1 The Attack

It was a beautiful day in the imperial academy today, the professors were teaching their students, or were doing their research. The students were studying or having fun with their friends. Of course not every had fun.

In an office, we can see two students talking to a professor.

"I understand that since both of you are rare geniuses, there will be some sort of rivalry between you too, to see who is the better one, but can you please stop fighting every day. I have better things to do than act as a negotiator between the two of you. sigh" Says the professor." So why did you two fight this time?"

"Professor, i have warned Amos to stay away from my girlfriend, but he still continues to flirt with her, so he gives me no choice but to beat him up," Says one of the two students.

"What beat me up, i can defeat ten of you with my little pinky, and secondly so what if she is your girlfriend, the entire acade- wait the entire capital knows that how should i say this, she is a little too friendly with the opposite sex"

"You little sh-"

Just as they were about to fight, a heavy pressure appeared and immediately caused them to stop.

"Enough, both of you are adults, yet you act like teenagers." Said the professor, clearly mad about the situation. " Jason we both know that he is just provoking you, so why are you always falling into the trap." The professor pauses for a moment while looking at Jason and then continues. " And you Amos stop provoking Jason, you are not a child trying to prove to your parents that you are better than the neighbor's kid".

The professor pauses for a moment again and thinks " I hope that you two will stop fighting each other and concentrate on breaking through to the next stage, and now for the best part at least for me, the punishment".

"Jason your punishment is to go to the thorsedia county in the north, there is a report of a stage 3 monster having broken through to the fourth stage, deal with it and come back." The professor pauses for a moment and then continues while looking at the second student.

"As for you, Amos, go to the cryshelia county in the east and execute Count Garmen. It has been discovered that he has been capturing innocent people from his territory and has been selling them, be careful though, he is also in the core formation realm just like you. But you should be able to easily deal with him since he is an idiot".

The professor pauses for a moment and then says.

"Any questions?"

"Yes, professor Warrick, can i ask som-" Said Jason just before being interrupted by the Professor.

" You can do whatever you want, as long as you do your job, now since there aren't any more questions, you may go." Said the Professor, clearly not wanting to continue the conversation.

"We shall take our leave now, Professor" Said one of the two students while leaving.

"Finally those two have left, both of them are so talented to have reached the core formation realm at the age of 24, yet they act like children."

Says Professor Warrick. "Now then let's go back to what i was doing before those two interrupted me." Said professor Warrick as he sat down on a mat that he personally made to help him cultivate.

8 hours later.

BOOM

There was a loud explosion in the middle of the capital.

" Everyone that explosion was in the royal palace, all professors immediately go to the capital and protect the royal family, as for the students go and protect the people staying in the capital." A loud voice was heard in the entire academy, Warrick could recognize it as the voice of the Vice-Headmaster one of the three demigods in the empire, the other two demigods being the current emperor and Great general Hendrix.

Warrick as a Great Saint was able to instantly arrive at the royal palace, or more correctly, what was left from it.

" Do you know who is attacking us?" Asked Warrick, a fellow professor.

" I have no idea, this is the first time i see these outfits," Said the unnamed Professor. While looking at the enemies who were also looking at them with arrogant looks.

" Enough talking, i will go help the emperor, all teachers who have reached the Great Saint realm protect the rest of the imperial family".

Said the Vice-headmaster.

"Yes sir" Everyone answered.

Many fights were happening at the same time. All cultivators at the Saint realm and above went high in the air to fight since each of their attacks can heavily damage the capital and its citizens. While those below the Saint realm fought in the capital.

Warrick as one of the strongest Great saints realm experts fought more than three enemies in the same realm as him, but it couldn't be said the same thing about his allies.

One by one his allies and friends started to fall, the enemy forces had at least two times their number. The situation was bad, now only Warrick along with two others in the Great saint realm remained, along with a few saint realm experts, and the Emperor. The Vice-Headmaster of the academy was killed after all the enemies not only have more saints and Great saint realm experts but also more Demigods.

" Your Majesty, where is Great General Hendrix," Asked a guardian of the royal family. Great General Hendrix is the third Demigod of the empire and he is always close to the capital.

The emperor who had a powerful and majestic aura around answered after a moment of hesitation.

" This isn't the only place that is getting attacked, the entire continent is being invaded, i ordered him to command the armies and slow down the enemy" After that the emperor pauses for a moment while looking around. " We can't win this battle, they are too many of them, everyone take the most important items my family has, along with everyone that has talent".

" What about the rest of the royal family" Asked one of the few remaining professors.

" Didn't you hear me? I said to take only the talented one, that also applies for my family" Said The Emperor with a cold and sad tone.

" Yes, your Majesty," Everyone answered.

" Warrick, Zavier, and Ashlea you three are the last stage 8 experts, help me protect the people that are evacuating," Said the Emperor and left to fight the three demigods from the enemy side.

