6 The Goblin III (End)

MC POV

"Let's freaking go!" I shout in my mind arrogantly as I look at the knocked-out Tom in front of me. Grabbing the jug beside me, I use it to wash my face of the blood, feeling a rush of cold water sliding over my face.

My only motivation to train these past years was to only become soooo strong that I could behave like a complete asshole in front of powerhouses like Charles, Kim, and others, while of course getting all the girls.

And now, I'm sure. I am more than ready to enter this game of oldies. I still have a year until the canon starts, giving me one more year to drag my ass through nails to become completely "The Honored One."

With a determined grin, I set my sights on my goal. My name was already famous in the field. After all, it's not every day a teenager willing to set fire to a country for money, a person who believes everything has a price comes around. More than 100 contracts in two years and a 100% success rate— who does that?

I approached the old man sitting a meter across from me, I noticed his mouth hanging open as if he had seen something impossible. With my towering height, he had to look up to meet my gaze. "Time to close the deal, ain't we?" I asked, knocking him out of his stupor.

"Yes-yes," the old man stammered, seeming to snap back to reality. Soon, the sound of multiple helicopter blades filled the air, signaling the arrival of reinforcements. Within five minutes, people in all black flooded the area, outnumbering even Tom's people. As they surrounded me, multiple laser marks appeared on my head, indicating that I was their target.

The only difference was they were clad in armor from head to toe, they were not like those average mercenaries. I could feel it — they were not your average fighters. Somewhere strong, not on Tom's level, but still strong enough to appear in two or three chapters.

"Sigh... Come on, oldie, I've done the job," I spoke in annoyance. Dealing with people like this, who refused to pay after the dirty work, wasn't the first time for me. I hated having to do extra work just to get the money on top of what I was already paid for.

"Stand down," he raised his hand suddenly, and all the rifles were lowered with the lasers disappearing one by one. "Magnificent. I never believed a teenager could single-handedly fold the White Tiger. You are worth more than all my security personnel combined."

I could swear I saw stars in his eyes as he spoke of me, like a fanboy. Soon, a middle-aged dude in a standard butler outfit came holding a suitcase. "Here, double the deal and a favor to the 'Goblin' " he smiled as he gave me the suitcase.

Taking a dollar note from the big suitcase, I wrote something and folded it neatly. "Here," I said, looking him right in the eye, emphasizing the seriousness of the matter. Leaning in closer to his ear, I continued, ensuring that no one else could hear. "This better remain highly confidential as the favor is not for 'Goblin'....but Jin Fushigiro."

Leaning back, I gave him a business smile before turning around to go for my next mission. I had no intention of slacking off just because I was strong. It never hurts to become the strongest.

"How about one more deal?"

"No, I'm bored of these small games. I'm going to straight up invade Poland now," I declared, my crazed determination driving me to work three times as hard. My name should reverberate in everyone's heart: "The Goblin," the money-hungry monster who stops at nothing to achieve his greed.

"Three billion," the man offered.

I stopped in my tracks as I heard the reward. It was more than two times my current net worth. But big money equals big problems, and big problems equals big money!

3 hrs later

[The Sakura House]

"So you're asking me to babysit?" I inquired, glancing at the photo of the girl in my hand.

"As I've told you, it's time for the next generation, so the power struggle has already begun in K group. I don't want any unnecessary bloodshed,"

"Weaklings are destined to die, so why bother? And I don't think she will survive for much longer if her own uncles are trying to kill her," I remarked, my tone indifferent I have better things to do.

"It's a promise that I made in the past, and I believe that more than her uncles, she has the potential to lead K Group to a bright future," he spoke in a matter-of-fact tone, his confidence was unnaturally high.

Looking at the photo, a bulb just lit up in my head. Female MC, business world... Is this another story in the PTJ universe, like Park Taijoon's work? If it is, then it's definitely worth sticking around, and moreover looking at her photo she indeed has potential ;-).

"So how about 30 billions?"
