1 01 Game Preliminary

Alpha Centuri Biosphere

Looking across my domain for the last time noting the time/date. Tuesday, January 1, 2143 I turn to the others "Don't try to stop me I'm leaving now". The responses of "Have a good trip Phati!" "See ya at homecoming!" "Good trip!" from friendly gods and buddies. Going to the teleport gate for the last time after fun for eight centuries of VR gaming. Punching in my destiny and code the portal shimmers. I take a deep breath and pass through.

The pains are excruciating as usual and I black out.

I wake at a odd angle hanging nearly upside down. Someone is shaking me. "Hurry, try the Heimlich again!!" Ptwoo. Something comes flying out of my mouth to skitter across the floor. "Agh, it was a penny this time a marble last time. Stop putting things in your mouth G!" says the giant. I try to respond but just end up crying. I'm unable to speak choked with emotions. I hurriedly open my control panel to check my location and status.

What's this? I'm not a god anymore but a human? On the planet of Pennsylvania in the Sol system? That was on the other side of the universe and clearly in the wrong direction. What's with this time/date?

I clearly remember entering the correct codes. I should have arrived at my destination only one light day away. It was almost a habit by now. My fingers could tap out the code blindfolded.

Which by the way I occasionally practiced blindfolded. The level games I played against other gods would sometimes be played in absolute darkness. It added a different dimension when playing some games.

World building in absolute darkness led to some unique shapes. I am especially fond of tube shaped planets with the sun inside peeking out. Civilizations develop wholly different with or without constant sunlight.

The giant returned, picked me up and cradled in his arms before leaving this area.

Wait.

It can't be that I was somehow entered into a reincarnation game was I? I hate those types of role playing games the most. It is very disconcerting to invent a new personality for each character I play.

Looking again at my control panel it looks so spartan. Where was my physical power attribute or my life points? Nothing listed. Class nada. Level ditto. Race human? What was a human again? Some type of bipedal, right, just two legs. How inconvenient.

The giant passed me to another of its kind just lumpier. My orafice was pried open and one of the lumps inserted in. Something warm and sweet, a colloidal liquid, gushes in. It is somehow comforting. My eyes close to absolute darkness.

I awoke early for my first day of school. The human offspring were waiting for at the traffic light discussing steeler nation. As always I was astonished by how little these primitive creatures knew. Their entire realm of knowledge were deciding arbitrary stats of players of the steeler nation. What was worse than tossing a inflatable sewn epidermis. I'd rather pilot a exosuit through singular anomalies blindfolded than even touch that smelly bipyramidal object.

I looked for our group leader an older adolescent female. As usual she was holding the hand of that simpleton. M something was it's designation. I could only feel pity for the M creature as I could see it was a poor genetic mixture.

"Isa, Uno, Ichi, one" our group leader repeated. She does this throughout our daily walks back and forth to school trying to teach us multiple languages at once.

I had to find some way to get away from this planet and my best bet was to attend their educational facility. The previous lumpy giant turned out to be my female parent with the hairy giant was my male parent. With humans it seemed two was their lucky number with two eyes, two legs, two parents. What I wouldn't give to have my original perfect form again. Well definitely not godhood but human childhood.

What a disappointing experience. I had excused myself at lunch to check their library for the necessities. However, there were no star charts nor even a primitive AI. Just simple paper books. What a catastrophe.

I returned to my domicile in the afternoon completely dejected. Upon entering my male parent tried to engage me in his simplistic tactics game. He had drawn on small one inch squares of cardboard. Shaped like a rectangle with a cross mark bisecting the corners. Single integers representing movement and attack power were written under each symbols. Male parent stated it was a infantry unit. Move 1, Attack 1. We were each given twenty units of infantry and a eight by eight grid with one inch squares.

No challenge at all. I defeated him in ten minutes annihilating his army. We played again and again each time shortening the time I needed to win.

Alpha Centuri Biosphere

I awoke on Thursday, January 3, 2143 and told there had been an accident during the initiation phase of the translight portal. My conscience had drifted at that time seeming to travel through time and space.

I had been so frustrated in that other place only having four limbs. My body flowed along the corridor randomly forming thousands of tiny limbs along my dorsal surface before being absorbed back into my main body.

Some of the other gods take on a variety of forms as suits their needs before, during and after the games. They think they're being smug calling me a slime or blob but I prefer the title Lord Fatty.

The next game was about to start on a world known to be inhabited by demons lurking in dungeons. It is limited to humanoid shaped players only. Interested gods need to limit themselves to four meters but will gain bonus points by choosing smaller characters. Each meter below the limit will garner an additional 50% bonus points.

In these types of subjugation games going too small to garner bonuses can lead to a character with few hit points. Going as a full four meter character will have greater strength and destructive power as well as greater hit points but no bonuses.

I want to use my normal twelve limbed two meter exosuit but the conditions include it being a humanoid. Meaning a maximum of only six limbs.

A double tripod of three arms with three legs sounds balanced. I recalled another player boasting about his third leg when he clearly only had two. That seemed to increase audience viewers for a while.

I need to think symmetry maybe two arms with four legs like a Centauri since it would increase running speed. On second thought maybe four arms with two legs could increase melee power. However, in the end I considered having more than just a single ground speed. I chose two arms, two legs and two beetle like wings thereby gaining an air and/or swim speed along with a ground speed. I liked beetle wings as they could fold in and be inconspicuous as needed.

I felt incomplete without twelve limbs so I added six internal arm on the large interior cavity of the exosuit. That made it possible to add a capture feature to the exosuit increasing the girth considerably.

Having configured my exosuit to match I began looking at power cores to assist moving all those limbs. The exosuit was really just a shell but protect my real body. I looked at different cores before settling on a trinary dodecahedron my old standby. It had the power of three suns in continuous triple fission-fusion reactions. Providing enough power to operate in combat mode for several million years. After making final cosmetic adjustments I reviewed the exosuit. One head superior attached to a torso with two arms and two legs. Each limb ending with five phalanges. Each phalange contained a magnetic pulse cannon since I prefer to fight at range. I could also touch another player to use a gentle magnetic pulse to heal.

Recalling my dream I made the exosuit appear as a mature overweight human. Maybe extremely obese would be a better description since I would appear to be in full plate armor. The beetle wings posterior to and hidden within the torso.

Armored bumblebee with power stinger concept coloring the exosuit in black and yellow stripes.

While I was a god of sorts with the healing domain I did require air, moisture and energy occasionally to prevent going into hibernation. For this I added a miniaturized xoxo forest lining the interior surface of the exosuit. It could provide me with oxygen and keep the moisture level comfortable. And provide traction for me to move quickly through the exosuit if I needed to make internal repairs to various components.

Hmm. I forgot to make the exosuit appear male or female. Since I was neither I forgot there was a difference. Since I didn't know if this would be a factor in the game I added both traits and would switch between them as needed. The exosuit could make minor cosmetic changes as needed.

I thought to include some wealth management in the form of a pocket dimension located in the head section. I will store any treasure I find in that empty space while I flow throughout the rest of the exosuit.

Further considering I added eight compound eyes. Placing two eyes facing forward, sideways and backwards with the last two compound facing upwards.

I should bring some star crystal cores, metal ores and divine/infernal scrolls to trade for the local currency as well.

Lastly I added the universal translator so I could communicate with the other players. In my dream I had been unable to communicate and that hindered performance.

I was finally ready so I entered through the posterior inferior aspect of the torso and plugged the entry after. Trying the left-right movement of the legs was a good shakedown run before entering the teleport gate. I selected my destination, the fantasy RPG genre and class of adventurer. Space collapsed around me as I was whisked to my game destination.
