22 Planning for the future

(I don't have enough information right now so I'll just focus on what I'm doing right now. Like I'm one ingredient away from becoming an archaeologist.) Stewart thought. (I'll return to Backlund for now and see if I can find a book on plants so I can go look for Creeping vine.) Stewart set the gate to the set point in Backlund and teleported over. Stewart returned to the first floor of his Backlund house and sat down. (Do those birds have a way of tracking me because there is no way that they go to Barron Lamud's territory as soon as I get there.) Stewart thought. (I can't keep dragging my feet on this. I got to introduce myself to Backlund's Beyonder circle. Let me think beyonders I can trust… Chained pathway sequence 6&5 Maric and Sharron, Door and Justiciar pathway sequence 9 or lower Fors and Xio, White Tower sequence 7 Mr. Stanton. I could go find Emlyn White but I don't want to get involved with the Sanguines right now. Now that I think about it I could reveal my identity as a beyonder to Audrey Hall but that would most likely stop her from joining the tarot club.

After straightening out his thoughts Stewart prepared to go to a library that was not too far away from his house. As he walked outside he looked around. (I haven't talked to the neighbors or or even the landlord in a while and they haven't really come to meet me… do I look that unfriendly or did I do something wrong?) Stewart thought as he walked through the mostly empty neighborhood (Well it gets rid of all the annoying greetings and interactions.) Stewart continued thinking random things as he walked toward a library. During the trip he thought. (Now that I think about it I can speed up the process of the story and make the story smoother. Since I have read the book I can tell Klein the truth that I am the type of transmigrator that transmigrated into a piece of fiction I have read in my past life and that would make it easier for me to reveal information to him and let him fake god easier. Also it would be natural since most transmigrators of this type would befriend the main character and it is even more natural because the main character is also a transmigrator. But now if I think about it, that will make a lot more problems like Klein might doubt me if I don't tell him that Old Neil will lose control and if I tell him he will try to stop it which is a whole other can of worms so I shouldn't do that. I'll just help him as a senior transmigrator.)

After this thought finished he found himself in front of his destination, the library. Stewart entered the library and found the book he was looking for Stewart then flipped through the book until he found the book on creeping vine. (The creeping vine is a highly toxic plant that mostly grows in damp and dark places like marshes and swamps.) Stewart summarized as he finished the article. (There are a lot of marshes in the southern continent but not much here in the northern continent. I guess I'll have to buy some from a beyonder gathering because the person trying to kill me is in the southern continent and before I know how much influence and power he has over the people there. I am going to stay away from the southern continent until I at least figure that out.)

(Backlund is also pretty damp and the constant fog caused by pollution blots out the sun most of the time so there might be some creeping vine in the city.) Stewart thought. (I don't think either residents, police or especially the mechanical hivemind would let such a dangerous plant in the nicer parts of Backlund. I'll make a sketch of the plant and ask Xio if she had ever seen these plants in the east borough.) Stewart took out the notepad he always kept with him and made a sketch of the creeping vine as it is shown in the book. (That should be good.) Stewart thought as he compared his sketch to the one in the book. ( I can't find Xio consistently so I'll slip this into the room Xio rented in the east borough.)

Stewart first returned to his house in the cherwood borough and grabbed the set dock worker clothes he had bought specifically to not stand out in the east borough and placed it into the suitcase he bought in barron Lamud's territory. (Going to the east borough is such a hassle I have to prepare clothes just to go deliver a note. Well it's a given as long as I don't have a identity that can scare off most gangs in the east borough even if I'm a beyonder with a golden finger and the gang is pretty small there is still a pretty good chance that my identity as a beyonder will get exposed to the official beyonders.) Stewart thought as he waited for a carriage to take him to the east borough. After Stewart got on a carriage and ordered the coachman to bring him to a street near the east borough. While he was on the carriage he thought. (What job would build up a reputation… A bounty hunter definitely would, and being a bounty hunter would also spread my reputation to other parts of the world as well. Some people with bounties are also beyonders so I can get more characteristics that way. It would also take a while for my identity as a beyonder to be exposed that way and even if it is with the sear amount of sealed artifacts that I'll have at that point official beyonders would most likely think twice since they would think I'm either a sequence 5 or higher or I'm a part of a secret organization.)

Stewart arrived in the east borough and changed into his dock worker's clothes and walked toward the room that Xio rented and slipped the sketch with a note under the door saying. [Could you look out for this plant for me if you find it and help me with a few other things. I'll tell you the secret to increase your sequence quicker… Miss Derecha I know you're seeking the truth and I can help you. I know you'll probably freak out when you first see this but let me clarify I mean no harm. If you have questions come look ask me at 52 will street in the cherwood borough.] Stewart then left and returned to his house and waited for Xio knowing that she would want answers.
