Black Pepper Immortal
4 stars for the great story. It is a great story or should I say "was a great story". Overall, I really loved almost everything about the story. It's just that the translation quality degraded when it reaches chapter 120 or 130. There are frequent change of names on items, beast, or other characters in the story and this is just one of the errors I found. It feels like reading an MTL or google translated story. Though still a good story but still not great as it was. I just hope author/translator improve the translation and maintain the quality of the story. That's all and wish you a great success in everything.😊
Looks like a decent novel. And has potential to evolve from beast taming/soul pets towards other genres (just like Museum of Deadly Beasts did in middle/last parts). But the problem is that it doesn't do anything original so far (plot armor for that two-faced girl that forces MC to ,,help" is such a cliche). But at least the MC's personality and thought process is fine while side characters are not braindead either, so definitely worth checking out. Who knows, maybe it gets even better later on when it will be more packed with action and some other arcs. Author kind of hints toward travelling between worlds/universes. Shame the chapters are so short
A pretty good story. Despite being in the 'Poke-Master Syndrome' genre that is so common lately it is somewhat original. That being said it definitely is filling out the overused trope checklist. The translation quality is excellent and it is non-Westernized. All that said it is not a story that I feel is worth picking up. I'm just totally bored of the monster taming/training genre. Still one of the more original works in this genre. I give it one Jesus turning 1 fish into 2
Story isn’t bad, but not really good either. More of a meh. Couple things to note before starting. 1) Pay wall starts at chapter 19. Which is too early to know anything about the book. 2) Author has his own terminology for levels, grades, etc and doesn’t even try to explain any of it until at least chapter 100. 3) Around chapter 100 translation becomes spotty. Names get changed randomly, pronouns start switching, and some names just revert to the original language. This happens one sentence to the next. At one point the names changed within three words. (Seriously what translator translated the same word differently in the same sentence?) Over all after a couple hundred chapter I am kinda over the story. It’s been a good time killer while I am sick in bed, but is not something I am excited about.
I like what was happening so far in the story. However the author fails to explain some of the characters most important choices. Like when he got the monkey. Having a great ape is not every man’s dream. That choice is literally following his failed attempt at getting the op plant. Why go for the less rare and simple ape???!?? No Sense???!??! Doesn’t follow his original attempts either. Makes no sense and there are jumps in logic throughout. Otherwise, it’s ok novel for this sites standards
I like pet taming novels so this is probably biased but it is an interesting take on the whole transmigration thing. I mean this the first time the OG body owner was like "NO" and just rejected the transmigrator, killed him and took his cheat. Can't say much about the pet taming aspect, just your generic blood pact with multiple pets, or the world building. which is just a regular fantasy world (angels, vampires, undead, dragons) although confusing in whether it's western or eastern fantasy, however the cheat is interesting, kinda like MPE's cheat but less OP as you need to do some work to get points to redeem loot boxes.
This is a fantasy/sci-fi series where the MC strives to continue surviving by raising powerful pets. He has a mysterious past from his childhood, which will be interesting to see fleshed out. The MC's personality is bland, and no depth has been given to any of the other characters. This is the greatest weakness of the story so far. That said, there are only forty chapters so far with many more to go. The writing still has a lot of opportunity to show off the quality traits of these characters and bring them to life. The world background and setting is intriguing, and I look forward to seeing more questions answered. Although this story comes across as a touch bland, it still has a lot of potential to improve as it goes on. The plot is following a logical pattern, even if important questions haven't been answered yet. It'd be nice to see where the author takes it.
