CHAPTER-22

Munch..munch…

Alex was chugging down the beer while eating the grilled steak that just got delivered to the house. After eating everything, Alex laid on the bed in satisfaction and his eyes were glazed as he remembered the end of Viper and a smile appeared on his face.

An hour ago, when the plane nose-dived, Alex didn't want it to get destroyed as he coveted the plane's technologies. So, he had all the Nanites which had increased to 5 kilos after devouring half the aircraft to the front section of the plane and transformed into screw-shaped with the base being three meters wide covering entire nose of the plane and the length of 3meters with a spindle at the end thinned to 10 cm. The plane fell faster and faster at the end it was falling straight at 90* angle and at the first contact of end of Nanites, they thrust into ice-covered land and spread out from 10 cm to more than 5 meters in a second effectively pushing the snow around and as Nanites are super materials the kinetic force was absorbed by them turning into energy.

The plane stood at 90* angle straight and slowly started falling back on the snow, then nanites started devouring the plane from the nose and killed Viper, who was running away. In 10 minutes, they devoured the entire plane with no traces, dug deep holes into the ice, threw the whole group's bodies into them, closed the pits, and cleaned the whole place to the micro level to not leave any clues a plane ever crashing there.

Alex laid on bed thinking at the power shown by Nanites, that such a small amount of Nanites were able to hold tons of plane without even breaking a sweat. He already knows their structural integrity out of this world, but knowing and seeing them happening is entirely different. With the devouring of the plane, he was able to get many new technologies like TCAS( Traffic collision avoidance system), Turbofan engine, and an exoskeletal armour brought by Viper and many more.

It was the reason why he was happy as he was able to get many new technologies. And it's better as no one from the organization knew what happened to the plane and he gets more tech from them the faster he destroys them. Alex drifted into the land of dreams after getting drunk and slept peacefully, while the Nanites on him transformed into microscopic dust and spread around the entire house to protect him from harm.

Early morning next day, Alex woke up feeling refreshed. He got up from bed, stretched his body, changed into gym clothes, and went for a morning jog.

He first jogged normally, but then decided to test the limits of himself and started increasing his pace, even after slow running he didnt feel any tired and started running faster and faster, and in the end, he reached 24m/sec speed and wasn't feeling any tired as Nanites were constantly providing him with the energy and he could just go on forever if his body didn't break down in the end. After running with the same speed for thirty minutes, he finally stopped as his tighs and calves were swelling with bulging nerves.

After stopping, the euphoria ended and the pain started coming in droves, making him grimace. He then returned to home slowly, while Nanites slowly healed his legs and by the time he returned back home, his legs were healed completely.

"Hmm. With this rate of recovery I am wasting the potential of Nanites on myself and I should do more excersizes and build up muscles and bones." Alex thought to himself and chided himself lightly for wasting such godsend Nanites.

After returning home, he first went straight to bath and cleaned his body cleanly as his legs were covered with grime like stuff, which was the dead cells secreted out from his pores by Nanites. Naturally, such rapid regeneration would have been very harmful to any other human, but after being merged with Nanites Alex's body is slowly changing. That is why he was able to regenerate cells rapidly.

If his body and spinal cord was scanned microscopically, anybody would be shocked to find that among his cells some silver coloured microcells were present which were very slowly spreading towards each other transforming his body slowly from inside.

After cleaning himself cleanly, Alex returned from bath and finished his breakfast, when Animus informed him.

"Anna? Do you mean the flight attendant? Alex asked puzzledly.

Alex saved her because he had a plan in mind, it was an instantaneous plan he thought of during the hijacking incident. When he first saw Anna, he immediately recognized her as the youngest heir of the "Omnia corporation" and daughter of Magna. The Chairman of the Omnia corporation and the biggest shareholder, accounting to 38% of the entire corporation's shares, making him one of the top 10 wealthiest people in the world.

As for why his daughter was working as a flight attendant, Magna once told in an interview that his daughter sometimes randomly just gets out and work in random positions. But, this time sadly, this random hobby of hers ended up quite badly for her even death, if Alex hadn't saved her.

"I have no connections and money to be able to establish any company or influence anything. Unless I wanted to become an overlord and control everyone in fear of Nanites, which is idiotic to do. I would need the help of someone that has money and connections and can be manipulated easily. This lady Anna is a perfect candidate for that role, she can atleast pay her life saving grace in this way." Alex thought to himself as he planned to make good use of Anna.
