Lian Qiao pushed the door open and a faint scent of grass wafted into Su Ying's nose.

There was only a bed made of bamboo, a chair with peeling paint, and a cabinet whose original color was no longer discernible. Other than that, there was nothing else in the room.

The moment Su Ying entered the room, the little boy sitting on the bed looked at her warily.
