1 ~•Chapter 1•~

I was sitting on my couch when my doorbell rang. I was home alone and an only child. My parents were on a vacation for work. Then I heard the doorbell ring. "Hello!? Someone.. ANYONE!? My child and I are being chased after. We're freezing and have no food. PLEASE HELP U-" I ran to the door and opened it, but no one was there. I was puzzled and looked everywhere. I closed the door and went to my couch to watch more movies until I heard a bang on my back door. I jumped a bit frightened and sped to the door and that's when I saw them, they were soaking wet and had blood on themselves. "Come in hurry" I slammed the door behind them and shut all the curtains. I ran and got the first aid kit from the bathroom. "What happened to you guys?" I asked. "Have you seen the news at all today?" the woman asked frightened. "No" I went into the living room and tuned into the news while cleaning up cuts and bandaging them, "Breaking news: Two serial killers are on the loose. Locals are unsure of who they are and assume that they're on heading into town. We know that it IS a MAN and a WOMAN, so lock you doors and stay safe" I turned off the TV and rushed and turned off all of the lights. I went my room, I grabbed my phone to call my mom. "Mommy I'm scared" the kid muttered and started to sob. "Everything's going to be ok dear" She said trying to comfort her son. I ran into the kitchen grabbing flashlights, weapons, a radio, and some food. "Hungry?" I asked, The woman and childs stomach started to gurgle "yeah". I gave her and her some food that would hopefully fill them. "Thank you" they said eating little by little. I called my mom 'please pick up please pick up' I keep thinking as it went to voice mail. "Uuggghhhh" I called again and she finally picked up. "Mom! There's an issue" I shrieked "What? What's wrong? Do I need to come home!?" She said in a panic. "NO DON'T COME HOME!! It's not safe" I said "There's a serial killer on the loose and I have a lady and her child with me now. So whatever you do don't come home" I explained and suddenly the lights went out. The kid shrieked in terror. I turned on the flashlight and grabbed everything quickly. "Come on to the basement" I said leading them to the basement "Mom I have to go I love you and I'll update you on everything" before her mom could answer I hung up.
