Slaughter (Part 3)

I think I should have said this sooner, so my bad. The present Doomsday is not as strong as Superman. In the comic upon their first confrontation when Doomsday punches Superman the first time Superman didn't even move but at that moment Doomsday evolved and got adapted to Superman's ability and with the second punch he sent Superman flying.

The citizens of Khundia were under a lot of stress days had passed since that monster showed up and under his non-stop rampage they were forced to go into hiding while leaving the military and the government to deal with him.

But they were left disappointed as nothing they did manage to stop him. This made the people even more scared was the video of their most recent confrontation which was leaked.

In the video, something was clear the military had nothing that was able to hurt him. This placed the fear of Doomsday in them with most of the khund believing that it was the end. But on that day they received good news.

That they finally found a way to get rid of the beast and they would be doing a live broadcast to show the world their victory.

The plan of the khund was simple but at the same time complicated. The simple part of the plan consists of luring Doomsday into a spaceship and flying him away. The complicated part is that they are supposed to build a spaceship and build armor strong enough to protect kobald while he approaches Doomsday to lure him.

A few days later

As the broadcast started they were greeted with the glorious figure of Kobald standing in the middle of the road in a golden armor with a rocket launcher on his shoulder.

As he was standing in the middle of the road one of his soldiers came running at him. "His coming" He announced with fear in his eyes.

"Yeah, I see that " He responded, referring to the explosion going in the distance. Everyone, get ready, he announces as he gets in the back of a truck. Under his signal, everyone got in there position. A few seconds later at the end of the street, they saw a tank backing up while it keeps firing.

Suddenly another tank landed on top of it followed by Doomsday landing on top of them, causing a huge explosion.

In this sea of fire, a grey monster was standing unharmed and the soldier could see it but they swallowed their fear, knowing full well that they had work to do. With a bang, they started their confrontation by firing a tank shell at Doomsday hitting him straight in the face.

But as the smoke cleared they could see red eyes looking straight at them as his face healed. That is another thing they discover about Doomsday. On top of his strength and durability, they discover that he also possesses extreme regeneration.

Now having gained his attention the group started driving away at full speed while still firing at Doomsday as he was following them.

As the chase progressed Doomsday was taking apart the group one by one. While this was happening the world and Ashaosi were glued into their screen waiting for the result of their fight.

Kobalt was standing in the back of the truck as they were moving at full speed. With every second passing, he was getting more worried. He could only watch as his team was being killed. Currently, their group only consists of his car and another driving beside them.

"Kobalt can you hear me" Hearing the voice of his driver he snap out of his daze

What?"

"We almost…" Before he could finish his sentence he had to take a sharp turn as those landed next to them crushing the outer car that was right by them.

"Damn that beast! Drive faster" Kobalt yelled as he fired. With a loud boom, the rocket hit doomsday mid-jump slowing it down and giving them time to escape. Although this Doomsday was fueled by rage it didn't mean he didn't have some semblance of intelligence.

Punching the ground he cracked the concrete, taking a huge piece he flexed and threw it. Kobalt who was in the distance saw his action but didn't have time to warn his driver. The huge piece of concrete landed in front of the car and the driver couldn't do anything but look in despair as he collided with it, flipping the car and sending it flying away.

The car came to a stop as it smashed into a building Kobalt didn't waste any time. He immediately got out of the car and started running away as he contacted his leader telling them to prepare themself, that he was almost there. His driver didn't lie as he could already see the Spaceship.

While running he made sure that Doomsday was following him and Doomsday was doing just that. Every khund was watching in excitement as they could see what was going on with the help of the camera built-in Kobalt armor and the people filming in a chopper flying on top.

As he ran Kobalt went by different groups intending to slow the beast down. Kobalt knew that upon contact with the beast they wouldn't survive but he also knew that they had no choice but to sacrifice those brave soldiers for the sake of saving the planet.

After a few more minutes of running Kobalt finally reached the front of the Spaceship. Looking behind him he could see that Doomsday had already caught up to him.

"For Khundia" He yelled loudly as he took aim and fired. Upon the sudden attack, Doomsday got angrier and started moving toward him even faster. Running up the ramp he fired a second time. As the smoke started to clear he was prepared for the Beast to tackle him or something but he discovered something strange the beast was just standing there… looking at him.

"Now is no time to hesitate! Come on after me!" Kobalt yells as he fires again. But upon the clearing of the smoke, he discovered something more shocking. The beast was … smiling.

Doomsday then pointed his fist toward Kobalt as he proceeded to fire one of the bone protrusions from his knuckle, piercing Kobalt's shoulder and armor like it was nothing.

"Get over here" Doomsday yells as he reels him in, then slap him, sending him flying into a wall and at that moment the world went silent.

The beast could fucking talk.
