Chapter 35 Waking Up

High in the clouds Iri and her Mecha Soldier gazed down below after the crash. Everyone within a mile must have heard or felt it and from what she had seen, the total area of desert was at least 10 miles.

"Do you see Peter down there?"

Anyway it was in her mind to watch closely as she knew something huge just happened, so Peter might be checking it too.

"Negative!"

Jake was fed up as he was throwing glances at John who was looking ay each guard then where the placed their weapons.

To the west of where they were focusing on, heat signals were picked and it was something that looked to be on the scale of theirs.

No, not just one but two others.

"Should I make complete scans?"

"If it does not alert them, then yes."

The man fell silent and did not speak again.

Jacob's hand was being tugged by Andrew who tried pulling him away.

"Let's go, are you crazy?"

In the background of the night sky, names were being called as line shone unto both Mechanical Soldiers.

"Don't be a wuss, Andrew. Have you considered what we could gain?"

"Hey do not go Tumunomi Escaver on me right now."

"Haha, wahat does that mean." Jacob laughed as he looked back at his friend. "Besides that, what if he was the one who saved us?"

"No, it was not him."

"How do you know that?"

"I do not only know it, but feel it. Thank you very much."

Jacob eyed the boy once more and then pulled his arm free. Next, jumping forwards, he moved towards the silent Mecha Soldiers.

Jacob jumped across the ends of the tentacles and raised some to cross. Even just the tip had his muscles bulging and him stopping to rest for at least 5 minutes. Through the tangles of iron limbs and digits Jacob finally found his way with a grumbling Andrew who had first thought to wait and hide but eventually joined him.

"So, what's the plan?"

"Shhh."

He then darted forwards and walled around the part that looked like an octopus construct. Then, just as he opened the hatch he saw a tube and he looked once at Andrew before jumping inside. The walls were now side up so, he was basically walking on the ceiling.

Bodies lay about as they were all unconscious and Jacob did not leave a single one unharrassed.

CavityBracelets,

ProjectileGuns,

Flashbang Grenades,

Shockwave Bombs,

Restorative Balms.

He even stripped them of armor, continuing that way until he poked his head out of the hatch.

Most of the names had stopped being called and it was back to total darkness.

"Wuss! I need help"

Anrew grumbled as he approached and the process became doubly easier.

They reached a different room like a pyramid but because the entire construct was on its side, things looked awkward. Wire extending in tube like face hung off the walls that had different columns of compartments. In the center was a chair that had a pipe hanging over it and further up was a workstation with several chairs.

Jacob took it all in as he realised that among he many bodies robbed in this room, he saw Jin's.

Jin was another person who had made a good work of the Phase 1 trial. Jacob bound this one up so many times he looked like a mummy in a bdsm prank covered with a coffin and then dropped to the bottom o the ocean.

Only his lips had space, so his unconscious body forcefully began breathing through his lips.

Jacob tidied up until up everyone was either half naked or tied up. By the time Andrew stepped into the room, he saw that Jacob was sitting on the chair with his eyes fluttering as though he were being possessed.

Jacob!

Jacob!

Ja-

Tumunomi Escaver woke up with a ringing pain and he quickly reached for his RestorationBalm. Wasting it all over his body, he had a good feeling that he won't be evicted not only because nothing was sticking in him but also because everything was quiet.

But that was if he was not already evicted.

So, he felt around his body and felt metal hard floors then slowly rose up.

In the darkness of the unawakened machine, he tried to get a clear look, so he extended his arms out warily and walked about cautiously.

When he felt the circular wall, he used it to trail his path until he felt he was walking towards the ha-

He almost tripped as he had encountered a body. Viciously looting it, he collected a ProjectileGun and waited until it began to move. Then lulling the trigger, he began to move again. 10 times he almost fell. And he continued to feel aling the wall, wondering why he had not yet reached a hatch yet.

POW!

He saw stars as he fell down.

"I waited a long while."

Jason's voice!

Tumunomi Escaver rolled in pain and wondered if he should let the bullets bounce around but that could send him away too. So, he stopped rolling at some point and got on his feet to complete silence.

POW!

Again on the cheek!

He did not appreciate this feeling and began to frown hard. Then, picking up his shoe, he threw it in a random direction. Then he heard a breath catch and then resume its silence.

BOM!

A fist had struck metal in the direction that he had thrown the shoe.

He jumped there and planted both fists against the metal but he met no body there.

CRACK!

POW!

BAM!

Tumunomi Escaver fell on his back.

"It's sad that we never got a proper fight, although that would be quite stupid of me."

The Chip in his opponent's head had made him watch too many clips. This speech was not normal coming from his age peer.

WHAM!

POM!

Tumunomi Escaver caught the double punch nd headbutted the boy, not letting go to headbutt him again. Finishing with an elbow, he quickly followed him to the ground

"Speak!"

"'ou shush have 'o shte' I' the control 'ome 'ad presh a resh bu''on."

"That's it?"

"Then you will be scanned and your Chip will synchronise with it."

His speech was better now so many he was healed again. So, Tumunomi Escaver continued.

Jason had stopped talking and had actually was not moving.

Derek had taught him that if you wanted a point driven hom it had to be repeated until it was painfully clear.

So, after healing the silent, crying boy again he did one more round and left him there to heal with very little RestorativeBalm. The remaining Balm he rubbed over his own fists

Tumunomi Escaver then rummaged the floor looking for Weapons when light began seeping through the cracks and holes made from impact. So, he quickly picked up whatever weapons were left and fiddled around till he found the hatch.

Darkness

Then,

Light,

Then,

Sound.

Then,

"All alone, here I am, first it was ivan then john and peter."

"Andrew, Andrew, ANDREW!"

"WAAAAAHHHHHH!!!"

The boy had been crying so loud that Jacob could not get through to him. On the chair, he had actually lost consciousness and slumped his head, so it was easy to think he was dead, save his fluttering eyes. Thus, seeing as the eviction light had not picked up Jacob's body, Andrew had assumed it might have been real death.

"ANDREW!!!"

The shout came from not only Jacob's voice but the walls and the floor, so Andrew jumped to his feet as he watched Jacob.

"Good, now I have your attention."

"Hey! Hey! You are alive!"

Lights began revving back to life as mechanisms grew their volumes while they returned to activation.

"Hahaha!, I am so happy you would not believe it!"

PREPARING BOOT SEQUENCE

Around the walls, light poured through as though it was filtered by pure sea water. In fact, animals swam through the seawater that had light passing through it behind the wall.

The ground gave off a glow like a seabed and aquatic creatures swam about there too.

"So, what are going to do now? You just let me know."

Jacob pointed to the workstation as a voice was playing in its head the sam time it was being produced from the walls and ground.

BOOT SEQUENCE BEGUN.

BOOT SEQUENCE LOADING.

The floors and the workstation was illuminated with a soft blue glow following swirly patterns, its body itself was transparent, showing clams and pearls and silt and on its surface were a multitude of buttons.

When Andrew stood in front of the work station, a stool that had a back reaching the half of his and body so soft he could sleep standing on it with no qualms, fell into silence as information entered his brain through the chip.

Andrew let the information stay a while, but stepped away from the Workstation.

"We did not check the other one."

Alarm siked through Jacob and he pointed to the door.

"Check it!"

Andrew sprinted out, carefully approaching he upturned Mechas Soldier and when he turned he vault hatch door to step inside, the nuzzle of a gun was what greeted him.
