319 Chapter 236: Island

Wednesday, August 16, 1349.

The crimson light slowly left the cell and his hand left the redhead's chest.

"Ready Mr. Kenway?" Doctor asked with a sweet smile.

Spitting out a bit of blood that remained in his mouth, Adryan let out a hollow laugh.

"Lead the way oh my damned executioner."

Holding a hand to his mouth and letting out a chuckle worthy of a lady, Doctor faked a blush.

"Oh Mr. Kenway~ Not in front of the children~"

Joseph looked at all this with a flat expression on his bloody face. His long black hair stuck to his face and between his hair were teeth and fingers.

"Oh and you go and take a bath, you stink." Doctor commented offhandedly as he commanded the ivies to come loose from the wall and bind the redhead's arms and legs.

Grabbing an ivy that came close to his hand, Doctor dragged Adryan across the floor as Joseph bowed.

As he was dragged, Adryan's eyes shifted, and memorized any detail he could see.

'These cells could easily fit hundreds of people because of how big they are... But if they kept all those people here, why can't I smell anything?' The redhead thought with a frown as he watched the cages go by.

The only thing he had smelled since he arrived was the dirty, damp air of the cave. There was no trace of sweat, blood, urine, or excrement that he would have expected from the people who had once been here.

Looking at Doctor's back, Adryan asked.

"Now will you tell me some more about this Anniversary?"

"Hehe. Anxious? Don't worry. You'll know everything you want in no time~" The man said amused without turning around.

In response, Adryan clicked his tongue. His attention went back to memorizing the whole tour.

He wanted to ask with barely content desire about his supposed predecessor but now that Flora was awake it was too dangerous. He didn't care much that she would know he wasn't of this world, what he was worried about was the Doctor saying something about the cosmos and causing her to lose control inside him.

It was obvious that the Doctor knew to some extent that he had a way of dealing with corruption but Flora didn't have that so he couldn't risk the Doctor saying something that would end up killing or corrupting his beloved perverted worm.

The more time passed and the more he was dragged along, the more confusion grew in the redhead.

The cave was getting bigger and bigger, and the number of cages he saw was getting smaller and smaller to the point that it had been a long time since the last one he saw.

And thanks to being dragged, he could see how the ground looked as if something extremely hot had passed over it.

'These are clear traces of magma that cooled, so this was once a lava tunnel. This is a volcanic cave!' Adryan thought in amazement looking at the size of the tunnel he was in.

He could barely see the ceiling!

The size of the volcano that made this cave had to be massive!!

'Don't tell me we're on the Southern Continent...' Adryan thought with annoyance as he held back a sigh.

Returning to the Northern Continent was going to be a huge problem...

They kept going deeper and deeper.

'Are we going to the volcano's core? Are they planning to sacrifice me as if I were an ancient tribe? If my body falls into the lava will I even be resurrected? No... Doctor said my body would be given to the bottom bitch so I won't be thrown into lava...' Adryan was alarmed for a second before relaxing and swallowing a sigh of relief.

He didn't feel like testing how much resistance a Pyromaniac had to burning lava thank you very much!

After 2 hours of walking, or rather being dragged like a sack, Doctor finally stopped and turned to look at him with a big smile on his face.

"Finally we have arrived Mr. Kenway!" The smile grew until it became that tetric smile from before, that smile whose corners of his mouth touched each ear.

"Welcome to the last place you will ever see in life! I hope it is to your liking!"

Giving an epic introduction, Doctor took a deep bow, and before Adryan could react. The man waved his arm and he was launched forward.

In mid-air, Adryan's eyes widened in shock as he saw the scene in front of him.

A massive crater was in the middle of the cave!

The tunnel was already massive, if he compared it to the space that was now open in front of him, it would be like comparing a toy tunnel to the field where the World Cup final was played in 2022!

The ceiling was so high that he could not see where it ended!

A huge crater was in the middle of this enormous space and in the middle of the crater, a huge pillar stood erect.

This pillar rose all the way to the top and was lost in the darkness of the ceiling, to his eyes it seemed to have no end.

Adryan could see how the stone pillar looked like it was severely cracked and from these cracks came tongues of flames, flames so hot he could feel them from where he was.

His instinct was ignited but in comparison to the previous times where all he could focus on was negative emotions, the only thing that was in him was an enormous peace. As if this place was the perfect place where he could fall asleep and never wake up and it wouldn't bother him.

But through that calm, he also felt something else. Something darker and more malicious, much more evil than what he felt when he first saw Doctor could not compare. But it was so buried that Adryan couldn't make much sense of it.

"It's beautiful..." Flora murmured in awe and the redhead couldn't help but nod in agreement.

Before he could continue to think about what he was seeing, gravity did its job and pulled him down.

"Shit!"

Pum! Pam! Pow!

With several loud, dry thuds his body bounced and twisted as he fell crawling over the edge of the crater.

"Urgggggg" Adryan grunted as he hit the ground, his body now covered in fresh cuts and bruises from the brutal fall.

'Nothing's broken luckily...' The redhead thought as he tried to get up as best he could with his arms tied behind his back.

The movement of rocks behind him caught his attention and turning around, he watched as Doctor surfed down the rocks.

With an amused smile, Doctor tilted his head and looked at him in amusement.

"What? You didn't like the descent?"

"Fuck you" Adryan growled earning a chuckle from Doctor.

Grabbing the ivies again, the 'man' dragged the redhead back down as he looked at the pillar in front of him with a look full of emotions.

"You have no idea how much it cost us to find it."

Doctor began to explain when suddenly Adryan arched in disgust and began to cough.

Suddenly, a huge, horrible smell of blood and rotting flesh had reached his nose. It was so strong that tears began to fall from his face and if he could he would have vomited but his stomach was almost empty.

His mind became numb and murky.

Cough! Cough! Cough! Cough!

The smell was so horrible that he was about to faint from it alone!

And it was only getting stronger the closer they got to the pillar!

Turning his head slightly, a devilish grin was on Doctor's face whose eyes glistened with blood.

"Oh sorry Mr. Kenway, I forgot to mention the smell. Don't mind it, it's nothing..." Doctor stopped and grabbing the dazed Adryan's head, lifted him high to admire the scenery.

"It's just the rotting corpses of over 200,000 people!"

Tears fell from Adryan's eyes which were wide with horror.

Surrounding the pillar was a small artificial lake. This artificial lake was red and even though it was still a good distance away Adryan could smell the odor of blood and rotting flesh.

In the part closest to the pillar there was 'dirt' forming an island.

This dirt consisted of countless naked human bodies, piled on top of each other like garbage. He could recognize the bodies of boys, girls, men and women, elderly men and women, he could even see the bodies of some babies!

The few faces that were uncovered showed horrified and pained expressions as maggots and flies consumed them little by little.

The artificial lake and the island were the flesh and blood of all the people Blood Moon had kidnapped!

Unable to contain himself any longer, a torrent of vomit came out of Adryan. It had a reddish color as it was the blood he had swallowed during the recent torture.

Letting go of his head and dropping it on his vomit, Doctor stomped on his head, sinking it into the ground.

With a smile that went beyond his ears and eyes glowing crimson, the Doctor spoke in an inhuman voice.

"What's the matter Mr. Kenway?! Don't you like our parting gift?!"

"Cough! Cough!" Adryan could only cough as tears continued to fall from his eyes. But even though he could not speak his scarlet eyes glowed with the purest hatred that threatened to burn everything.

A hatred so great that even the devilish smile on the Doctor's face trembled a little.

But recovering himself, the Doctor grabbed the ivy again and continued on his way to the island of flesh.
