5 Unexpected Variable!

As I made my way toward my desk, a sudden and lightning-fast punch came at me from the crowd.

*Bam...*

The force of the blow was intense. I quickly reacted and managed to block it with both of my arms, but the impact was so strong that it propelled me backwards, sending me flying a staggering three meters back, crashing into the opposite wall.

Confusion and surprise filled my mind as I wondered, 'What was that punch?'

'My reaction speed is 30 milliseconds which is faster than any average human and even though I limit my abilities at half right now, that's still 60 milliseconds, which is already inhumane, but still, I barely blocked his sudden punch at the last moment.'

In a serious tone, I questioned him, "Who are you? What is the meaning of this?"

He responded in a carefree manner, "I am Kwon Daegun, a first-year student. I am here to challenge you, the class head, for the ranking battle of the first years. Consider that sudden punch as the friendly greeting exchange before the match."

As I processed his words, a mix of disbelief and concern filled my mind. 'What the hell? Is he insane? Calling that a friendly greeting?' I thought to myself. However, I quickly brushed aside those thoughts. There were more pressing matters at hand.

But wait, did I hear his name correctly? Kwon Daegun? The name did ring a bell, and as I observed him more closely, a sense of familiarity washed over me. There was an undeniable mysterious aura surrounding him, adding to the intrigue of the situation.

As I took in Kwon Daegun's appearance, it was hard not to notice his striking handsomeness. His dark black eyes, complemented by his black hair, added to his allure. Standing at approximately 5.10 feet tall and boasting a perfectly muscular build, weighing around 85 kg, he exuded a sense of strength and confidence that further enhanced his charm.

Wait a minute... Isn't he the protagonist of the Manhwa titled 'The Bully in Charge?' That's right, he's the same, Kwon Daegun. If my memory serves me right, he was referred to as the "Incheon king" in the Manhwa. He managed to conquer Incheon in a mere two weeks during his first year of high school.

There's a saying within the pages of the Manhwa that goes, 'It's better to be hit by a bullet than to take a punch from Kwon Daegun.'

As I pondered the unexpected turn of events, doubts crept into my mind. 'Huh, but I never wished for this. Did something go wrong? And that Supreme Being, or 'god,' did seem suspicious during our departure. Could he have manipulated things?'

While I was processing this sudden twist, Kwon Daegun broke the silence, his hands nonchalantly tucked in his pants pockets.

"Come to the basketball court after school. I'll be waiting," he said in his carefree tone.

With a smirk forming on my face, I responded, "Sure, I'll be there. See you soon."

Regardless of any potential divine intervention, I couldn't deny the intriguing nature of the situation unfolding before me.

As I contemplated the situation, I couldn't help but find it intriguing. 'Never mind whatever strings the God is pulling,' I thought to myself. This unexpected challenge presented a unique opportunity for me.

If Kwon Daegun is indeed the new transfer student, this would be a perfect chance for me to assess his fighting style firsthand. I could scan his abilities by engaging in a fight with him. The vibration still lingers in my arms from blocking his initial punch.

He possessed an impressive perceptiveness. It was likely that he intended to test my fighting level by launching that sudden attack.

Little did he know that I was currently operating at only 50 per cent of my full ability. He would surely be surprised when he realized the true extent of my power. With a smirk adorning my face, I watched as he exited the classroom, my anticipation building for the encounter that awaited us at the basketball court.

In an authoritative tone, I commanded Kim Shin's underlings, "Hey, the two of you, take this knocked-down trash to the infirmary."

Without hesitation, they replied hurriedly, "Oh, yes sir."

They promptly moved to assist their fallen leader and escorted him to the infirmary, acknowledging my authority in the situation.

*Ring!* *Ring!*

As the school bell rang, signalling the end of classes and the start of the break, I felt a wave of relief wash over me. Listening to lectures has been quite tiresome.

'Now it's time to confront the precious material for my upgrade,' I thought to myself with anticipation. I couldn't wait to engage in a battle against a formidable opponent.

"Rooh, tell me the assumed power level of Kwon Daegun based on his punch," I requested from Rooh.

[Master, based on the strength behind his punch, you can defeat him by using 60 per cent of your total physical abilities.]

I couldn't help but feel a sense of intrigue. Kwon Daegun was indeed a formidable adversary, but I suspected that he hadn't exerted his full power in that punch. He might be even stronger than anticipated.

I reminded myself not to underestimate him just yet. This encounter promised to be a thrilling test of strength and skill.

"Rooh, limit my ability to 70 per cent and prepare to scan every single movement of his fighting style," I commanded.

Anticipating Kwon Daegun's renowned bullet-fast punches, I was determined to unravel the secret behind his technique.

'I need to understand the mechanics of his lightning-fast punches,' I thought to myself.

[I understood, Master.]

With my abilities now adjusted and my focus sharpened, I eagerly awaited the opportunity to face Kwon Daegun and uncover the secrets behind his formidable fighting style.

3rd Person POV

~~~~~~~~~~
Outside the basketball court.
Seo Jun opened the entrance door to the basketball court, he caught sight of seven students positioned at the centre. These individuals were the class head for the remaining first-year classes.
Upon noticing Seo Jun's arrival, everyone instinctively observed him with an analytical gaze. This was because they had all been informed of his victory over the strongest first-year class bully head, Kim Shin earlier that day.
While all eyes were fixed on Seo Jun,
*Whoosh.....*
The door swung open once more, revealing the central figure of today's event, Kwon Daegun. Having triumphed over every first-year bully head except Seo Jun, who had now become the new class 1-4 head, everyone had gathered there to witness the rise of the new head of the first-years.
Kwon Daegun, casting a casual glance at Seo Jun, spoke directly, "Good, you're here. Let's not waste any time; come at me."
Seo Jun eagerly listened to his words and promptly removed his jacket, responding, "Yeah, that's right. Show me what you've got Daegun."
Seo Jun was well aware of Daegun's keen perception and exceptional insight. He knew that in a prolonged fight, Daegun could easily identify anyone's weaknesses. However, Seo Jun had an advantage. He possessed 'Rooh' and his exceptional thought processing speed would be enough to counter Daegun's tactics.
