1 First Dive: Where am I?

THUMP! A young boy no more than 15 walks through a crowded high school hall after school bumping into the larger students, this boy was small, abnormally small, and as if it couldn't be worse for him he was skinnier than a twig, the perfect target for the large predators to pray on.

"Hey! Charlie! Over here!" A another small boy called forth into the large crowd calling for our small boy, Charlie. Charlie looking for solace hurriedly moved forth to his friend; for Charlie even walking through the hall causes massive amounts of stress not knowing if he'll bump into the wrong person.

This other small boy was Charlies only friend, laughed at by the girls and bullied by the boys, this boy was his only equal, the only person who knew his pain. This boys name was Sam.

"Sam! Thank god almost had a heart attack!" Charlie says finally catching up to his friend, "Why?" Sam asks, "I don't know, you could've been hurt for all I know!" Charlie answers worryingly. "Haha whatever let's go home." The boys head home leaving the school after a another day of anxiety and fear.

Finally home, Charlie can finally try his New World Full Dive VR headset and play the highly anticipated Unholy War, the latest game from Underworld Corporation, the worlds biggest game company.

Click. Entering his room Charlie heads over to his small child sized bed and grabs the most expensive thing in the tiny cramped room, his new VR headset. Luckily it seems his mom set it up for him, leaving minimal work required from him. Charlie puts the large headset over his small head, the headset was the smallest they had, yet it felt as if his head was holding up a mountain, a testament to his weakness.

Flipping a switch on the side of the headset Charlie lies on the bed anticipating the sleep inducing feature of the headset; The way the headset worked is it would force you unconscious with a harmless gas excreted from the headset, then the headset would send signals to your unconscious brain through electrical currents, you would connect to a artificial world of sorts and you would see, feel, and breath in a made up world in your subconscious, at least this is how the manual explains.

Charlie awakes to find himself in a infinite black void, creeped out Charlie calls out "System?" Knowing that the headset gave you an assistant to help you if you need it. A translucent blue screen pops up and Charlie hears a voice speak in his head, [Would user like to enter hub?] spooked Charlie answers "y-yes" as soon as he spoke these words the void turned white and a massive screen appears.

Looking at the screen he can see it's a Home Screen of sorts. Noticing the only game on the hub 'Unholy War' he tells the system to enter it. [Y-Yes m-ma-masterrrrrrr..] 'what!? Ah, that's not creepy' Charlie thinks to himself as the game opens.

Entering a loading screen Charlie sits on white void that serves as his floor, 'This is so weird' Charlie thinks with a wry smile across his uneasy face.

[Entering game.. Loading assets ERROR… Loading character creation ERROR… Loading world ERROR…]

'Is it broken, should I worry about this'

Charlies vision begins to to vanish, then suddenly comes back to him. Unfamiliar with his surroundings, Charlie is confused as he scans the area, Charlie is in a large comfortable bed, inside a massive glorious room, the room seems to be tended to with great care daily, raising his hand Charlie is met by a large toned hand, getting up from the bed feeling well rested, he walks to a nearby mirror, looking into the mirror he is met by a unfamiliar sight, 'This doesn't seem right, I'm not in a starting village, and there is no way this is a default character, he looks.. Like a model!? No better than a model!?!' Charlie try's to make sense of it in his head but before he can a well dressed woman walks in holding a tray, upon seeing Charlie she drops the tray she was holding and says "T-The Emperor is awake!?!"
