Chapter 19 Mr Jason!

Gulping down her nervousness, Jenny dared to call Granny Rebecca. After a few rings, the call was connected and a worried old female voice rang out with bounts of questions. "Baby, are you okay?! Did you get into any trouble, why have you not been answering your phone for days? Do you know how worried we were?! I almost sent a team to come fetch you!! Did you encounter those bugs, did they harm you? Your fine right!!! Speak already will you!!! My old heart can't handle this stress."

"Granny, I'll speak if you let me do that and yes am perfectly fine!" a bright smile filled her eyes and a sad smile tugged her lips.

Hearing her voice, the old lady heaved a sigh, "Then why didn't you pick up the phone when we called. We wanted to warn you that the bugs had managed to locate you."

"My sleepwalking acted up again and I happened to walk out of the house at night ....." she narrated for the worried Granny whatever happened. After hours of speaking, Jenny felt her mouth was dry from all the explanation and interrogations.

If that's the case then I'm worried again, what if it acts up again, I can't imagine what danger you'll encounter....anyways I've already sent Calvin to come to you. Be good and don't give him a hard time, you can't take advantage of his affection for you, got it?!" the old lady's voice became stern and distant.

"Grannnyyyyy....." she whined "Not that mother hen!!" She pouted.

"Don't be whiny with me Jenny, he'll be around you in disguise, he's the best in concealment and will be your eyes, you hear me!"

"Yes granny!!" she half yelled in the phone. He'll regret cing to interfere with her life again. she swore.

"Don't start a fight with him, Jenny. Give him some peace of mind."

"I won't!!" she murmured. 'As if !!' she thought.

"Ok, now that your ok, did you manage to find me a grandson in law yet?!" Another round of a head splitting debate ensued.

"Your going back on your words granny!!" Jenny felt her ears go red at her granny's shamelessness because the first image that filled her mind was Jason!! That guy was an abomination!!! How was he so handsome that he didn't leave her mind???

"Behave yourself and find a man will you?!" Chided the old lady. My lessons to you won't go to waste like that behave like a lady!! Be the powerhouse of your man, you hear me?!

"No, not interested."

Fine, Blury Thomas still has a crush on you. I'll arrange for him to join you."

What?!!! No way not in a million lifetimes, that guy was very huge with muscles everywhere on his body, so scary. Though he is a young man barely twenty two years of age, his physique was way beyond normal, one might think he'll explode anytime soon and he had a crush on her!!! She'd run to the ends of the world if granny permitted him to pursue her!!!' She shivered at the mere thought of it. "I found someone that you might like granny!!!" Though she hated the idea of thinking about Jason, he was her trump card, for now.

"Hey!!!!, are you trying to matchmake your grandmother??" the old lady yelled back, disbelief apparent from n her voice. She was no different from a kid when havin a conversation with this child.

Hearing her granny's whims, she stiffled a giggle, "What no, I'd never do that!! He's too young for you!!" 'How can she give away her Jason?! No way hmph!!! Wait what?? 'her' Jason!!!!' Her brain needs a check up. Not that iceberg.

"So he's yours?!!! Granny asked carefully

"Not yet!" That was spoken out of impulse.

"Is he handsome!!" Granny started to check out on her qualifications list for grandsons in law.

Knowing the route this talk was taking, Jenny decided to disappear from here, "Granny I'm supposed to go to school tomorrow so please hung up already and yes I love you soo much now bye!!" and she spoke so fast that she almost bit her tongue and hung up the call leaving a furious old lady.

"She dared to hung up on me and besides tomorrow is a weekend, that little fool!!" she grumbled.

Soon a middle aged man came and reported to Rebecca. "Madam, the man that saved Miss Jenny is called Jason. He's twenty five years old and a retired soldier. He's friends with James Williams and Liam Brooke, they've known eachother from childhood....." he said as he handed the file to Rebecca who went through it.

"You say, he didn't take her to the hospital but rather treated her from his penthouse? Granny Rebecca had questions about this, 'how can someone find an injured person and not deliver them to the hospital but rather treat them? Something's missing from this report!!' she thought. ' And if he treated her, he must have seen the numerous scars on her body, this isn't good!!'

"Probably Madam Rebecca, according to my inner sources, James Williams went to nursing school and has a master's degree in surgical procedures. The night Miss Jenny was shot, he was reported to have rushed to Jason's penthouse."

"Okay, contact that Oldman, I need more manpower around that girl. This time is crucial, more, she shouldn't get hurt or have anything trigger her. I'll handle this youngman on my own." she mumbled the last part with a frown on her face.

"Sir Goldman is on the line" said the messenger.

"Hello old friend!" an old firm voice boomed throughy the phone speaker. "What do I owe the favour to have you call me so soon?!"

"Jenny was attacked!!" Rebecca's voice was cold and stern.

"Oh!"

"Oh??? I see you've lived long enough that you nolonger give a damn about your life and that of your grandkid, old man!! My granddaughter gets hurt in your territory and all you say is 'oh?!' Now hear me as this is the last time, find ways to protect my granddaughter or you won't like what will come your way!!" and she hung up..

Goldman looked at the black screen and heaved a tired sigh, "this old lady can't probably be on her period!! I age by a decade everytime I speak with her!! Sigh!!!" he grumbled as he made another call. "Keep a watch on Madam Rebecca's girl, if anything happens to her then you'll do me the honour of beheading yourself." his voice was meancing.

"Yes grandpa!!" the voice replied quivering with fear and the call was cut.

Jenny changed into night wear after speaking with her granny for hours and lay in her bed thinking of the man who was messing with her feelings. She really was having a hard time keeping up her act, she didn't know whether to let down her guard or keep it up when ever he was around.

Mr Jason!!!! she murmured softly and drifted off to sleep, preparing for the Rollercoaster ahead.
