Back home!

KIARAFinally I'm going to meet my parents. You have no idea how excited I am to meet them after a year and half. I missed them so much.I'm on my way to the airport, I'm good three hours early."Got everything you need? didn't forget anything important right?" asked riya from the passenger seat. I usually forget some or the other important stuff when I'm excited. "Yeah I have packed everything I need""Did you double check everything?" Still not believing me. " Passport? Phone? Wallet? ""Riya come on, I have taken everything I need and didn't forget anything" I said rolling my eyes. she acts like mother bear sometimes,always worrying."Well at least that's a relief " Said jaz parking the car. " We don't want you experiencing the exam Hall situation over again now, do we? " before she started laughing and riya joined in. IdiotsI glared at both of them from the back seat going red with embarrassment. That was one of the worst moments in life when I had forgotten to take my admission ticket for the exam and didn't even realise that I didn't have one until I entered the examination Hall. The Invigilator would have kicked me out if riya hadn't got there on time with the ticket." Did you guys have to bring that up. Such a mood spoilers you people are! " I grumbled throwing my hands up in the air looking heaven ward before getting out.Jaz helped me get my luggage bag out of the boot ." Ho.. I'm gonna miss you k" Pulling me into a bear hug" I'll miss you too jazzy""Take care and enjoy your vacations" Ri said coming to give me a hug"I will" I said hugging her back.I'm gonna spend two weeks with my parents before I return back to my usual boring lifestyle." You two don't get into any kind of arguments while I'm gone" I ordered looking at both of them sternly."And you have to tell us if you find any prince Charming okay?" Jaz said pointing her index finger at me and wriggling her eye brows. Which received a frown and an eye roll from me.Prince Charming my foot!" That's not gonna happen ""Who knows?" Dad was waiting for me at the airport. The moment I saw him, I literally ran upto him , hugging him tightly."God! I missed you daddy""Missed you too baby girl! " He said patting my head.We talked about my job, college and my friends while dad helped me with my bags and drove me home. Ha! It feels soo good to be finally be back home and since it's early in the morning I'm feeling a bit more energetic enough though I was travelling for last twenty one hours. I know that the jet lag will kick in later but who cares.... I AM BACK HOME! ! For crying out loud."Welcome home honey!" That snapped me out of my thoughts.am I home already??.I got out of the car to looking around. Many things were changed at home since the last time like the house looked newly painted and the garden had a few more extra plants, well that was no surprise mom loved gardening.The moment I started walking towards the entrance Bruno came running towards me barking madly and launching himself over me, which made me lose balance and fall back ward on my butt.ow! Not even giving time for me to react he started licking my face. I started giggling at his way of welcoming me."looks like someone was excited to meet you" dad looking at us with amusement"hey boy! missed me?" I asked stroking his headwoof!Bruno is our five year old Golden retriever. our family dog, aha no! my dog actually. When I left home almost two years ago he looked so down, barking and whining loudly as if begging me not to leave him which practically broke my heart. poor boy, I had no choice but to leave him here even though I missed him terribly.Mom was waiting for us by the door. She was almost in tears when she saw me"Aww.. baby" she kissed my forehead and then hugged me"Mom""look at you" she said pulling away from me . "you have become soo damn thin for my liking" frowning deeply. "That is why I don't like you staying away from us, you don't look after yourself well enough"" Mom, really I'm fine and I don't think I look that malnourished!" I said looking down at myself.dad chuckled behind me holding my bags . "Tara, are you going to stand there all day long or let kiara in?, you can talk and feed her as much as you can, she is not running away anywhere for two weeks "" oh god! I'm sorry sweet heart, come on inside". I smiled at her knowingly." Are you hungry? breakfast is ready." Mom said once I settled down."I'm starving"" why don't you go to your room and freshen up while your mom sets up the breakfast?" dad asked. I nodded and went up to change and freshen, of course with Bruno boy on his heels .By the time we came down, mom and dad were waiting for me at the table. All the three of us ended up having breakfast together with me giving a few bits of my food to Bruno here and there. We chatted around for sometime about this and that but nothing in particular. Later that noon I ended up falling asleep on my mom's lap with her patting my head fondly. It felt soo homely and good.
