Welcome to Nightmare (01)

"Hey system, who even is they!? Such a broad term can kiss my ass!" Alban was so angry, he almost decided to let loose his compiled complaints. Unfortunately, he felt it was not time for it yet, the plan barely even lasted 10 minutes.

"User is advised to proceed with the final draw."

Although unsatisfied with the lackluster reply, Alban felt just a tiny bit of relief from this statement. He vaguely remembered reading a book with a system that could punish you for not being compliant! Knowing he should proceed with the system's suggestion in order to find out how to live, he pressed the draw button one last time.

The panel faded. Resolved not to freak out anymore for fear of looking stupid and attracting whatever "they" is, he sat back down and waited. Soon, a lovely smell entered his nose. At least, he thought so, until it became cloyingly sweet. Transitioning from the sugar, the smell of iron wafted instead. Ah, that smell was blood.

The panel lit up once again, showing an odd bowl in place of the deck of cards. Before Alban got a chance to peer in the bowl, his curiosity was cut short by another system prompt.

<Received an Exclusive Quest, Necessary>

<Description:

Your humanity was useful before now. It helped you survive. It is now a hindrance. Please get rid of it.

Requirements:

Cease being a human (0/1)

This quest has no time limit.

>

Astonishingly, Alban didn't freak out at this. Was it because of an iron will? Was it because he knew he had to stop in order to preserve energy? No. It was because the quest didn't have a time limit. That meant no penalties, and he considered that a good investment for not knowing whatever the hell it was telling him to do.

Knowing he had a job to do, Alban was thinking about knowing his state right now. Out of the corner of his eye, the panel flashed again, revealing the prompt {Status has been unlocked}. He was quite interested in the fact that the annoying robo-voice didn't announce this to him. Probably had something to do with his so called over-reliance. Pushing those thoughts out of the way, he started peering at the panel.

Stat system explanations

St + Ag + Dex = Speed (Ag and Dex + 1 raises it from 1~5 to 3~5. All 6 would make it 3~6)

Dex + Vit = Defense (Dex + 1 raises it to 2~5,)

Int + Wis = Mana Control (Hard to raise. Control increases by intervals of 5 of either.)

St + Dex = Strength. (Dex + 1 raises it to 2~5)

Human average is 5 across all stats.

Estimation for base humans is 1~5
