It’s Not Quite Over

Silk scrambled inside of New Hope hospital to find Dr Grey surrounded by soldiers. Except he no longer looked like Dr Grey, he was larger than the room and had black veins running through his body. He looked like Graiv, identical in fact.

Graiv wasn't attacking but was just standing while the soldiers took aim at the former doctor. The hulk of a man seemed to be straining his muscles but nothing was happening, Silk looked around to see the Patchwork man in cold sweat. It seemed that the Patchwork Man was restraining Graiv with some sort of magic.

The Workshop's continuous magical output started to pulsate. He walked over to the sweating Patchwork Man and whispered, "I have a present for you."

A smile reached the Patchwork Man's lips. The pulsating energy stopped and then struck all the soldiers and the Patchwork Man. In an instant all that was struck disappeared. Silk also knew the soldier on the roof and his key would be transported up leaving him, Strocker and the demons.

Feeling his magical circulatory system he could tell it was on its last legs. Silk took a bit of the workshop's magical energy which was so pure anyone could take it in and used it to try and strengthen the magical system but it was only a temporary measure.

Graiv started moving, each step seemed to cause the foundation of the hospital to quake. Silk promptly went on his knees and put his hands on his head. "I surrender," he said.

Graiv looked at him oddly and picked him up in his hands. Graiv's hands were about the size of Silk's whole body so this wasn't hard work for him, Graiv was just that large.

With one jump Graiv jumped through the ready-made hole from his trip down. The energy from the workshop dissipated without a trace.

Graiv threw Silk to the floor, this was a painful collision which Silk reckoned broke some of his bones twice.

Looking up he could see the four original Dukes of the Demonic Empire. Dr Tanner was now more lizard than lady but still held some sort of humanoid outline, she would become the leader of the secret organizations the Demonic Empire would inevitably run.

Graiv was not someone Silk knew about but that was most likely because of Phoenix keeping him at bay on her home world.

Dr Miller was the most recognizable as she was at least still mammal like, however she had rodent features, she was shrewd and would run the tactical decisions on the battlefield. She was known as the maker of thousands of deadly weapons the Demonic Empire would end up making. When Silk went by the name of Filum he had worked under her, brilliant mind and paranoid as all hell.

Dr Stoneheart, the one who would end up running the 'medical' division of the Demonic Empire. The medicine was curing you of not being a demon. The forefront of the Demonic Armies, if you convert the dyeing (and in the later years dead) soldiers of the other side you would be bolster your forces while demoralising the opposing forces.

Lastly was the android. It looked almost human, not quite natural but all the immortal's parts had been integrated into the metallic hull so well that the untrained eyes wouldn't notice that it wasn't human. It looked surprisingly handsome which Silk found annoying as it was obviously modelled after one of his fantasies. He was once part of Silk's mind after all.

Everything was too symmetrical though and the swiftness of its movements were all just slightly off.

The Demonic Emperor to be lifted Silk's chin to look him in the eyes. "Fascinating, you are scared, no doubts about it. Yet I see determination in those eyes." It leaned in to smell deeply. "You even smell completely terrified."

"Where's Strocker?" Silk mumbled his words choking in his throat. Silk was almost neutered from his magic and was facing some of the most powerful beings the universes had seen. He should die here, but there was one problem, the time.

It threw Silk into the ground with enough force for Silk to have to use some of his last magic to cushion the fall to stay alive. "Over there," it pointed to an operating table.

Silk started staggering towards the table. Graiv put a hand to restrain Silk. "Don't Graiv, let him have his last moments. He was me, he deserves that much."

Silk leaned against the table to see Strocker conscious but much of his body was still in tatters as the nurse hadn't managed to completely heal him just some minor first aid.

He took Strocker's hand and whispered into his ear. "I'm honestly sorry to see you in such a state, you had goodness in your heart. I believe Oak had more of an affect on you than you first thought." Silk turned to face the five demons. "I have a story you should heed."

It raised an eyebrow, "should I now." It then sighed, "Okay, dance for me then. Tell me your little story"

Silk nodded and positioned himself in a more comfortable position.
