57 VOL 2 ch 41

"Well, everything is set," Loki told Hulk as he had prepared a few documents.

"It's ironclad, right." Banner took the documents from Loki as he overlooked them.

"Yes, no one would suspect a thing. I am already done wiping his name off the system. If anyone looks for him, they will only find Garfield Logan. Son of Bruce Logan." Loki told him.

"The transformation would take a moment to apply. We are just changing the skin. Maybe rounding out the ears a little. He would practically look indistinguishable." Loki continued. "We can enroll him tomorrow."

"And how will you pull that off," Banner asked.

Loki smiled. "With a generous donation. Of course." Loki had a smile on his face as he tapped a big stack of cash on the desk. "Besides, I can't let the money I extorted out of the government remain in the bank. I will lose value from it." Loki said with a smile.

Loki and Banner moved from their place to see how the children were doing.

They both saw Garfield and Ace playing with each other outside. Playing cops and robbers with water guns.

"I am afraid. You know." Banner confided in Loki.

Loki sighed. "I know." There was a pause as Loki continued. "We both fear they can't protect themselves without us."

Banner nodded at that. "And yet, I want them to remain kids a little longer. Have some fun."

Loki nodded. "You know, there was a war when I was 10 years old. We were required to fight." Loki hesitated. "I had to kill. I witnessed that war. I don't want them to go through that as well."

"They may not have a choice," Banner told Loki.

"Let them remain kids for a little longer," Loki said.

Bruce's eyes fell on Ace fighting in the mud. A smile on his face as he saw Betty run towards the children. She had grabbed them by the ears and dragged them towards the house.

Bruce's smile fell. She was dragging them towards the house. They were responsible for ensuring they did not mess up their clothes today.

He turned towards Loki and looked at him with some desperation. The silent communication passed between them. They had to time this perfectly. They began to talk loudly when they saw her near the door.

"So, we need to take care of a few legal precedents, and Garfield's case would be airtight." Loki was arranging the documents in his hand.

"So, we just need to go to that firm, right," Banner said.

"Both of you, I know what you are doing. Stop right now." She yelled at them.

"Goodbye, dear. Can't hear you." Banner said as he frantically shook Loki.

Loki opened up his Kamui Dimension. Sucking both Banner and himself in.

"Love you." Banner's voice echoed out.

Betty picked up Ace by the shoulder. Started her straight in the eyes as she asked. "Tell me more about this prank."

Ace got an evil smile on her face. The plan to get a mother was a go. She would need to put her best foot forward to ensure success.

"Well, I think Dad should go out with Miss Karen. I saw him staring at her. I think he is a little shy so." She made cute puppy dog eyes at Betty.

Garfield, a little puzzled, looked at her. Then he copied her and made the puppy dog eyes at her.

Betty could not take the cuteness overdose and agreed. "What was her number again."

Ace was about to reply when her arms were grabbed. "After I clean both of you up."

Betty began to drag both of them away to the washroom.

---------------------------------------

"We're out," Banner said while panting a little. "That was scary. We're fucked, aren't we."

Loki rolled his eyes. "You are her boyfriend." To further illustrate his point. Loki poked him in the chest. "You are fucked. There is no we here." Loki pointed to Banner and then himself.

Loki had no idea how fucked he was right now. As Betty was happily chatting on the phone with Ace's teacher.

"Come on. We are here." Loki pointed to the building in front of him.

Both of them got into the elevator. Loki in his khakis and Banner with his sandals and spandex. Both of them looked utterly ridiculous in their respective getups.

Loki pressed the button to the respective floor when a voice called out. "Hold the elevator for a moment."

Loki pressed the button to keep the elevator open.

"Thanks. Press the" The guy in the suit paused. "Oh, you are going to the same floor." He paused in confusion. "Louis Litt. Senior partner."

"Loki. Your biggest client." Loki shook his hand. Taking Louis's hand by his side and shaking it.

"Mr Loki. I did not recognize you. I was not told that you would be in today."

"Well, let's say. My friend may have a potential lawsuit for you. If things don't play out right." Loki winked at him.

"If it's anything like your lawsuit. We may need him to skip the line." Louis laughed awkwardly. Still, a little bit weirded out by their strange getup.

"Who knows? You can become rich enough to not care about your clothes someday." Loki winked at him.

Louis felt revolted now when he looked at them.

"Oh, I may also have a little work for you today," Loki called out to Louis. Loki wanted to mess with him and get some drama out of it. The conflict was something that he had always thrived upon.

Loki left Louis behind and finally got outside of Harvey's office.

"Hey, Donna." Loki waved at her. "Still beautiful. I will wait for Harvey in his office. Nice dress, you go, girl." Loki made finger guns at her as he entered the office.

