Why are you not feeding her properly?

As we kept driving, we finally came to our destination. While looking at Paula, she smiled and said, "So let's go."

"Ok."

Hearing my words, she kissed me short, and when I smiled, we came out. While looking at her, I smiled, and we walked to the doors. While looking at Paula, she smiled and opened the doors.

Good, that she still has the keys to come in.

When I smiled, we walked slowly in. As I looked at Paula, she smiled. Seeing her look, I could hear her Mom's voice. "Jim, why are you so quiet?"

"It is me."

When Paula said it, I could see her Mom coming out. As she looked at her, she said, "You lose weight. Jack, why are you not feeding her properly?"

"I was out of the country. I came back home yesterday."

"Mommy, this is true. Jack needed to go as a replacement," Paula said. Hearing her words, Paula's Mom nodded and said, "So you kept on ordering food."

"Mostly. You should know that I keep learning how to cook."

Hearing Paula's words, I nodded, and when her Mom nodded, she said, "Let's sit. We need to talk."

"Ok," Paula said, and I followed them. When we came to the table, I could see that almost everything was there. Only food is missing. Probably we will have it here soon.

Thinking about this, I sat on Paula's left, and as she looked at me, I could feel her hand on my leg.

While looking at Paula, she smiled and started talking with her Mom.

While all this kept happening, Paula's dad had come in. Seeing his look at me, I smiled, and he joined the talk.

With time passing, the soup had come.

Seeing it, I smiled, and we started eating it. After ending it, talks come back. Now we moved on. While hearing it, I smiled and kept continuing this.

With time passing, a second dish had come. Seeing meat sauce, and potatoes, I smiled, and while eating, we took a break.

I could see that Paula's parent's full focus is on me.

While this all, was happening, we had done, and Paula finally said, "Might I know why you called us here?"

"As you are engaged," Paula's Mom started saying, but Paula stopped her and said, "Mommy, what is on your mind?"

"Let her end," Paula's Dad said.

"Sorry," Paula said. As I looked at her, she smiled, and I could hear, "As I was saying, we slowly need to think about your wedding. Your godmother will come back soon."

"Aunty will be back. Great."

"She doesn't know about this all," Paula's Mom said.

"Oh," Paula said, and as she smiled, she added, "I hope her visit to Africa was good. Now we know when she will be back."

"In a week."

Hearing Paula's dad's words, he looked at me. Seeing his look, I looked into his eyes.

"So I will need to tell her. I hope she will be ok with all this."

"I think too," Paula's Mom said. When I looked at Paula, she smiled and said, "My godmother is a doctor. She went to Africa for two years. Almost no contact with her, so she will be surprised about all that has happened."

"Oh," I said shortly, and Paula added, "You will need to show the good side of yourself."

"I am always good."

Hearing me, Paula shook her head. Seeing it, I smiled, and I could hear ringing doors.

When Paula looked at the doors, I could hear that they were open.

As I looked at Paula, I could hear, "Oh, where are you?"

"Godmother," Paula said while getting up. As I looked at her smiling, she walked away. Seeing it, Paula's Mom said, "So all will begin."

"Oh," I said, and when I looked into the corridor, I could see Paula, and after her, a woman came. As she looked at me, she said, "Oh, we have an extra person here. Tell me, Paula, how was your life?"

"Godmother please, sit. I will call" Paula started saying, but I could hear "Do not worry. As I came to see you. I want to know what happened. I ate before coming here. Oh, I can see a young man here."

"Hello. I am Jack Smith," I said while getting up. As she looked at me, she nodded, and said, "So, who is?"

"My fiancée."

Hearing Paula's words, she looked at me and said, "What had you said? What is this? Tell me now."

"Aunty. Jack is a good person."

Hearing Paula's words, I nodded and wanted to say something, but Paula's dad said, "Calm down. He is a good person. You don't need to worry about Paula."

"Still. Why had you done this? You should know about Williams. What they will think."

"Oh my family," I said. Hearing my words, she looked at me and said, "So they found you. Good to know. So when you have done this, Paula, I want to know how you met."

"Oh, we were classmates in high school."

"So you used the money," Paula's godmother started saying while sitting, and I said, "From recommendation. Still, I finished first in the entire school."

"Oh well," Paula's godmother said. When I smiled, Paula continued, "Between my second and third years, Jack saved my life."

"Wait what."

"Yes, Aunty. He was in hospital after saving me," Paula said.

"Please don't talk about this. Pain is slowly coming back."

"Sorry," Paula said, and when I nodded, Paula's Mom said, "Jack, you should be checked."

"This is more of a mental problem. I will not think about this," I said. Hearing me, she nodded, and when I smiled, the talk continued. When all was done, Paula's godmother looked at me and said, "Now I know more about you. Will you be able to buy what Paula will want?"

"Probably."

"Don't use Williams' money?" she said.

"Yes," I said, and as she looked at me. I smiled, and I started waiting for what she would say.
