Alexander didn't respond but motioned him to continue.

"My name is Ralph and I'm part of Loen Kingdom's military department."

"I don't know if your father had mentioned, but I had promised him to take care of you.", the blonde man, Ralph quickly hid his sadness and said.

Although Alexander didn't completely trust him, he knew that his father's health had been deteriorating for the past couple of years.

It would make sense for him to instruct some of his friends to take care of him, especially if said friend was an official Beyonder.

While Alexander was thinking, Ralph didn't stop but continued talking.

"Since I have already promised, there are currently two ways I can help you."

"Oh, I forgot to ask, did your father tell you about 'that' side of the world?", Ralph emphasized the word 'that'.

"You mean about the extraordinary? Yes, my father had briefly talked about it."

"He also left me some materials to become a Beyonder."

"I've already become a Sequence 9 'Lawyer'.", Alexander lied through his teeth and put a fake proud expression on his face.

Ralph nodded in appreciation.

"As expected, even after his death he is still concerned about your well being."

"Then, there is no reason for me to go around in circles."

"I should let you know that becoming a Sequence 9 Beyonder is just the beginning."

"With the inheritance that your father left you, you shouldn't lack money for some time."

"But you won't be able to get the materials needed for your promotion without joining an organization."

"I'm going to let you decide on your own.", Ralph said, leaned back on the sofa and gave Alexander some time to think about it.

Judging by the familiarity in his tone, Alexander guessed that Ralph had probably given this speech countless times.

If he wasn't familiar with the extraordinary world, he would think that he was getting invited to join a pyramid scheme.

Alexander pretended to think for some time.

"I want to become part of the official Beyonder team.", he responded with determination on his face.

"Okay, your father would also be happy with your decision.", Ralph happily clapped his hands and said, before taking a parchment out of his pocket and giving it to Alexander.

"This is an contract formed by extraordinary power."

"It has some clauses on it, including not mentioning the extraordinary world to ordinary people, etc."

"You can read it before you sign it."

Alexander received the parchment and quickly skimmed through it.

Although he had some preconceived notions about MI9, Alexander could admit that the terms in the contract were fair for a normal Sequence 9 Beyonder.

In essence, the signee would receive some mandatory tasks, and by completing them, he would get some points in accordance with the task's difficulty.

These points could in turn be traded for extraordinary materials and promotion formulas.

There was also a confidentiality clause, stating that the signee could not give other people information about the tasks and MI9.

If he was still a Lawyer, he might have signed the contract, but he was not.

Since he knew that the Judge was coming, Alexander had already thought of a very simple plan.

Words such "mandatory" were distorted to "optional" and words like "can not inform other people" were distorted to "can inform".

Having effectively changed the majority of the contract, Alexander picked up a pen and signed his name at the bottom and returned the contract to Ralph.

Ralph saw Alexander signing the contract and nodded, before signing his own name too.

Normally, he would have double checked the contract, but Alexander had used his "Bribe-Arrogance" ability not only when he gave him the contract, but also when he was serving the tea.

Blinded by his arrogance, Ralph didn't doubt for a second that a Sequence 9 Lawyer could change a Notary contract in front of his own eyes.

The contract turned into multiple light spots and rushed toward Alexander's body, filling his brain with the contract information.

That was because the clauses of the contract were only effective on him and Ralph was more like a notary.

Even till the end, the Sequence 6 Judge Ralph had not noticed anything unusual about the situation.

Instead, he stood up, took a note of out his pocket and left it on the table.

"This is the address of my team's headquarters."

"Every time there is a task, you will receive a letter."

"After receiving it, you will visit this address and get the information of the given task.", Ralph explained before exiting Alexander's house.

Seeing Ralph leaving, Alexander didn't stop him but rather breathed a sigh of relief.

Through this meeting, he had achieved both of the goals he had set.

It could be said that he had gained the protection of MI9, while also having no extra responsibilities.

For the time being, the tasks he would receive would be meant for Sequence 9 Beyonders, meaning that there should be no danger.

Even if he was given a task he couldn't or didn't want to complete, he could always reject it.

Of course, if he did that, MI9 would notice the contract's loopholes and he would have to flee.

In fact, in the initial plan of Alexander, he would have put a clause forcing Ralph to listen to his orders.

However, on second thought, he felt that a Judge would not fail to notice his malice.

"Either way, with MI9 backing me up and my current combat power, I should be safe for the time being."

According to the simulation, the only other incident during the next 12 hours, would be getting involved fight between Sequence 5 Beyonders, something that he successfully managed to escape every time.

Opening the Fate Simulator, Alexander wasn't in a hurry to simulate.

After he gained the Distortion token, he realized that rather than using the simulation to digest his potion, it would be more useful to get other items.

In fact, just with the token, Alexander could already be considered a semi-Sequence 6 Baron of Corruption.

The only thing that would change with his promotion would be an increase in spirituality, but Alexander had never lacked spirituality so far.

Closing the information window, Alexander decided to get some sleep instead.
