one to shy away from a challenge, and I would most definitely never give in to anyone who tried to intimidate me, that was one thing I was sure of, but as I began to notice his eyes turn an aggressive hazel, I couldn't help but think if I had been too forward by slapping him, maybe a warning might have been better, yeah right, full groomed wolf or not, I wasn't going to give in to any intimidation.
I took notice of not only his eyes but his canines that suddenly looked longer than before, the other wolves weren't laughing anymore, their faces stiffened as though they knew what would happen any minute now, I didn't know just how powerful a werewolf could be after the turning, but I knew taking one on couldn't be that interesting.
" That's enough ! " Goku's voice suddenly echoed from behind me as I saw him approach us, loden and Mikayo walking beside him, but that didn't seem to stop Dorn, he kept his stare locked on me.
In no time Goku stepped in front of me, and broke Dorn's stare, now they both locked eyes with each other.
The other wolves moved towards us, they stood by Dorn, and by the time I turned, I saw a few others standing behind Goku as well, no one had to tell me what would come after, these wolves weren't going to opt for a friendly conversation, they were getting ready to fight.
" Give it a rest Dorn, that's enough " Loden said.
" And what if I don't ? " Dorn asked his eyes still fixed on Goku as though they were mortal enemies
" Then do what you want to do " Goku replied.
In that moment, I could've sworn they were more than ready to fight each other, but then another one of Dorn's friends came behind him and whispered something into his ears, something that for some reason made a grin appear on his face.
" The chief's daughter I see, well... isn't that just a pleasure, you look more beautiful than I remember " he said widening his smile even more, I knew what he was trying to do, he was looking for a reaction from Goku, and if he continued this way, he was bound to get one.
Goku glared at him, and I saw his fingers roll into a punch, if I had to let them fight, Goku and the others would probably get hurt, Dorn had more wolves on his side, and if I had learnt anything about combat, it was that in a battle numbers was one thing you needed to win.
" What ? " Dorn asked innocently, and stared at Goku's clenched fist, before looking at him in the eyes, and then shifted his gaze to me, " or don't you think she is beautiful ? " he said, and looked at Goku again.
I could see Goku was about to rush at Dorn, but I held his hand back before he did so, I wasn't going to let Goku get hurt because of me, and definitely not because of this imbecile, Goku turned half way the moment I held his hand, and his fist loosened.
" We'll finish this some other day " Goku said, and walked away from Dorn, taking my hand in his.
When I turned back, Dorn still had that devious smirk on his face, and I knew that this was just the beginning.
