The Mysterious Symbol, and Julius' Anticipation

Edessak clasped his hands and began to pray.

Every word that left his mouth cannot be understood. It was a language that they had never heard before.

Kottman, Levi, and Henry slowly assumed a kneeling position.

After a while, Edessak's prayers stopped. He slowly opened his eyes and what reflected within was the same mysterious symbols on both of his hands.

Edessak's expression remained tranquil, a certain demeanor leaking out of his body.

Duke Negan sensed the changes within Edessak, causing him to tremble in fear.

Edessak ignored Duke Negan's fearful face, approaching him with every step.

Edessak stood before Duke Negan and looked at him from above, like a divine being that scorned mortals.

He slowly pushed his palm towards Duke Negan's forehead. And when his palm that has the mysterious symbol, touched the latter, something miraculous occurred.

Time froze, as everything stood still.

The mysterious symbol in Edessak's hands stripped away from his hands, while it glowed in purple hue. The mysterious symbol turned into a ray of light that quickly entered Duke Negan's forehead.

Time slowly reversed and went back to before Duke Negan and his men got ambushed by Levi and his people.

The indifferent glow in Edessak's eyes vanished, as he woke up from his stupor.

He looked at Duke Negan who looked at him, "Are you alright, Prince Edessak?"

Edessak saw that the Official Beyonders that assisted him and Duke Negan, slowly open the secret door that led to Duke Negan's backup mansion.

He took a deep breath, before he smiled, "I felt dizzy, but it's fine now."

Duke Negan took a deep look at Edessak before signaling one of the Official Beyonders to check Edessak's status.

After confirming that nothing was wrong, they used the secret door to enter the living room. The Official Beyonders spread apart as they quickly checked the surroundings.

Edessak followed behind Duke Negan and watched everything with his calm eyes. Deep within those calm eyes were shock and awe.

He could vividly remember the 'ambush' that Levi and Henry did to Duke Negan and his men, but now…

It was as if that scene never took place at all!

Kottman took a moment before he replied, "According to My Lord, you two can just say that the experiment failed because of the Sanguine Ancestor."

Henry was confused, while Levi said in a low voice, "Sir Kottman, are you talking about 'Her'? The God that took care of the Sanguines?"

Kottman nodded and said, "Yes. Your organization did not expect that much from this experiment. It was just to test the waters in the circle of Sanguines."

After a few more questions, Kottman suddenly said, "I'm leaving. She's here."

Kottman took the purple robed members with him, leaving only Henry and Levi who was both standing stiffly.

Both of them slowly turned their heads behind and saw a silver haired woman sitting on the couch.

Levi quickly bowed, "It is an honor, Your Excellency Eleanora."

Henry followed his movements.

Eleanora looked at the two silently before she asked, "What happened? Did the experiment fail?"

Levi glanced at Henry before he explained.

"I see…" Julius leaned back on his chair and whirled his glass.

Kottman prostrated on the ground in reverence. Although the matter tonight was far too anticlimactic because of the strength of their organization, Kottman enjoyed this more.

If their organization is too strong, that only means that they do not have to worry about dangers!

Julius' mouth twitched and ignored his flattering, "One of the demigods under me is currently preparing for her ascension to Sequence 3. I will send you to assist her."

Kottman swore solemnly that he will meet His Lord's expectation at all costs.

Julius said, "But for now, you shall go to Tingen City. Are you familiar with it?"

Julius nodded and asked Kottman to go and do his job.
