____Narration____

The days passed relatively normally. Lohan eventually heard rumors of a stolen wallet, which he vaguely remembered from the original story, but it wasn't something he cared about. In fact, it was a part of the story that Lohan cared more about turning the pages than anything else.

He was mainly concerned with keeping himself fed, and filling the fridge so that two people could have enough to eat.

Little Eli Jang hadn't gone away since the day Lohan rescued him from the streets. Although quiet, he was a normal child, interested in simple things like toys or cartoons.

Having spent a week looking after him, Lohan even left her cell phone with the boy so that he could have something to watch during the day, since the little boy didn't leave the house very often.

In the early days, Lohan was worried about having another mouth to feed, but this worry eased considerably when he finally got a part-time job.

And that was...

General market worker.

Lohan didn't really care what job he got. His past experiences had trained his mind so that he could handle anything thrown at him, after all, he needed to balance his life as a fighter with his life as a salaried employee.

Unfortunately, his body wasn't as trained as his mind, and this became clear when he began to arrive home extremely tired.

Fortunately, the pay was weekly, and although it wasn't much, it helped him to get by.

All in all, his life in this new world was going well. Slowly, he was putting some meat on his muscles, and soon he wouldn't have to worry about having broken bones with every fight.

At school, he was dedicated enough to learn his subjects. Fortunately, most of the classes were geared towards the students' future as designers, which was very beneficial for him, as he intended to make a profit from his designs in the future.

He hadn't spoken to Vasco, Daniel or Jace in a while, and frankly, he really wasn't in the mood.

He liked them, but the last thing he wanted was to get too involved in the plot. The last time he'd done that, he'd ended up with some broken ribs and had to fight members of one of the Four Major Crews.

As for Vin Jin, he just avoided him ever since. With his glasses, Lohan felt confident of holding his own against him, but if he got too angry and took them off, a beating awaited him.

As he walked through the corridors, he ended up exchanging a few glances with Mary, nothing more. At least she didn't seem to resent him for abandoning them at the arcade.

"I'm home."

Announcing his arrival with a sigh, Lohan entered his house while yawning, his eyes moving down to find a small Eli Jang bent over in front of him.

Lohan gave the boy a tired look, just walking past him as he messed up his hair. Knowing that this was a custom used to say thank you, Eli started using it every time Lohan came home.

Lohan didn't like this, after all, he hadn't helped the boy expecting thanks. For him, this gesture, although appreciated, was uncomfortable in his eyes.

"Come on, kid. I said you don't have to do this every time."

He had already been looking after the boy for two weeks, and the boy hadn't forgotten this gesture for a single day.

"I see." Nodding in confirmation, the boy undid his posture and walked quickly towards the kitchen, where Lohan was already preparing something for dinner.

"You say that every time." Sighing, Lohan opened the kitchen cupboards and took a look at her stash. It wasn't full, but Lohan didn't complain. "Do you have anything in mind for today?"

Eli looked thoughtful for a moment, but soon nodded negatively.

"I see... Then I'll make an omelette, shall I?" With a teasing smile, Lohan turned to the boy, only to see his face fill with concern.

Living with the boy, Lohan soon realized what the boy liked and didn't like to eat, and his main dislike was eggs.

Understandable, after all, it was cheap food, which he had probably already eaten too much of on the street.

"Just kidding, just kidding!" Nodding with a playful smile, Lohan took a pot of rice out of the cupboard, moving to grab other ingredients from the fridge. "I'll make fried rice, I know you like it."

Little Eli's eyes seemed to fill with joy, something he didn't show on his features, but Lohan noticed.

"By the way, kid. Do you have my cell phone?" With realization suddenly taking over his features, Lohan turned to Eli as he asked.

The boy nodded in agreement, walking quickly towards the living room and returning with his cell phone in hand.

"Thanks, I'll get back to you in a few minutes."

Picking up the device, Lohan immediately opened her bank app.

His expression filled with serenity when he saw the amount in his bank account.

Balance: 200523₩

Nodding in satisfaction, Lohan left his cell phone on the table, indicating that the boy could have it back if he wanted it.

'I'll buy food tomorrow.' Starting to prepare dinner, Lohan thought as he moved around the kitchen, his ears picking up the sound of something he knew well.

*Clash Royale Intro Song

Letting out a slight laugh, Lohan turned to Eli Jang who seemed completely focused on the game in his hands, shaking his head as he turned back to the table.

"..."

While the harmonious atmosphere took over inside, on the street in front of the apartment, a hooded figure watched the windows of the residence with a dangerous smile on his lips.

"I found you."

"My Eli Jang."
