True Doomsday

Metropolis

Metropolis was considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. But what differentiated the city from all the others was that it was the home of Superman. Today the city was peaceful as always, many years as past since the appearance of the man of steel and The Justice League. During those many years, Superman had faced against a lot of traits, protecting the city. Now after all those years with all of his enemies defeated the city finally turned into a true metropolis as it didn't receive any attack from villains for many months.

But on that day the peace that had become so common in the city was broken, as what resembles a green meteor came crashing down, going through any building that was unlucky enough to be on its path. With a loud sound and a huge explosion, it landed heavily on the ground, creating a huge crater.

As everyone was standing in shock, watching what just happened, they saw superman come flying down immediately their confidence was boosted. As they know full well that nothing can harm them with superman here. But they were faced with an even greater shock, as all the founders of the league also came to the site of the impact. Nobody understood why all of them came, that is until the smoke cleared away as it revealed none other than the green Lantern who right now was gravely injured.

As they arrived, Superman flew toward Hal Jordan, asking him what happened. Weakly opening his eyes Hal saw the fast of Superman then suddenly, he grabbed Superman's arm and with a look of fear on his face, he said a few words before passing out.

Walking next to Superman, Batman asks what everyone was thinking. "What did he say?"

With a puzzled look, Superman responded "Run, the true Doomsday is coming"

Watchtower

A few days had already passed, during this time the leaguer had a meeting about what happened but they couldn't understand anything. So they had to wait for Hal to wake up. So today the founding Members of the league were standing in front of Hal who had woken up a few minutes ago.

Taking the lead Superman speaks first "Are you alright? how do you feel?"

"I feel alright ... hmm, what happens?" he asks.

Taking a step close Batman started speaking "You crash-landed in Metropolis."

"What? when did this happen?" He asks, confuses.

"A few days ago, don't worry about it," Superman said.

"Do you know what happened?" Batman asks.

"..." Hal was taking a moment to go through his memories.

"You say something about Doomsday," Batman said, to try to help him remember.

But as soon as he heard the name Doomsday it was as though he remembers everything. He immediately tries to get up but Superman and Flash hold him down, he then suddenly starts screaming.

"He is coming, Doomsday is coming."

"What are you talking about? We trapped him in the phantom zone," Superman said, trying to reassure him.

"No, you do understand he said as he stopped struggling, prompting Superman and Flash to stop holding him down.

"You don't understand." He said weakly "He then proceeds to stretch his hand out pulling the green lantern ring into his fingers. He then created a hologram of a much different doomsday. This one was bigger, had less spike and had more hair than the previous one.

"It is just a clone we can defeat him," Superman said, having the confidence that he and the league can defeat Doomsday, as they did many times.

"NO," he cries out. "He is the real one, The True Doomsday."

Feeling that something was wrong Batman asked "what do you mean?"

"He is not a clone. All of the doomsday you fight before was some far, far inferior clone of him.

"How did you learn about this?" Batman asks seriously.

"A month ago I was called by the Guardians. Upon seeing them I could see a look of sadness on their face. Guy and John were also there, they proceeded to tell us that earth was doom. We thought it was a joke but they proceeded to show us the same picture I just showed you guys. Of course just like you guys I thought it was a clone of doomsday, telling them that we could defeat them. But they proceed to tell us about a legend. Angered by their word and not believing that he couldn't defeat him we ask them for help, to stop him before he reaches earth but they told me that they would confront him in fear of the Green Lantern being wiped out.

Hal then laughs "We fled and went to fight him. Obviously, we were defeated. While the rest of them were captured. While i managed to escape wanting to warn you guys of his coming.

"So you fought with him? How Strong was he?" Batman asks.

"No. We did even get through his first subord... Fuck I forget she is supposed to arrive today." He suddenly screams the last part of his sentence

"Who?" superman asks.

But Hal didn't have to answer, as everyone in the watchtower and everyone on the planet suddenly heard a female voice.
