Alexander McCarthy opened his eyes and blinked. His head was fussy and light pains from his headache made him want to close his eyes again but he didn't.

Slowly, the world around him began to clear up and images became seeable

The room was white. That's the only color he could see in his line of sight. White walls, a white desk, white wardrobe that looked like it was going to call apart at any second. The floor was also covered in white tiles that almost reflected the equally white ceiling.

Alex groaned and sat up. He rubbed his hand against his hurting head. It felt like a thousand bands decided to hold practice in there.

The shabby white door suddenly flew open and a young boy looking around five or six rushed in. He looked extremely worried and his big blue eyes shone with unshed tears and his fluffy brown hair looked all messed up and out of place

"You're awake" The boy exclaimed and the loud sound of his voice sent another rush of pain through Alex's head.

The boy quickly noticed him flinched and lowered his voice

"Sorry" he said in a much lower voice and walked closer to the bed

Although this boy just causally walked into his room like they were related, the two in fact had no sort of resemblance to each other

Alex had short length sandy-blonde hair that he really didn't care much about and had no idea how it managed to looked so full and lively

His greenish blue eyes were dime but could give one a feeling like they were floating on endless clouds and looking down at an ocean

It could be said that he was quite good looking and if he took out time to actually take care of himself, and eat properly so he doesn't look so malnutritious, he'd be a very handsome young man

"Does your head hurt badly? You fainted outside your room after working" The boy said again "Father, I always say not to work too hard"

Alex looked at him and a smile formed on his lips. This boy, he named him Michelson. He found him three years ago when Michel was just three years old passed out on the ground in the would. That was when he had gone for a morning jog.

The poor boy was probably lost and Alex took him back home. He went back to his jogging tracks everyday in hopes of finding the boy's parents but after a month, he came to accept the bitter truth. Michel was probably abandoned in the woods

Back then, Alex promised to take care of the clumsy weak boy even though he himself was orphaned since the age of  nine and had to fend for himself

Michel took up an habit of calling him 'Father' or 'Dad' and it had stuck ever since.

Naturally, it was not possible for a fourteen years old orphan to birth a six years old child.

"Don't worry, I'm okay, see~" Alex grinned down at the boy and ran a hand through his already messed up hair

The boy however frowned and Alex cursed in his mind. Sometimes, he seems to forget that although this kid was six years old, his mentality wasn't. He worried that he could outgrow his age.

Growing up into a life of hardship, Michel, although young, had gotten used to doing chores and running errands to help his Father. The people in the neighborhood knows him as hardworking and too mature for his age and they always try to give him little money or food but Michel won't accept them unless he did some kind of chores to earn it and he won't eat outside food either until Alex said he could.

This is how mature the boy is.

"Father, you lie. I know you're working extra hard so I can go back to school like the other kids" Michel said

Alex heart sank and ache. True, poor Michel had been kicked out of primary school cause he couldn't pay the fees for the term. Alex himself can't go to school either but he had a friend who he was very close with and that friend came over all the time and taught Alex in exchange for something else

This was, Alex was not stuck as an illiterate. However, he wanted Michel to go to school and be around people his age. That way he'll learn and not grow faster than his age hopefully

"Don't worry, I'll definitely send you back to school by next week" Alex promised even though today was thursday

Michel duged into his pant pocket an pulled out a five hundred yan note.

Alex's eyes almost fell out of it's sockets and he choked on his own saliva

"Michel, where did you get that?!" He asked point at the green monetary note

Five hundred yan was quite a sum of money to the current Alex.

To get Five hundred yan to Alex was like climbing up mountain and back. All his life savings didn't even add up to that

"A strange lady came by and said she is your nephew. She insisted I gave the money to you but left quickly" Michel explained

Alex's eye's moved from the money

"A strange lady? Michelson, what did I say about opening the door to strangers?!" He asked

Michel's eyes Immediately dropped

"I'm sorry, I thought it was one of the neighbors" he apologized

Alex sighed.

"It's fine. At least she didn't give you anything else right?" He asked

Michel shook his head

Alex collected the money

Five hundred yan. This, added with his current saving, was more than enough to last them a whole month or at least three weeks

Michel's school fees was two hundred yan per year and then to restock a month worth food will take another two hundred. The rants was twenty yans a month.

That only left fifty yan.

Alex glanced at Michel and sighed in his heart

'Forget it, he needs new clothes. All he has are old and torn. Adding my twenty yan, I think that's enough to buy a few clothings'

"Don't worry too much. Just go get ready to go back to school by monday" he said and Michel's eyes lit up

Right now, he looked very much like the six years old he is.

"Okay" he said brightly and skipped out of the room

Alex smiled and got up.

There is nothing valuable in his room but the white laptop on the reading desk.

It used to be his friend's but when said friend dad brought him a new one, this one was forcefully given to Alex

Alex sat on the wooden chair and opened the laptop. There is a notification on it

(The new game; World Of Divinity, have finally arrived. The game is scheduled to be released by 10:30am and the first two hundred players to login will be assigned a territory and given the title "Ruler". Every other player will be randomly distributed between the territories. However, only 20,200 people will be able to play the same to make sure to be among these luck people)

Alex scrolled through all the comments the notification had.

Normally, be won't even care about a games but this one was different. First, his friend promised to kill him if he doesn't play and second, money earn in this game can be converted into the money in the real world. This is literally doing nothing but earning cash. Cash that Alex desperately needed

He'll be stupid not to jump at the opportunity

World of Divinity is a new gsme created by a multimillion company. The game have been under development and testing for years before it was finally announced complete

World Of Divinity was developed different from other visual reality games and many people rushed to get theirs on the day of it's release

Unlike other games, this one have the following features

~ 100% realism.

~ All emotions and feelings you have in the game is extremely real so if you get hurt in the game, you actually feel the pain in the real world.

~ There are no NPC's

~ There are no missions

~ There are no skill cool down

~ In game currency can be converted into real life currency

~ Real life currency can't be used in the game

The cheery on top was that only the first 200,200 people to login to the game will have an account and be able to play

In a situation where billions of people are waiting for the game saver to open and in the end only 200,200 people will be able to play?

No one wanted to be left out

10:28am

Alex looked at the time on the laptop

10:29am

He stood up and took out a brown box from beneath the bed. After carefully opening the box, Alex took out a white spectacle case and opened it. Inside was a white spectacle but it was different from the one people use

This one is specifically designed for the game. It's lens were white but not see through and it completely covered the eyes like a swimmers goggle.

Alex looked at the delicate piece of equipment. It looked so ordinary but could take one to a whole new world. He once read that although your consciousness is taken to the gaming world, you're still slightly aware if your environment in the real world so if someone tried to attack your body, you'd know and the game even gives you a warning

It was that cool

Alex looked at the time and it

10:30am

It's time
