THE PSYCHIATRIST

"Is this the psychiatrist we just met or someone else? She didn't look this lively when she was talking to us."

Alex heard what Lucas said.

He said in reply, "As long as it helps Sakura, I don't see the problem."

"How can you be so dull-headed?" Lucas complained. "Look at her. She is a married woman but she looks like a high school girl. She must be an immortal."

Alex turned to face him. "What do you want me to do?"

"Wouldn't it be great if she were to talk to us like that?" Lucas grinned mischievously.

This only meant he was plotting something bad.

Alex reminded him, "Lucas, she is married. Her husband is sitting downstairs."

"So what?" Lucas shrugged. "Will he murder us if she talks to us with a smile?"

Alex smiled but his eyes didn't.

He suggested, "Why don't you focus on the project you were given and earn us some money? We could really use more cash right now. We have a mouth to feed."

Lucas was confounded. "And how is this my responsibility? You brought her and so you will feed her. It has nothing to do with me."

"Fine, shall I kick her out?"

"Oh, no, no. How can you be so cruel? Sakura-chan is so cute. Won't your heart break if you leave her out in this rotten world alone?"

Lucas looked like he was going to cry from heartbreak.

Alex smirked. "If your heart hurts so much, do something about this project."

"You are so heartless, Alex." Lucas pouted.

"You realize this now? And one more thing. Tell Judith to come here. I have some tasks for her."

"On it."

After Lucas left, Alex stared at Xue Lin and Sakura for another minute before heading downstairs.

Half an hour later, Judith came to Alex's apartment.

Judith Malcolm was Alex's Assistant. She was a twenty-nine year old woman.

Her tanned skin, blue eyes, blond curled hair and hourglass-shaped body made her super attractive in the company.

Not only did she have an eye-catching appearance, but she was also one of the most talented people Alex knew.

She had a photographic memory. She could handle any kind of incident.

She was quick-witted and could handle perverted business partners skillfully without giving away her chastity.

Furthermore, she had yet to make any minor or major mistakes.

In the company, everyone looked at her with respect.

She looked at Alex and said, "Sir Alexander, you have ordered me to come."

"Yes, I did." Alex was sitting on the couch with Ge Chen. He stood up and walked toward her.

"You have to do something," as he put his hand in his pocket and took out a hair.

Then, he instructed, "Give this to your sister and tell her to run the DNA test of the owner of the hair strand. I want every single detail. She has two days."

Judith was surprised to see a hair strand that was pink colored.

"I'll give this to her and tell her to do that," she said.

Alex added, "In any case, tell her that if she can get any information about the owner of the hair by today, I'll take her to her favorite French restaurant which she is dying to go to."

Judith nodded expressionlessly. "I will."

Alex watched her leave the apartment.

After that, he came to the living room and sat on the couch.

"Are you investigating the girl?" Ge Chen asked.

Alex looked at him. He looked at the pair of gray eyes.

His eyes were tranquil.

He didn't seem curious but he didn't look like he was letting Alex off the hook easily.

Not understanding his reason, Alex could only ask him back, "What girl?"

Ge Chen asked, "The girl upstairs. You gave her hair to the lady named Judith, didn't you?"

"Are you curious about her?"

Ge Chen simply replied, "I'm not trying to cross the line but news like a girl found naked in the street makes lots of people curious."

"Did your wife tell you?" Alex asked.

He had to tell Xue Lin about Sakura's situation to help her understand Sakura's situation better.

"My wife knows to keep secrets," Ge Chen calmly stated.

Alex found it hard to believe. "Strange. We have done everything to take down anything that was related to that incident. How did you hear about it in the news?"

"We don't hear about this kind of incident happening frequently. There is nothing wrong with being curious about strange news."

"Is that why you are here?"

"No. I'm here for my wife."

"Your wife acts differently with Sakura. She is bubblier than she was with us."

"She has her ways to deal with her patients. That's why she is the best."

"Does that mean she acts differently with all her patients depending on their situations?"

"Yes, and she knows how to make them feel at home."

Alex noticed that Ge Chen looked serene when he spoke about his wife.

He was expressionless but he felt deeply about Xue Lin.

He asked him, "When you found out about the incident, did you curiously look into it?"

"No. Do you want me to?" Ge Chen calmly looked at him.

Alex replied in the same way he asked, "No."

-------------

Xue Lin came out of Sakura's room when Mateo called everyone for lunch.

She was holding Sakura's hand. She was wearing a sky blue colored dress with white clouds printed on it.

She giggled at Xue who smiled at her and told her, "Hurry up. I'm starving."

Lucas whistled. "Look who it is! Isn't this our Princess Sakura!"

Mateo knitted his eyebrows. He just moved a pot from the stove to the dining table.

He was wearing a pink apron with a yellow chick embroidered on it.

It was absolutely adorable until he opened his mouth.

"Has she bathed?"

Xue Lin gave him a look of helplessness. Her eyes were thinking, 'Is that all you could think about?'

Mateo noticed her stare but didn't feel guilty. He shrugged.

"What? I have Mysophobia if you were wondering."

Xue Lin didn't say anything else. She pulled Sakura downstairs and made her sit next to her.

After that, she rubbed her hands and asked, "So, what's for lunch?"
