7 Chapter 7: Upgrading

"Hm.. Strange, Nothing happened to my body, Usually it would glow after receiving something from the System." Jinsoo muttered, examining himself closely.

As Jinsoo stands up he feels that his body is more lighter than it used to be.

Trying to understand the changes, Jinsoo stretched his legs.

"Hm.. I know for a fact that my Leg Muscle feels different now, It became more strong or whatever after I picked that 'Speed Boost'." Jinsoo thought

"Definitely a great improvement," Jinsoo thought to himself, feeling pleased with his progress.

"If I'm correct I still got 2,000 points left, Maybe I'll use that to upgrade my stats." Jinsoo thinks.

And Jinsoo speak as he said "System, Open Menu."

The System popped up right in front of him as Jinsoo quickly navigated to the "Stats" Tab.

And as he made his way there, His stats are displayed:

-Below Average (578) |+|

-Potential (Untapped) 

-Special Skills

(Currently Have No Special Skills) 

-Average Looks (306) |+|

-Combat Experience (Skilled)

-Weapon Experience (Novice)

"I remembered my physical stats being 339 and now it's up to 578... Maybe because my speed got upgraded?"

Jinsoo scratched his head, trying to make sense of the numbers.

"Huh, strange. Even though my speed got upgraded and my stats went up, I'm still considered below average?"

Just as Jinsoo keep looking in his stats and thinking, he saw his Combat Experience

"Woah, I just noticed it now but my Combat Experience leveled up from Novice to Skilled."

"Well, I am not surprised at all because of how many skills I learned this day. Thanks to that overpowered skill that I got for a cheap price (Copy)"

"Well, Maybe I'll put 1,000 on physical stats and the other 1,000 on looks?" Jinsoo contemplating.

"Actually, now that I think about it, I'm pretty content with my appearance as it is. I don't really need to upgrade it at the moment,"

Jinsoo reasoned with himself. "I'll consider upgrading it later on, but for now, I'll focus on other aspects."

And as he thinks and finally decided to put his 2,000 points on his Physical Stats.

The System popped up informing him that:

"Are you sure of upgrading your stats? Any done transaction can't be reversed."

And Jinsoo clicked the 'Yes' Button just below the message.

As usual, Jinsoo body glowed for a straight 7 seconds before returning back to normal.

As he glanced back on the System's Screen he saw his new stats:

- Strong (2,578) |+|

-Potential (Blooming) 

-Special Skills

(Currently Have No Special Skills) 

-Average Looks (306) |+|

-Combat Experience (Skilled)

-Weapon Experience (Novice)

"Finally, I am now considered 'Strong'." Jinsoo said.

Observing more he noticed something,

"Wait.. My Potential is Blooming? I know for a fact that my Potential is untapped just before I upgraded."

"Hey System, What does 'Potential' Does to my body?"

And the System answers with:

"Your potential is a crucial factor in determining the limits of your growth within the System."

"Think of it like a ceiling that sets boundaries for how strong and capable you can become."

"If your potential is high, it means there's plenty of room for growth. You have the ability to achieve new heights and push past your current limitations, growing exponentially as you continue to train and upgrade your stats."

"On the other hand, if your potential is weak, you'll find yourself hitting a ceiling much sooner."

"Even with rigorous training, your body will reach a point where it considers your stats as your 'Max Stats,' unable to progress further."

"It's like trying to fill a small cup with water; no matter how much you pour in, it can only hold so much."

"So, having a greater potential grants you the opportunity to become even stronger, reaching heights that others with weaker potential can only dream of."

Jinsoo thought aloud "Very Interesting..."

"I think I'll rest for now, Since I'm very tired after doing that 5 hours of physical training."

As Jinsoo closed the Menu, He quickly lays on the cold concrete floor, And closes his eyes.
