6 Chapter six

I wake up in a hospital bed, the lights from outside blind me. I look over and see a note with my name on it. I reach for it and Sara and Kathie hug me tightly. I look at them and smile softly.

"How long was I out?" I ask finally after they let go of me.

"About....about a week" Sara says softly.

"Oh...yikes I bet Steveins worried huh" I sit up slowly.

"Well...he kind of...stop coming..." Kathie says softly I look at her.

"Oh okay? I should send him a text." I grab my phone and Kathie grabs my hand.

"Honey...he left you," Kathie says in her soft voice she only uses this tone when it's something bad.

"He what..." I ask tears filling my eyes I look down and see a tube in my arm I look up at the machine next to me. I pull it out of my arm and get up. Sara and Kathie try to stop me but I walk out. I get to the car and get in. I drive home and go under my bed.

After a while, I hear Kathie and Sara come in. Kathie sits by bed and reaches her hand under. I slowly grab her and rub it with my thumb.

"Come on out little one" Kathie says softly. I crawl out and hug Kathie. I fall asleep in her arms feeling safe and somewhat okay.
