Determination

Seeing the red moon proudly hanging high in the sky, I figured that this place was the world of the Lord of Mysteries. Transmigration is a concept that even intellectuals such as myself can hardly understand. Compared to mysticism, I prefer to believe in something factual and objective. Soon, I discarded this thought because such thinking is too naive, considering the Lord of Mysteries world is based on madness and irrationality.

Although bewildered, I quickly composed myself. "Why was I summoned into this world?" I wondered aloud. Unlike Klein, Roselle, and Amanises, I do not have any striking qualities to become 'The Protagonist of the Era' like those three. Or do I?

Arthur sat quietly, watching the flickering flames of the campfire. The night was calm, and the stars twinkled like distant memories in the sky above. He thought of Klein, with his unparalleled intellect and strategic mind. He remembered Roselle, whose charisma and innovative spirit had changed the world. And then there was Amanises, whose courage and determination had inspired countless others.

Arthur sighed, his gaze dropping to the ground. "Unlike Klein, Roselle, and Amanises, I don't have any striking qualities to become 'The Protagonist of the Era' like those three," he muttered to himself. Doubt weighed heavily on his heart, casting shadows over his thoughts.

But then, as the warmth of the fire reached him, Arthur began to think more deeply. Every person has unique qualities and potential that can make them stand out. While Klein, Roselle, and Amanises might have distinct and striking characteristics, his strengths and attributes were just as valuable.

"It's often about recognizing and developing your unique talents and finding ways to leverage them," Arthur thought, a new resolve forming within him. He realized that it wasn't about comparing himself to others, but about understanding and embracing his own strengths.

As the fire crackled and the night deepened, Arthur made a silent promise to himself. He would forge his own path, discover his potential, and maybe, just maybe, become a protagonist in his own right.

In the confusion of transmigration, my eyes could not help but capture a piece of paper in the corner of the bed. The room around me became a disorienting blur of unfamiliar shapes and shadows, remnants of a world I was still struggling to comprehend. Yet, amidst this chaos, that small slip of paper seemed to anchor me, drawing my attention with an almost magnetic pull.

Crouched, I picked up the paper, feeling its coarse texture between my fingers. My breath hitched as I unfolded it, my eyes widening upon seeing the content. The message was simple, yet it carried an air of urgency and mystery that sent a shiver down my spine. Scrawled in hurried handwriting, it read: "Trust no one. The answers you seek are within."

My mind raced, questions tumbling over one another in a frantic dance. Who had left this note? How did they know I would be here? And what answers was I supposed to find within myself? I glanced around the room again, half expecting someone to emerge from the shadows, but there was only silence and the faint rustling of the paper in my trembling hands.

As I pondered the note, memories of my previous life and the transition to this new existence began to surface, fragmentary and elusive. Faces, places, emotions—they flickered through my consciousness like the fleeting images of a dream. The note seemed to suggest that these memories, or perhaps something deeper within me, held the key to navigating this strange new reality.

I took a deep breath, trying to steady my racing heart. The initial shock of transmigration was wearing off, replaced by a burgeoning sense of determination. The words on the paper were a clue, a guidepost in this bewildering journey. I had to trust in my instincts, and my abilities, even as I grappled with the uncertainty of my new circumstances.

Clutching the note, I stood up and surveyed the room once more, this time with a clearer purpose. If the answers I sought were within, then I would need to delve into my own mind and spirit, to uncover the hidden truths and latent strengths that had brought me to this point. It was a daunting prospect, but the flicker of hope ignited by the mysterious message gave me the courage to face it.

As I began to explore the room, my eyes fell upon an old wooden bookshelf nestled in the corner. It seemed out of place, almost anachronistic, in this otherwise nondescript room. The shelves were filled with a motley collection of books, their spines worn and titles faded. A sudden instinct urged me to search there as if the note had somehow guided my gaze.

One book, in particular, stood out. Its cover was a deep, rich blue, adorned with intricate gold lettering that glinted softly in the dim light. I pulled it from the shelf and examined the title: "The King of Nothing." My hands trembled slightly as I opened the book, the scent of aged paper filling the air.

Just like I was being possessed, I flipped through the mysterious book. Page after page passed in a blur, my eyes scanning the words with an urgency I couldn't quite explain. Then, I arrived at a specific page, and as if on cue, the light from the stars outside filtered through the window, illuminating a particular paragraph.

My breath caught as I read the highlighted passage:

"Elder of Ancient One;

Sovereign of Star;

The Lord of Everything;

The King of Nothing."

The words resonated deeply, echoing the message of the note and reinforcing the idea that the answers I sought were indeed within me. It was as if the book itself was alive, guiding me to the knowledge I needed at that precise moment. The star-lit paragraph seemed to glow with a life of its own, offering comfort and clarity amidst the confusion.

The last thing I remember is a wave of dizziness washing over me, my vision blurring as the room began to spin. The book slipped from my hands, and darkness enveloped me as I lost consciousness, the mysterious words echoing in my mind as I passed out.
