Chapter 60:The Bully

The three of them saw the man who was sitting further away from them, despite sitting he seemed to be someone tall, he also had a strong body and they could see that his hair was red, the most curious thing about this man is that he was wearing a very strange black robe.

Audrey just puffed her cheeks at the man's laughter, unable to help feeling offended, but before she could say anything, the man spoke.

"Miss, you wish to become a Beyonder but do not wish to accept the price that comes with it, how do you plan to become one if you are not willing to make the sacrifices it demands?"

"Although of course I understand the fact that you don't want to lose your freedom, I really do but that's the best option, let's say the others are a bit ugly and I don't think someone like you wants to accept them"

The man's voice was rather deep and dripping with provocation and Audrey had to take a deep breath to steady herself.

But what he had told her was true, so softly biting her lower lip, Audrey just asked.

"Sir, I would like to know what those other options are if possible"

The man just let out another laugh as he nodded.

"It will be my honor Miss, apart from the option that the gentleman gave there are 3 others, the first being that you join an evil organization or an evil church and receive the formula to become a beyonder."

"The second being that you become a pirate or join a pirate of high name, of course that would mean that you have to abandon your current life as you know it and live the rest of it with a price on your head and in fear of let other pirates defeat your ship and give you a very bad time" the man said with a dark and amused tone sending a chill down Audrey's spine.

Even Zhou wanted to make himself more comfortable in his seat, but that would damage the image that he created as a powerful and mysterious entity, so he just maintained his position without changing anything.

Audrey processed the information and she like neither of them,joining an evil church? Never, her belief in the Goddess was strong, to become a pirate? She would never abandon her family, she loved them too much to do that.

Trying to think of what to do she realized that the man never said the 3rd option so puffing out her cheeks she spoke hiding her annoyance.

"Sir, then what would be the third option?"

"The third option would be that I or the man in front of you sell you the formula for the potion, what do you think? Which of the three do you prefer?" the man said with a small dark chuckle causing Alger to clench his fists as he shot him a discreet look to this man and one of Audrey's delicate eyebrow tremble with anger.

'This man is a bully!! Aren't you afraid of what I as the master of this place can do to punish you? Are you so brave?' thought Zhou whose corners of his mouth were trembling strongly.

"I choose the third option sir" Audrey replied and her voice was shaking with anger which made the man in the robe let out a louder laugh.

"Great, what do you think, sir? Does it seem like a good business opportunity?" the man spoke to Alger, making the blue-haired man only let out a strong sigh to calm down.

'This guy is driving me crazy,' thought Alger but at the same time he nodded.

"Fine with me sir," he replied looking at the man and then he shifted his gaze to Audrey.

"I have 2 sets of sequence 9 potion formulas," he said grimly and Audrey nodded.

"Which 2 sets?" the girl asked, obviously knowing what it meant unlike Zhou who didn't know what was sequence 9.

Alger only cast a discreet look at the man farthest away and seeing that he was only leaning on the chair, he only spoke without haste.

And just like in the original story Alger told Audrey about how humanity used potions to get powers, then where the names came from and finally he told her that he had Spectator and Sailor and explained the abilities of both.

Audrey listened to all this carefully, the anger from before being replaced by the excitement of becoming a beyonder.

When Alger finished speaking Audrey, he and Zhou turned their gazes towards the man who was leaning on the chair and seeing that he was being watched he just gave an exaggerated sigh while stretching.

This made the trio want to hit the man but he finished stretching and looked at Audrey with a small smile.

"Is it finally my turn? Perfect I'll do this quickly, Miss I have 3 sets of sequence 9 potion formulas being Hunter, Seer and Bard"

"*Hunter, they are master trackers, master of creating traps and excellent hunters. They also have a good physical increase, be it reaction, agility, strength, speed, natural healing speed and resistance.

*Seer, the beyonders of this path do not have any physical increase, but spiritually, they are masters of all kinds of Divination methods, including astrology, cartomancy, spiritual pendulums, spiritual numbers, and scrying. They also possess Spiritual Vision and Danger intuition.

*Bard, they can imbue courage, strength, and agility for themselves and their allies through their singing, a job that brought about devotion and submission."

When he finished saying that, the man had a smile on his face.

"Which one interests you more, miss?"He asked Audrey who was somewhat a little hesitant and Alger observed this with a frown.

All this happened before the eyes of the hidden Zhou who couldn't help but sigh internally.

'He's definitely a bully...'
