Inwardly, she was actually a little relieved. Daniel was so good looking that she had in fact been a little nervous the entire time since the start of their date. She had only been very good at suppressing and not letting her anxiety been shown. Even singing and dancing in front of Daniel had been more nerve-wracking than any other time she had sung in front of other people.

Knowing that he wasn't a perfect human being after all did more to appease her nerves.

"What song would you like? I will help to queue it up for you." She offered while going over to the Karaoke machine.

Daniel wracked his brain, thinking of song he was comfortable with singing. There was a few he regularly sang when in the shower, so he had memorized a good portion of the lyrics. The tune was also something he was familiar with. So if he had to sing…

"For You, by Yim Jae Beom… It's quite an old song, so it's a little embarrassing, but it is a song I know well."

"Oh, I think I've heard it before. My mom likes the song." She replied while queuing up the song.

'So you're saying it's a song from your mom's generation…? Well, it's true though.'

The melody started and Daniel refocused himself. He stood up in front of the table and counted down the beat in his head, while Hana went to sit back down on the couch. It was his first time singing in front of another person and he didn't want to embarrass himself by performing too badly.

"We probably, with a complicated fate, have an entangled love with each other…" He began with the first verse.

The moment Daniel started singing, Hana was stunned.

'What the hell…? He is so good! This jerk, was he just playing a prank?' She thought his voice was angelic, and there was definitely a practiced ease as he hit the high and low notes comfortably.

The guy in question had not been paying attention to Hana. The moment he started singing, he felt himself get into the song and the melody. His shyness quickly faded away, feeling like he was back in his old body, singing to himself in the shower and using the nozzle as a microphone.

"I'm going to depart from you. For you, I'm going to leave…"

As he hit the last note on the final verse, Daniel felt relieved. Like a burden had lifted up from his shoulders. Finally showing something he had always been incredibly secretive of and ashamed about to another person. Even if it was bad and he received mockery, Daniel felt that he would be okay with it.

He felt like he had taken out his heart and showed it to the world, 'This is me. Like it or not, I don't care. Because this is who I am.'

Daniel breathed out a sigh of relief and turned back to Hana, no longer scared but rather looking forward to her reaction.

He saw her with her jaw agape, and a deep blush on her expression. And as though she had just noticed Daniel finished the song and was now looking at her, she quickly fixed her expression before narrowing her gaze at him.

She stood up and pointed an accusatory finger at him, "It's unfair!"

Daniel, who was expecting her to say something like, 'it was only okay, but you did your best', was confused. "Unfair? What is?"

"You are!" She answered with furrowed brows, "You are tall, super handsome AND you can sing incredibly well too? It's unfair!"

"Eh…? Does that mean you liked my singing?" He asked cluelessly, still uncertain of what she was talking about.

"Wha- Oppa are you playing dumb? Do you like teasing me by pretending that you can't sing before showing me up with that amazing performance?" She pouted and folded her arms.

'Cute…' He couldn't help but think while scratching his cheek awkwardly, "Pretending? I really don't know what to say. I've never sang in front of anyone before, so I never knew if I was good or bad at it… I'm sorry."

Hana's eyes widened upon seeing Daniel look apologetic, "W-well, I'm not really angry! I just thought that you were playing a prank on me or something… You really never sang in front of other people before?"

"Yes really. But I'm glad that you liked it." He smiled, his mood lightening after hearing that Hana wasn't actually mad at him.

'It's hard to be mad at him when he is so handsome…' Hana thought that his smile was blinding, and rapidly changed the subject.

"I liked it! But oppa, are you really in the Fashion and Clothing Design department? You can sing so well, and you are handsome too. I think you should join the Vocal and Dance department instead!" She exclaimed.

Daniel was troubled, "Again? Why do people keep saying that? I don't want to be an idol or a celebrity. I think that kind of lifestyle doesn't suit me."

Hana put a finger to her glossy lips, "People keep saying that because it makes sense. But hey, you should do what you like. Nobody should have a say in what you want to do in the future. If you want to be a clothing designer, then no one but yourself can stand in your way!"

"You're right. Thanks for your support Hana." He smiled brightly at her.

She felt her heart thumping while her stomach did a somersault inside of her, "O-of course! I got your back, oppa!"

His radiant smile didn't dissipate and Hana thought she was going to explode if she didn't look away, but she felt like she could not bear to do so…

Her glossy lips felt dry as Hana took a tentative step forward, throwing 'The Look' towards Daniel. Chin down, large, doe eyes looking up while biting her lips. At this moment, she wondered what it would be like kissing an angel.

But before she could do anything else, however, someone knocked at the door and disrupted the moment.

The door swung open and the multi-room employee walked in wheeling a cart stacked with plates of food.

"Hello, I've got your order here."

AUDIENCE POLL RESULT

More people voted for 1 (Vanilla harem-management), which was also what I voted for. A few also said they wanted a bit of both. My answer to that is: Maybe? I will have to wait and see my mood when writing, but I am leaning more towards vanilla.

Thank you for voting, and of course I always appreciate your support.
