Crime Scene

Nora walked around the building from one end to the other. The smell of dried blood assailed her nose. She found many gunshot scratches on the wall. So many pieces of human flesh were scattered here and there.

When she reached higher floors, she saw something shocking. There were signs of destruction all around the floor. She could even smell a burning odor of flesh. She remembered that the case file said that there seemed to be some kids who died cause of the fire.

Nora shivered at the thought of kids being burned here. But she felt even scared of the people who could do such heinous acts. She felt her breathing tighten in her chest. She just couldn't understand how people can be so cruel. Why did they not even spare the kids?

Her mind was occupied with these thoughts when she saw a handkerchief on the ground. It was blood-soaked and dirty. Her eyes couldn't have noticed the handkerchief if she hadn't moved the rubbish that was on top of it.
