I will use the translation of the Korean names in the next chapter. This will save me a lot of time.

Don't expect a chapter schedule for this story, as I am still writing it and posting it on my patreon, I will create a schedule only when I have a decent amount of chapters.

Waking up in a different life was not really in Max's life plans, but from the looks of it, fate really did have different plans for him.

It took him a whole day to get his head on straight, but even so, the situation was still very unreal for him.

After all, who in their right mind could hope that one day they would see themselves in someone else's body?

It was too fictitious for Max to believe that it was really happening.

But all the evidence was there. He could feel pain, he could taste, and he could smell the stinky environment that was his room. This was real, and none of his arguments about how the situation was too unrealistic to happen would change that.

Max realized this, so instead of staying in denial, he preferred to research who he was and where he was.

It didn't take long for him to find his wallet with some useful documents.

"Taeyang Suk Hwan... Is that the name of that body? Is that Korean?"

While he was reading his identity information, he couldn't help but notice something interesting: He could perfectly understand the language used in the documents.

Which was very strange, since the only language Max was fluent in was English.

Putting that aside for the moment, Max focused on a crucial piece of information in his document, his brow furrowing in annoyance.

"Republic of Korea... I'm on the other side of the world... And I don't know anything about that country."

Sighing, he put his wallet away and looked around.

The room was a mess, and there was garbage scattered all over the place, which was an indication that the former owner of this body was not the most organized person.

"What a stench." Covering his nose, Max began to pick up the dirty clothes strewn across the floor and began to pile them in one place.

"I'm going to have a lot of work."

____Max Pov____

It took a while, but eventually I finished cleaning the whole room. It was a great way to keep my mind occupied, since thinking about the situation I am in was driving me crazy.

After walking around the house a bit, I immediately realized that it was an apartment, and considering that there was only one room and no sign of other people, the former owner of this body must live alone.

Which was unusual, since from the documents, he... I should have been 18.

The idea of being in another life is still very strange to me, after all, I have lived 25 years of my life as Max. It would take me a while to adjust to this situation, assuming I don't suddenly return to my old life.

In my teens, before I completely focused on my career as a wrestler, I read a few Manhwas and novels, so reincarnation was not a foreign topic to me. Of course, no amount of reading could prepare someone in case something like this really happened, but it helped me to be a little relieved.

After all, who wouldn't want a second chance?

I have wasted a lot of my life trying to have a career in MMA, so I haven't been able to experience many things in life. Even though I love martial arts, I would still like to take this chance to try other hobbies.

Moreover, all my years of training were not lost. I still remember perfectly everything I learned in my 7 years of training and...

That's strange...

I always had trouble remembering some techniques, but now...

I can visualize them perfectly in my mind.

Looking down at my fist, I clenched it in my fingers as I visualized countless techniques I had learned during my training.

Has my memory improved at all? Is it the brain in this body?

Mounting a boxer's stance, I quickly punched the air, moving around quickly as I continued to strike.

Even my movements have improved, that is...

"Amazing."

It is really a shame that this body is so weakened.

Stopping moving as fatigue overtook me after only a few strokes, I sat up in bed, moving my eyes to my arm only to notice countless tiny dots scattered about.

Needle marks, and they look recent.

From the looks of it, I found the reason I woke up in this body, if the marks on my arm and the needles in the bathroom trash were any indication.

A possible overdose.

I feel sorry for the boy. Only 18 years old, and he ended up suffering an unpleasant fate.

I apologize for taking your body right after you left. The least I can do for having this second chance is to get this body's life back on track.

Which I would do anyway.

After all, from the looks of it, it is my life now....

I'm accepting this well. Well, not having left too much behind is helping me with that.

I will miss those who have accompanied me in my journey as a professional, but I am not too sad to suddenly wake up in another body. I am sure they would wish me luck.

Getting up, I walked to the kitchen. Unlike the bedroom, the rest of the house was considerably preserved, although there were a few dirty places here and there, but that would be easy to clean up.

The cupboards and refrigerator were practically empty, which is not very surprising, considering the drug addiction of the former owner of this body and how thin and weak he is.

Unfortunately, it looks like it will be a while before I can put flesh on those arms of mine.

Pulling out my wallet, I noticed some strange notes, which were supposed to be Korean currency. Wons, if I was not mistaken.

In total, there are 30,000 ₩. Whether that's a lot, I have no idea, but I hope it's enough to buy some instant noodles or something.

Looking at my clothes, I realized that they were dirty. Unfortunately, there were no clean ones, so I would have to leave this way.

With a sigh, I started walking toward the entrance door.

Stinky, it was still better than naked.

.

Aside from the looks of disgust I received from people, there were no unforeseen events on my journey to find a convenience store in the middle of the night.

And it didn't take long for me to find it.

Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was the person behind the cashier, a short, overweight guy. He seemed focused on a book, so I decided not to bother him.

Proceeding to the shelves, I started looking at the prices of the items. Unfortunately, 30,000 ₩ was not enough to buy everything I wanted, so I opted to pick up several instant noodles and three bananas.

It wasn't the best kind of meal, but it would help me survive for a few days. At least that's what I hope.

The last thing I want is for my body to collapse due to malnutrition.

As I approached the counter, the cashier seemed to notice me. I could see his nose sniffling, but still, he gave me a friendly smile.

For some reason, this boy looks familiar to me.

Placing my items on the counter, he began to calculate the total amount, not taking time to turn to me.

"The total value is ₩ 28,000."

I nodded in satisfaction, taking the money from my wallet and handing it over.

I will still have 2,000 left. It is good to always have an emergency amount in case something bad happens.

"Thank you."

Thanking him as he put my items in a bag, I picked it up and left the store.

The feeling that I knew him was still in my mind, but because I couldn't remember it at all, I decided to put it aside. For now, eating something was more important.

Walking back home, I couldn't help but wonder.

In this short walk, I could see that this is really real.

And from the looks of it, that will be my life now.

My life as Taeyang Suk Hwan...

It will take me a while to get used to these Asian names.
