1 "Where am I?"

The day seemed to be an ordinary one- going forward like the cycle of Spring and Autumn goes.

I was at my home, sitting in front of my PC, watching Dramas and stuff as usual...

All was seeming to be normal until-

The Sun started vanishing down, the sky became rather Greenish than becoming red with the dying light of the sunset!

But-

I, being too busy inside my Imaginary Cosmos of C-DRAMAS was ignorant of what is happening outside, and what is wrong with the people around me.

My house has two floors, in which I don't know who proposed, Our kitchen was built on the second floor- resisting my old playful spirit of vanishing the food items from the Fridge.

As time passed a bit, I felt something was wrong with my surroundings- people were yelling unhearable words at each other.

Still, Being one 'Drama Loyalist', I kept my loyalty towards watching the Drama and continued to drink the Coffee sitting right there.

After sometime, as I expected- My mom asked me to come upstairs and see what was happening outside as she used to every day. But, today it was rather a sharper voice piercing through my headphones, than like other days.

I heard her but I just acted that I just didn't hear her because of my headphones. I think I exposed my laziness...

The night fell and to my surprise, another strange thing happened...Clouds gathered without any warning from the weather station and literal darkness fell on the whole visible world

The electricity cut off, along with my crappy Inverter not working, Made the worst being happened.

To my surprise, our phones started turning off, without any reason.It was like something was keeping them from starting on.

I was shocked as well as terrified by the Darkness for the first time after so many years. I got upstairs where my mom was in the kitchen and found she was still working in the dim light of a Candle.

I called my mom!

she didn't answer...

I called her again, now with a louder voice...

.

.

she still didn't respond...

.

.

I thought she was angry at me, due to my ignorance earlier.

So yeah! I called her again!

.

.

But, again no sign of response came back.

Suddenly, A growling sound blasted off my ears! causing me to take my steps back in panic and fear- My eyes trying to locate the source of the sound, just to be restrained by the darkness of the room.

As the growling continued, its echoes started to pierce through my ears! All between this, I heard something of a 'voice' which I can not identify!

My legs trembled so badly that a chill went down to my spine, and in a second I found myself running towards my balcony door. I only felt it later, as I tried to escape from the horrifying darkness which I still believed to be illusions-

As I opened my balcony door and finally managed myself out of the room, I felt the Darkness of the night excruciating ruthlessly, and my eyes- now seemed to have been slowly taken away the sense of light!

I was helpless, I could do nothing as it continued- It managed to send another severe chill running through my spine, and suddenly I felt very light, like been taken away by some force. Soon, I passed out and was not in a state to know what happened!?

I even don't know for how much time I was like that, but as I felt myself again-

I can remember the feeling of the petrifying darkness fading away from my eyes- slowly and slowly! I found myself able to move, and finally, I was able to open my eyes-

'Where I am?'

I was in another place.

I saw the ceiling which normally had an Electric fan on it, disappeared! Out of nowhere, a gorgeously decorated Ceiling was there, which I didn't recognize due to the aftereffects of the horrible experience I had.

At least, I thought 'that' for the moment.

I got up and dragged the blanket with me, still in a state of unconsciousness-

I reached to one of the windows which was close to me, from where a stream of light was pouring into the room.

As I looked out of the windows with my still- un-awoken eyes, I was shocked!

Before me, was the scenery of a clear heavenly lake with pinkish trees all over its edges, mountains blocking the sight of the horizon. The sun emerging with all its might, I felt a deep chill in my spine again, which made me think if I am really seeing this unimaginable scenario before my eyes- just from my windowpane!

For some time, I stood frozen in the same state, captured by the unparalleled scenery made by nature-

The Sun was turning its blades on the horizon, with its might on the Mountains blocking my sight, the heavenly lake cooling down the rage of the Sun's anger, It finally opened my eyes to this splendid dawn, which I can't describe in short if my words.

"Ahm...Ahem! Your Excellency?"

A strange voice rustled from behind me, startling my nerves. And to my surprise, I recognized the words, and realized it was in Chinese!

But how can I know Chinese?

Actually, I wouldn't have known what he was speaking in Chinese- Fortunately, I did learn the language from the Internet earlier. You know why?

DRAMAS!!

It's not a problem to understand Chinese for people like me having a deep interest in C-DRAMAS- Even if I know just enough to-be-said 'illiterate' but still...