"Alright, have a nice day." Donna was trying to contact her clients when she suddenly stopped. "What just happened?"

She stood up to enter the office when she saw Harvey coming in a great Huff.

"Donna, cancel all of my meetings and tell me where in the nine hells are my morning contacts." Harvey stormed in.

Right now, they were losing clients like crazy. The entire firm was in the balance.

He walked in and saw Loki and Banner sitting. Harvey paused for a moment and stepped out of his room. "You never told me that we had Mr Loki waiting."

Donna answered. "He just came in."

Harvey sighed and rubbed his forehead. They had been losing all of their associates and, as a consequence, all of their clients. He stepped back into the room. "Mr Loki. Let me assure you that right now is not a good time."

Loki gave a small smile. "Let me assure you right now, Mr Harvey. Right now is the perfect time."

"Do you know who my companion is?" Loki pointed at Banner.

"I am not sure who this is," Harvey said a little tentatively.

"I believe this may be a little bit above your pay grade." Loki smiled at him. "Can you get the rest of your remaining lawyers? I assure you, you will not be disappointed."

Harvey began to think for a moment.

"Donna, can you schedule a meeting within the conference room. And get everyone."

(After a few minutes)

"Mr Loki, I hope this is important. As you can see, we are dealing with a little bit of a crisis." Jessica was looking at Loki intensely.

Loki smiled. "And I have a solution for you. Again, do you know who my associate is?" Loki pointed at Banner sitting by his side.

"I am not aware who he is," Jessica said. "Am I supposed to?"

Loki smiled. "Maybe not in this form."

Banner transformed into the Hulk.

"Jesus Christ," Harvey said.

"Fuck." Louis yelled out.

Donna had a hand over her mouth, and Mike was speechless.

It took a moment for Jessica to gather her thoughts.

"Mr Loki. What are you doing bringing a dangerous criminal in here." She yelled out.

Loki made a tut-tut sound. "Innocent until proven guilty. Do I need to remind you of that, Miss Jessica?" Loki said as he took out a thick Folder. "I believe that you will find this interesting."

Jessica took the heavy folder and divided its content among the occupants. They began to read silently.

(After some time)

"This can be the case of the century." Harvey put the folder down. "The amount of laws broken would ensure that the settlement would cripple everyone involved. This could set us up for eternity. Make our damned names go down in history."

"None of our clients will matter anymore. People will be begging to take us on as their legal representative." Louis said. "This is basically a fuck you to the world."

"And this will paint a big target on our back." Jessica looked up. "Who are you really."

Loki smiled. He felt a small demonstration was in order. "Loki, god of mischief, silver-tongue, bringer of Ragnarok. You humans have many names for me." Loki said as his entire person changed. Now, he was wearing a green suit with a tie. The area around him began to freeze. "You can call me that." The coldness faded away, and the ice receded.

Loki decided to keep both of his Tobi and Loki persona separate for now.

"This case is almost done. We don't even need to do anything. We can just sink them. Why did you come to us, Loki?" Jessica looked sharply at Loki, trying to discern his intent.

There was a smile on Loki's face. He looked at Hulk.

And so Hulk spoke in a gruff voice. "I have been running for a few years. I would have been fine with doing that for a few more years, but circumstances forced my hand. I have a son, and in order to protect him. I have to fight back. There should be consequences for these actions."

"I can understand the intent, but again, Loki, why come to us. You could easily work with anyone to further your cause. You could have done it alone. A half-decent lawyer could use this information to win this case."

Loki smiled. "I don't want to win this case. I want this case to get the maximum amount of public exposure. I believe your expertise would be enough for that." Loki paused. His eyes closed. "Let me ask you a question, Jessica. Have you ever thought of expanding your operation?"

"You have my attention, Mr. Loki," Jessica said.

"Have you thought about going intergalactic? Imagine this: your firm fighting intergalactic cases, madam. No longer confined to earth. No longer confined to this planet. Your firm's name would echo out throughout the cosmos. I can give you the chance to do that."

Jessica trembled. She was not alone. This was completely new territory for them. But the prospects of it were just too damn tantalizing.

Loki smiled. This was the final nail in the coffin.

"Mr Loki, what do you want from us," Jessica asked.

Loki and Banner nodded at each other. "This is not the correct time for the lawsuit. But before that. I would like you to handle these books."

Loki handed them two books.

1. Tale of the Gutsy Ninja.

2. The Tale of Naruto Uzumaki.

Both books were written by Jiraiya. The first one was his first book, and the second one was written in the pure land. Loki had made sure to change the names of the Jutsus and slightly change the effects of the jutsus.

These will tide you over for the moment. And then you can publish them at an intergalactic level.

Jessica got a predatory smile on her face. "Tell us what needs to be done,"
