Memories

At the same time, when Alexander woke up again, he found himself in the starry sky.

In front of him stood a huge tree, covered with red roses and weird fluids, while opposite of the tree was a cluster of symbols.

The two beings didn't seem to notice his arrival but continued communicating.

Alexander found that he couldn't understand what the tree was saying, but the strange noises the cluster of symbols made were being automatically translated.

"You should already know that if one of them awakens, you will be their first target", the symbols said.

The tree shook its branches, as if it was responding.

"I know that you can't project your power into the Earth."

"I just want you to not interfere with my plans."

"Whether you want it or not, my plan is bound to succeed."

"It's not of matter of if it does, but of when it does."

"We may not be allies but we don't have a competitive relationship.", the cluster replied.

Suddenly, the scene changed.

This time, Alexander looked around and found himself in a small wooden office, filled with bookcases and the smell of old books in the air.

On the desk, a man was holding a pen in his right hand and writing in a book.

Alexander was shocked to find that it was a book that he had come in contact with, the Origin Diary.

He attempted to look at the man's face, but the familiar cluster of symbols was blocking his vision.

Before he could react, the scene changed once again.

In the entrace of a building, the young man stood with the same pen in his hand.

He didn't seem to care about the people noticing him, as he suddenly flew upwards for about two meters, as his hand reached the same height as the plate.

Purple and silver symbols flickered around him, as he proceeded to write two words.

"Nemesis Order".

Every time the scene changed, Alexander was becoming more and more sure of some of his guesses.

Simultaneously, Alexander seemed to vanish, before appearing somewhere else again.

Opposite to the young man, another man stood.

The man had chestnut hair, blue eyes and two little mustache's.

"When I'm gone I want you to take care of my daughter.", the man said.

The young man seemed to be slightly awkward, but quickly shook his head.

"I won't be able to even if I want to."

"Maybe the next time we meet, I will be the one that needs her help.", the young man responded.

The man opposite didn't seem to take an offense, but instead loudly laughed.

As the laugh echoed through the room, the scene faded away.

A young man was flying in the sea and in front of him, a grey mist was blocking everything.

Alexander was looking at this grey mist and guessed that this should be the Western Continent.

Just as he was wondering what was about to happen, the young man seemed to become determined and stretched his right hand towards the grey mist.

The mist shook, as if it was defending against an invader.

As the young man's right hand stretched, three huge objects appeared to be reacting to his call.

Two of them quickly flew towards him, but the third was unable to break free.

The young man didn't mind, but instead caught those two objects in his hand and put them away.

In that split second however, Alexander was able to see the shape of these objects.

A colorful key and a purple wasteland.

Alexander appeared in another scene once again.

He didn't know why, but the environment gave him a strange sense of familiarity.

The young man stood alone, with stars shining behind him, while in front of him a spirit body was floating.

Alexander was very familiar with this spirit body, as it was his own.

Moreover, Alexander was surprised to find out that his spirit body was particularly strong, at the same level as a Sequence 2.

The young man obviously didn't answer Alexander's doubts and continued with his actions.

He inserted two items in his spirit body, the colorful key and the purple wasteland.

Seemingly satisfied with his actions, the young man nodded his head, before throwing the spirit body out of here, as if he wanted to leave it up to fate.

Just as Alexander expected for the scene to change, the young man turned his head and looked at his direction, before opening his mouth.

"You have always been afraid of the one behind the scenes, the true mastermind."

"Afraid that he will awaken in you, afraid that he will deprive you of your freedom."

"At the same time, you unconsciously hope that the one behind everything is one of the seven gods."

"You don't trust them, but you trust them enough to protect Earth."

"You don't like to be manipulated, but at the same time don't mind being manipulated if it leads to a positive outcome for you."

"Sucks for you.", the young man seemed to be mocking Alexander.

"Me and you have always been alone.", the young man said and the symbols on his face disappeared, revealing his true face to Alexander.

It was his own face!

Countless thoughts passed through Alexander's mind and he found out that everything made sense.

The Nemesis Order, the Origin Diary, every powerful Beyonder killing him, the deal with Reinette and even his own "cheat".

It wasn't that someone else was manipulating his actions, but that he had been manipulating himself.

He didn't transmigrate 18 years ago, but way earlier.