How the hell am I hearing Chinese in here ???

I turned back, glaring my eyes to take a 'scan' of my surroundings to find the source of the voice-

My eyes betrayed me as it became unable to believe the scene before my eyes-

The room where I was, was as big as a hall, with a lavish bed laden with rich and silk-like the ancient ones. Besides the big windows where I was standing, a sword was hanging on the wall, having a stench of blood on it.

I freaked out for a while...But, as my attention moved towards the well furnished and decorated furniture like what I had seen in the historical dramas- I fell into dire confusion, even having forgotten about the voice I had heard voice earlier for a while.

As I turned my eyes a bit, I saw a person with black ebonite hair standing beside the door.

He had a certain emotionless face, wearing black and red ancient Chinese warrior clothing, with a golden clasp tucked on his hair.

Yet till now, I was nearly thinking that my brain is still showing me illusions of some Chinese Drama which my subconscious mind had captured very 'seriously'-

But, as I turned to look at him, He bowed down and saluted me. That almost caught me in surprise! Having no chance to think properly, I just copied his response unknowingly- I bowed him in the same manner he did!

A wind of laughter happened to blow on the stranger's face for a second, which he promptly buried inside his serene face. "Your highness! Why are you bowing down? I am just your Butler, you are my lord! don't make fun of me by doing this!"

I was in total shock to his response...I was taken aback!...'HIGHNESS' ???, ME??

THAT'S NONSENSE!!

Trying to keep calm, I hid my thoughts into the situation, trying to start one conversation-

"ni jiao shen me?" (what is your name?)

His eyes moved towards my face, he worriedly exclaimed, "Lord Yun! Don't say that you forgot your own butler Dai fu! we are together since childhood. Are you having problems with your memory?", he added- "Let me call the Royal doctor here."

"what?

...why?

..how?

...who?" with my face embarrassed with my sillyness, i asked, "S-Shen-Dai-Fu? Who am I then?"

"Your excellency Yun!

you are the SECOND PRINCE!

What has happened to you?... When you became so unresisting towards drinking?" Dai Fu replied with such a face that made me fall in deep confusion-

My mind can't process what was happening...It was too much for my brain even to believe, let alone realize the reality!

'Where is my House?'

'Where is my family?'

...and the important thing-

'Where I am?'

-The things which I was thinking to be Illusions, were now seeming to be the reality. For the first time- My heart skipped a beat as I kept thinking about my family and people...whom I can't find herein this new stranger world.

"Yun? What happened to you? You are in Yun mansion...its your mansion...Are you still not sober from yesterday's hangover?..

Here! Drink this sobering soup..."

Daifu handed me a bowl full of soup, which smelled like anything I didn't have ever...Still having a quench of thirst, I accepted to take the soup, blocking my nose out of operation.

As I began to drink that bitter soup, I found a minute to take a good look at my surroundings- which was well surrounded by the archaic Chinese furnishings with the prodigal touch of Song-jin dynastic craftsmanship.

Judging by this, I speculated that I am in Jin Dynasty China. It was the country I had done some research on as a History student-

But, I still can't speculate the year on which I was brutally thrown by destiny-

As my brain had an engagement with Chinese period dramas and historical facts, I tried to look into what situation fate has thrown me here, deciding to act according to the situation.

Trying to unwind down Dai fu's strings of confusion by deviating his thoughts, I asked him keeping a curious look on his face-

"Dai Fu! what is the date today?"

He looked at me with his sharp and questioning eyes, well indicating I have confused him more rather than stabilizing him- "Your Excellency! It's the 3rd day of the Spring, 115th year from the reign of Emperor Taizu... But why did you asked me this?"

I didn't answer him but asked him to leave me alone for the moment willingly as I wanted to give myself a proper space to 'at-least' stabilize my nerves before I can stabilize someone else.

As he moved out with that certain confused face, I again went near the large windows of my room where the sun was purging its shine with redness- calming the archaic room and my body, I started thinking about what Dai fu said.

'115th year from the reign of Emperor Taizu?

...which year it is...?'

A horrifying realization came upon me-

'Hell no! This is 1230 AD, why the hell am I in a place that is gonna be sacked by those Mongols just two years later?'

...I thought I was lucky to be in China!
