279: You Okay?

The event had already started. Everyone was in line waiting for their turn. Mr and Mrs Black were still in the car, beside them were Annie and Andrew. The were waiting for the kids to arrive. Meanwhile, Mr Black was on the phone talking to Marcus who was on his third trip of the month. He preferred to be on the trip rather than show his face at an event that requires people to be all dressed up and pose for people on the camera. After the call, Davids and the team said they were almost and they should wait for them a little. 

Outside, the media was getting anxious as they wasted your Davids to grace the stage. This was the day they were going to rain questions on her. They had heard a lot about her and the changes and now that she is reunited with Daniella the media would be on the roof trying to get every single iron sheet out and let Davids be an open book to see what she has. This was not abnormal. 

The car was parked neatly in the parking lot, Clara was excited and she jumped out of the car first. This is the event they had been talking bout with Dee when they were back on the island. Watching the event today while she is in the event, made her jump and bounce. She didn't know how lucky her stars were but she was more excited to be here than anything. Damien followed her as she watched her happy. 

"Are you sure you are not going to kiss everyone here? I bet you will make sure that everyone recognizes you."

Damien held her waist and looked deep into her eyes. Clare nodded as she was being led to where the other family members were standing. Brian walked out of the limo, popping his eyes here and there trying to make sure that his eyes don't meet with anyone's but too bad, his eyes were at someone who was on the red carpet. Not his EX but someone else.  He lifted his brows as the man-made eye contact with him made Brian smile.  

The next person was Davids, she stepped out of the car, and adjusted her suit before getting Daniella out like the queen she is. To her, Daniella is the queen and nothing is going to change that for her.  She would rather have her by her side every day than wake up at nothing. 

"I am nervous, I don't have to reply to anything that I am being asked, right?"

Davids looked at her and smiled. She knew that the questions were going to be too much and they don't even know what to answer. None of them was ready for questions. Even Davids was nervous about the questions. She thought it would be good to ask their parents about them too about confusion.

"Don't answer anything, just smile at them, say, 'no comment and move on. No one is supposed to answer anything and you are not supposed to be asked anything. If they want answers they should schedule an interview with both of you and in those interviews, the questions will be controlled so don't eat anything today because this is not the day when someone is going to ask you what you like and what you don't like."

"Excuse me, am I allowed to accuse my EX of leaving me and being such an ass?"

There goes Brian, the madman of the event. For him, he just wants to accuse his Ex-boyfriend and nothing more. Everyone laughed at him. Mr Black shook shooked and looked at him. 

"What's the need. There is a handsome man over there and he has been staring at you ever since you walked in. Just give it a try everything will be fine. For your Ex, all I can say is 'let him go fuck himself!'"

"Hun, you are encouraging them."

Vicky pushed Mike a little and Mike placed a kiss on her forehead telling her that it was okay to think what she wanted.  No one had seen them arrive. All they saw was a group walking up to the podium. The group attracted too much attention and just like in the movies, they stepped into the podium, stood and were all calm. 

That's when the media that was around realized that it was the family that was much awaited. They couldn't help but click and blind their eyes with flakes every second.

Daniella and Davids were close together and so were Clara and Damien. For Brian, she was being held by Mr Black who was busy joking around with him. They were always close and that didn't change anything.

It's like this event was for them. After all this event was hosted by the Black family to say sorry for the wrongful accusation of Davids Every person was then given a chance to stand on the podium as they smiled. Clara and Damien were all smiles as they stood on the carpet. Dee and Davids were inseparable as they kissed on the red carpet. Brian struck a pose with his long legs showing his thighs. He had worn a suit with mid-thigh exposed. This was his fashion and way of doing things.

The questions were rained on them, and just like they were advised to keep their mouth shut, they did it and none of them was answered.  Though everyone was frustrated they didn't answer the questions they were happy to have the group on the red carpet.

The event was inside the ballroom and everyone was happy and excited. The fashion designers were talking about clothes and Vicky and Brian found their vomming ground where they talked with other designers on the emerging trend of fashion. Mr Balck and Andrew were left looking at other because Annie was also involved in the business of talking with Vicky and Brian. Davids was left to the audience, the business people who wanted to join hands with her in business and also she had Daniella by her side to make sure that she doesn't go anywhere. Damien was busy with Clara talking to the business people under the media company. He got to meet various big media companies who congratulated him on the good work he is doing. Damien always wanted to learn from people and that's what he was doing.  For Davkds, she gave learning a break and let everything be. Right now She just wanted to be happy with Daniella by her side. 

"Hey, I need to visit the washroom, can you give me a second?" 

"Can I maybe come with you? I am bored of this place."

Daniella pushed her aside and pinched her cheeks.

"Will you help me pee?"

"Eeew, just goes, I will be here okay?"

Dee excused herself and Davids allowed her to go. Though she didn't want her to go alone, Daniella assured her that everything was going to be fine and she had nothing to worry about. 

Davids was left talking to various businesses when she saw the man they had struck a deal with. Jake and his wife. Beside him were other people. She excused herself from the audience and went to meet him.

On seeing them, Jake was excited and opened his arms for her to get in. Davids hugged him while Jake made sure that the hug stayed for a long. Next, she shook his wife's hands. She was then introduced to other members of the family and Davids was humbled.

They talked for some time until she was asked about Daniella. She said she is outside but is coming. Davids thought that Daniella has taken a lot of time in the washroom.

In the washroom, Daniella was done and she wanted to rinse her hands in the sink. Someone opened the door and walked in. Daniella was not bothered by it and just went on washing her hands. Lifting her head, a face was behind her, her head bent down. She almost screened but the figure asked her to shut up. 

The person went ahead to remove the hijab that she had and when she was done, Daniella was shocked to see Vin standing there with his sister's smile.  All this time she thought the person was a woman standing behind her. She wanted to talk but no word da would germ on beer mouth. Vin chuckled mad moved forward. 

He started touching Daniella and all she could do was wince and try to push him away. Vin was not moving instead, he was busy moving too close to Dee. He touched Dee on the neck and Dee pushed him away making him stumble but didn't fall. Later he moved forwards trying to place his head on Dee's shoulder but Dee managed to escape him.

"What are you so afraid of, I know you have my babies and they are mine not that fucking bitch, so when the time is ripe, I will come to take you all to paradise, meanwhile, enjoy all you can while under her care. I hope she satisfies you to the fullest."

With that, Vin was time and Dee was left in the sink, afraid, and shaking and she held the sink for support.

            "Babe are you okay?"
