Chapter 7: Suho kang vs Yu Ijin

POV of Suho Kang

"I'm back," I said, observing the calm in the apartment.

It seemed that Hansu was currently in the dojang with Taehoon. I should take a shower and start doing some research on the dark web, as well as accelerate the creation of "Telegramm."

I didn't want to rush into my goals at first, and I didn't want to worry Hansu and his family.

I remember they were all concerned that I didn't have many "friends" and that I was obsessed with training but also with studies.

So I had decided to slow down a bit. I was going to leave their residence in 2 years anyway, but I changed my mind because of an encounter.

"Yu Ijin is indeed 2 years older than me, but that's no excuse for my eyes to react like that," I said, touching my eyes as I got out of the shower.

If I couldn't see anything but purple on Yu Ijin when I thought about attacking him, it just meant that misfortune would have befallen me, no matter where I attacked.

It should be known that even against Jame Lee during the competition, my eyes indicated non-violet areas, thus containing no misfortune for me in his guard.

After rethinking all of this, I decided to find a weapons master without Hansu Seong's help.

If I waited for him, I risked slowing down my progression even more.

So I'm currently searching on the dark web for interesting information that could put me on the trail of a strong person.

There were many rumors online, but I had to start somewhere. After an hour of research and paying a few online information vendors, I finally found an interesting person.

"So Xiuren exists in this universe too and she's active," I said, surprised by the information.

"If she's here, then her master too, right?" I murmured, thinking about the situation.

After a few minutes, I had made my decision. Tomorrow, I would go to the southwest sector of Seoul to find Wang Hao or the Cheonung trading compagny .

To make sure they took me seriously, I bought a huge number of shares in their company, and frankly, I almost cried doing it.

I had almost drained my savings accumulated over a long time, but I think I would easily recover them later.

"I just hope Hansu won't investigate too much about ''Cheonung trading compagny" even though I invested over a million dollars in it," I said, looking at the few thousand dollars I had left.

...

"How was your day?" Hansu asked, taking a piece of fish.

We were at the table currently. I had spent the rest of the afternoon settling the formalities of my investment in the organization called Cheonung trading compagny.

Unfortunately, I hadn't had time to work much on Telegramm. I felt like I would spend a good part of the night working.

"It was a good day and I got to talk to Hansol. I think we'll be very close in the future," I said, drinking the soup.

"You have nothing else to tell me?" he said, frowning.

"Dad, did big brother Suho do something wrong?" Taehoon asked, alternating between me and Hansu.

He used to address me politely in Hansu's presence, but in private, the little devil showed his true face.

And it seemed that, without even realizing it, Hansu and I had created an awkward atmosphere at the table.

"Yes, your big brother Suho committed a mistake and I'd like to know why," he said, glancing at me.

"I couldn't let 'my money' rot eternally in my bank account," I said nonchalantly.

"I see, you don't want to tell me more," Hansu said with a disappointed expression.

"I'll need your approval to formalize my investment. If you could contact the bank, that would be nice," I asked, getting up to go to my room.

"Yes, I'll authorize this transaction. After all, it's 'your money '," he said, continuing to eat calmly.

In the end, I parted that evening with Hansu clearly angry at me, and I think he believed I had made an immature decision with my money.

I preferred he thought that. If he found out that I had invested my savings of over 4 years in a suspicious organization, I think he would raid at Cheonung trading compagny himself.

...

"Hey, Yu Ijin," I said, walking casually towards him in front of the school.

"You must be his little sister," I said to the girl next to him.

"Yes, I'm Yu Ijin's sister... my name is Yu Dayun," she said, introducing herself with a little hesitation.

Although I wasn't too interested in school activities, I knew she had been a victim of bullying and it seemed that had already affected her self-confidence.

"Nice to meet you, Yu Dayun, I'm Suho Kang," I said with a smile.

Throughout our interaction, Yu Ijin hadn't said a word, but he was simply observing me.

He was really a difficult person to read, but I hadn't noticed any purple glow during my conversation with Yu Dayun or Yu Ijin, which meant my decision to talk to them hadn't attracted any misfortune.

Finally, we had walked the rest of the way together.

"Why did you make contact with me?" Ijin asked in the hallway.

He seemed to be on his guard, and I could understand that. Compared to the other students, I could be considered a threat according to his standards.

He must have also investigated me.

"I want to be friends, plain and simple," I said nonchalantly, a half-truth.

"Friends? With me?" he said, clearly confused, and I could tell he was genuinely so.

"Yes, I told you yesterday, didn't I? You're strong and I don't have any friends here," I said, looking towards the classroom.

"It's normal for similar people to get close, don't you think?" I asked, looking him in the eye.

He ended up nodding.

"Yes, you're right, but I don't think we're similar," he said with a distant look. He was probably thinking about the battlefield.

"You think I'm not in your league?" I said, smiling at him.

I knew he didn't think that, but since I had met him, my blood had been boiling in my veins at the idea of fighting him.

I really wanted to measure myself against this guy.

"It's not like that, I..." At the moment Yu Ijin was about to explain himself, I attacked him with a simple jab aimed at his Adam's apple.

People tend to underestimate the speed of a jab in English boxing, but it's one of the simplest yet most effective attacks in combat.

And I had aimed for his throat because my eyes indicated he had let his guard down.

As expected, he was able to block it with his hand, but it still struck his throat and he stepped back.

I took advantage of this to grab him by the shirt and throw him to the ground with a judo technique known as Ippon.

"Yu Ijin, I'm going to prove we're alike," I said, spouting this nonsense as I came towards him.

I just wanted to see what my level was, compared to a battlefield legend like him, and if we became friends afterwards, then I wouldn't say no.

I should thank Naruto Sensei for teaching me the art of fighting and making friends.

"I don't think the place is well chosen for our confrontation," Yu Ijin declared, looking around.

There were high school students watching us. I remembered this idiot cared a lot about his ordinary high school student image.

"You and me, after class, behind the school," I said, holding out my hand to help him up off the ground.

This act could seem stupid. I had just attacked him in a vital area for a human being and thrown him to the ground, but a few minutes later, I was helping him up.

I could only react that way because it was Yu Ijin in front of me. He had lived in an environment where it was normal for an enemy of yesterday to become an ally today, and I hadn't attacked him with any real murderous intent anyway.

As expected, he accepted my help to get up.

Author's Note: I don't know why, but I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of this confrontation myself. Am I weird?
