We went overboard

Matthew Cole POV

Looking at Marc, he looked at me.

Probably Jack's harsh but half-truth words show him something. While I kept looking at him, he finally asked, "Martha."

"Mostly."

Hearing me, he nodded, and while seeing her coming in, she looked at us and said, "Just saw someone."

"Oh, who?"

"Some trash. Probably looking for a job here. Let's not think about this," Martha said while hugging me. Sometimes I cannot understand her. Own grandson is calling like that.

Hearing her, Marc asked, "Jack Smith."

"Oh, so you know him. I don't like him."

"I will say this. If you make him suffer after this day, you will be done. I do not want to lose my maths genius, which I have been looking for over eight years. Are we clean Martha? Matthew, to you these words are too." Marc said.

"What?" Martha said while looking at me, and said, "What genius."

"Oh, come on. If you do not know what your grandson achieved. You should feel ashamed," Marc said while taking a piece of paper. Seeing it, I asked, "Why do you have it here?"

"Only based on this could I find him. No name, nothing. Only country and photo," Marc said while passing it to me. Seeing his look, I looked at young Jack. He looks like Josh. I saw him a few times when he was young.

He has Helen's cheek.

Looking at it, Martha said, "Wait."

"Maybe now you can see who was born into your family. I hope Jack's words to Matthew were false," Marc said.

"What did he say?" Martha asked. Hearing her words, I looked at her while shaking my head. She might understand what I mean.

"I hope you understood my warning," Marc said. Hearing his words, Martha nodded and said, "So we will go, you know where."

"Oh, we can. See you there. Time to eat in your wallet. Just don't think I will forget what I said."

"I know. We will wait there for you," Martha said. Hearing her words, Marc nodded, and we came out.

After coming downstairs, she looked at me and said, "How could he?"

"Who."

"Jack. Saying such words to us," she said.

"You know. We went overboard with him. Let's leave him having dinner with his fiancé," I said, looking into her eyes.

When she nodded, we got into the car. I could see that she was planning something. For sure, I will need to pay attention to everything.

Jack POV

After coming to the flat, I checked what we would have for dinner.

Seeing it, I smiled and started heating it. While doing it, I hope Paula will show up soon. While doing it, on a small fire to let it go slower. I keep mixing. Doing it, all I could see was that everything was ready.

As I wanted to go for a phone, someone came inside. When I looked, I could see Paula. Seeing my look, she smiled, and after coming closer, she kissed me.

After doing it, I said, "So we can eat."

"Yes. I Am starving," she said. Hearing her words, I nodded, and while looking into her eyes, I asked, "What do you have in this bag?"

"Oh, clothes here. Yours and mine."

Hearing it, I shook my head. Seeing it, Paula smiled, and as I walked to the kitchen. I put food on plates. When I came out, I could see her sitting with coke ready.

Seeing it, I nodded, and when I put the plates on. I walked for glasses. When I had them, I came back, and while looking at Paula, we started eating.

While doing it, Paula kept talking about what had happened in the mall.

When I had done it, she smiled and said, "So what you were doing?"

"Maths. Too many maths."

"Oh, so stressful," she said. Hearing her, I nodded, and while looking at her, she smiled, and after kissing me, she said, "So we will do."

"Oh, no idea. I just want now to do nothing."

"Oh, so let's watch something," she said. Hearing her words, I nodded, and while looking at Paula, I smiled, and when we came to the couch, I looked at her searching for a movie.

She probably knows what we will be watching. While I kept looking for her, she found it and said, "Emily said that it is a great one. So we will see."

"I hope it will be a good one."

"Me too," Paula said, and she kissed me. When she had done this, I smiled, and we started watching it.

While doing it, time passed. While looking at Paula, she smiled after the movie had ended. Looking at her, she said, "Oh, Jack."

"Yes."

Hearing me, she moved closer, and after kissing me, she said, "So we can have now time for us."

"Oh, something on your mind?" I asked.

"Many things," she started saying, but my phone started ringing. Hearing it, I looked at her.

Seeing my look, Paula smiled. When she kissed me, I took it. Seeing who was calling, I answered and said, "Yes, Mom."

"Jack, where are you?"

"Outside," I said.

"I can see. Come to your place as fast as possible," Mom said. Hearing her words, I said, "ok. I will be there soon."

When I hung out, I looked at Paula. Seeing my look, she said, "So you need to go."

"Yes," I said. Hearing me, Paula nodded, and as she smiled, she said, "So I will go with you."

"Ok," I said. Hearing me, Paula nodded, and when we cleaned everything, we came out. While looking at her, we got into the car and started driving to my place. When we had come there, I looked at Paula, and we came out.

Looking at her, she smiled and said, "So we can go inside."

"Yes," I said, and as she nodded, we walked slowly there. While seeing Mom and Grandma Williams waiting outside, I said, "Hello."

"Finally," Grandma said. I could see that she wanted to say something more, but Paula showed up, and she said, "Hello."

"You were together?" Mom asked.

"Yes," Paula said. Hearing her, Grandma looked at me. Seeing her look, I smiled, and after coming to the doors, I unlocked them and said, "I need to deal with the alarm."

Hearing me, they nodded, and after walking inside, I closed the doors and did this. After doing it, I opened the doors and said, "Please come in. Something to drink."

"Tea," Paula's voice comes.

"One for me too," Mom said. While looking at Grandma, she shook her head. Seeing it, I nodded and walked to make it. Still, I do not know why they are here. So soon, I will find out. Probably if Paula came, all would be worse.

Thinking about this, I started making it all while hearing them start talking.
