It laughed, "are you trying to frighten us? Are you trying to say this traveller is you?"

Silk laughed harder, "Not in one million years. This is a bard's tale I heard in a tavern on my travels. I do believe its basis is on my story but I never betrayed my friends."

"You were wasting time then?" The soon to be Emperor asked confused.

"No, story's nearly always have a basis on fact. This universe beyond time is intriguing, I went there once before," Silk said. "I'd have to be literally petrified to go there. I mean literally petrified." He nudged Strocker on the table.

"What are you…" It began. "Get them!" It shouted vehemently.

Silk turned and using the last of his magic turned and taking the sickle ripped a place in space with a slash.

This revealed a place without time and only space. Silk tried to move but couldn't, he didn't know if that was because he had been ripped out of one world and into this universe without time or he was petrified. He hoped it was the petrification because if it wasn't this universe would unravel him. It would unravel his time and his physical being. He didn't have magic to fight it so he had to be petrified and just hope he would live. It wasn't long before his eyesight was gone.

Petrification is a peculiar time magic which looks like it turns someone to stone but it doesn't. Silk could turn someone to stone but that someone would be dead. Petrification is a high class time magic which stops the time of a body utterly ad completely. In turn the user had no control over it, it petrified everything relatively close with the user.

The hole had sucked all seven of the petrified beings into it. Now it was just the waiting game.
