Chapter 17: She's the twins mummy

"this way please." The lady says as Diana followed suite and soon they reached the office the lady gave a slight knock on the door and after the boss's approval she walked in with Diana.

"sir, you requested for her." She said and Ethan nodded and dismissed her.

"sit." He commanded as Diana gripped the handle nervously and sat down.

"you're miss Diana Peters right?" He asked.

"yes." She replied calmly.

"I will like to ask you some personal questions if you don't mind". he began as he stood up swiftly from his chair and strolled over to the huge sofa and sat down crossing his legs.

"sure sir, I don't mind." She said.

"are you married?" He began with staring at her with mixed feelings.

"no sir." She replied rather confused why he would ask such a question.

"well then I think that's all for now you may leave." He said as he waved his hand for her to leave.

In the afternoon, a black SUV Jeep parked outside the gates of Golden rose academy. A man dressed in a grey suit and pants suddenly stepped out the jeep as he narrowed his eyes to meet the little girl that was coming towards him.

"uncle Ethan!" Beatrice greeted when she caught sight of her uncle.

"are you here to pick me up?" She asked happily holding on to her backpack.

"yes and we'll go out and have some fun okay." He says as he playfully ruffled her hair.

"really?" She giggled as she hugged Ethan tightly which made Ethan smile.

"okay get in!" Ethan says as the driver opens the door as both of them gets in.

"Beatrice dear!" Ethan called her name softly.

"yes uncle." She responded looking at him.

"Beatrice do you know the lady in this picture?" he asked showing her the picture the spy gave him a few days back.

"yes she's the twins mummy". she replied.

"twins mummy? are they your friends?" He asked.

"yes but why do you ask?" She suddenly questioned staring suspiciously at him.

"it must be one of your tricks right, well your secret is safe with me, pinky swear." She giggled as she finally shifted her gaze back to the window.

"Olivia I'm just so fed up of Fred's behavior. She complained.

"what's the matter between you two again?" Olivia asked without even glancing at her.

"are you even concerned about me." She said as she stood up angrily and tossed the dress that Olivia was holding.