" I will take care half of their Great Saint realm experts, Zavier and Ashlea cooperate and deal with the other half," Said Warrick, as the strongest among them, he had the right to lead them. Of course, they didn't talk for so long, they used their spiritual sense to talk to each other.

Warrick immediately used his powers to fight against the enemy, but of course, he could only defend, he might be able to fight against 3 Great Saint realm experts, but against 5 of them, he can only defend. The same goes for Zavier and Ashlea, instead of 5 they are fighting 4, but if they cooperate they should be able to barely hold on. Somewhere in the distance, a flag was raised to imply something.

Everything was going well the retreat was almost done, and the enemy forces were having a hard time since all the remaining defenders were the cream of the top until a loud scream was heard.

AAAAAGHH

Zavier was heavily wounded and immediately left the battle to save himself, leaving Ashlea alone to fight against the enemies at the Great Saint realm experts. Ashlea fought as hard as she could, but in the end, she lost and died.

"Dammit," Said Warrick, after Ashlea died, her opponents slit up. Two went to attack Warrick while the other two attack the saint realm experts.

' I can't hold on, i must retreat' Thought Warrick, just as he started to retreat, his instinct screamed like crazy, and he evaded to the side. A demigod who hadn't joined the battle from the enemy's side sneaked to attack him, even though he didn't succeed in killing him, he did cut off Warrick's left hand.

" So you managed to evade my attack, well done, now stay still for a moment so i can cut your head off," Said the Demigod from the enemy side with an arrogant voice.

Even though a Demigod realm expert is one higher realm than a Great Saint, they don't get much stronger than Great Saint realm experts. That is because a Great saint realm expert has reached the peak of the mortal world, the only way to surpass the peak is by creating your own law. This will make you a God realm expert, but as you can imagine, creating your own law is very difficult. That is where the Demigod realm comes in, in this realm, you start the creation of your law, and when you succeed in making it, you become a God realm expert.

'I can't do anything now, 7 Great Saint realm experts behind me and one Demigod realm in front of me, dammit if i was in my peak i might be able to escape.' Thought Warrick.' Since i am going to die, i might as well take as many as i can with me'. Warrick was ready to stop defending and just start attacking, but as always fate had other plans.

BOOOOOOOOM

An aura suddenly appeared, an aura so strong that it caused time itself to slow down. The empire's founder and headmaster of the imperial academy has appeared, the only God realm expert in the entire continent.

" Seems like i was too late," Said an old man while overlooking the capital, or have remained from it. Once a majestic capital that housed over 2 million people now looks like hell, corpses were everywhere and there wasn't even one house intact, the capital of the empire that had a history of thousands of years was now gone.

Just as the old man was about to kill all the enemies, three other auras that were equally or more powerful than the old man appeared.

"So you finally appeared, i thought you were too afraid and wanted to leave" Said one of the two men.

"I thought so too, but it seems like we are lucky" Also said the other man.

" Indeed, i was too late, i should have come sooner and beat your asses." Said the old man.

" Listen here you ancien-" One of the two men was about to curse at the old man but he got interrupted.

"Enough, i don't have time for this" Said the only woman in the group." You old man, if you give us the inheritance you gained in the past, i will spare your descendants and allies"

" How do you know of that" Said the old man with a shocked face' Did some idiot from my family reveal it?'.

"hmmph do you really think an inheritance from a stage 12 being could be hidden from us, now give us the inheritance and i promise you we will cease the attack, and immediately leave this pathetic continent." Said the woman with an arrogant voice.

The old man hesitated, clearly, he didn't want to give the inheritance. ' I might be able to escape if i use that item i got from the inheritance, even though i am not sure about what it does, it should be something good right?. As for my descendants, i can make more of them wherever i want to'.

The old man took out an item from his space ring that looked like a clock and immediately used it, the clock almost instantly become like a small sun. The other three God realm experts understood that the old man was trying to escape, so they immediately attacked, their attacks instantly reached the old man's hand, and cut it. As the clock fell, the female God realm expert used her spiritual sense to take the clock, but one of her allies did the same thing.

By pure luck, the clock got pushed thanks to their spiritual sense and fell right on top of Warrick.

When the clock touched Warrick, he immediately fell like a corpse to the ground and the battlefield become silent. The old man thought to himself,' Thank me i didn't use it, that might have been me. Wait, i should have thrown it at those three, DAMMIT'.

" What was that?" Asked the female God realm expert.

" I don't know it was the only item in the inheritance." Said the old man" I never used it since the senior that created the inheritance stated to only use when you are about to die" While saying that the old man used a piece of cloth to remove the cold sweat in his forehead.'That was really close'

The female God realm expert, clearly the leader of the group then said with a cold voice" Surrender now".

After she said that, she used her power to instantly kill everyone from the empire's side.

"I... surrender," Said the old man with despair in his voice, not that he cared about the death of his family or something like that, he just knows he will never be able to escape now.
