Loaded with Luck

My first original, Where I basically tried to make a system where you can actually buy Luck attribute. Got the idea from the strongest gene. Though I will focus on combat suits a little bit, most of the time I will focus on both mechanic and gene-related parts. As for the gaming elements, the whole world is set in a partial game setting. no such thing as Health Points or stuff, but there will be attributes And levels. I happen to read novels like The Legendary Mechanic, Super Gene, and The Strongest Gene, and I got this idea, to make a new novel. Only this time on a very massive scale. I'm learning to write a novel with the same writing way as that of the strongest gene. Hope you all like it. And please comment. My writing capabilities are really shitty.

Invisible threats...? (Unedited)

The most important stuff he needed right now was a license. Most importantly a driving license.

Not those two wheeler or four wheeler like stuff.

No, what he needed was the license to drive a spaceships. To be more precise, he needed a license to drive a Corvette.

After all he wasn't planning on being a captain of any enterprises. What he needed was a license that allowed him to rent a small Corvette, to travel without any blockage.

Also this was the only way he could complete the system's new mission. There was just no way he could go ahead and mark a planet if he had to rented a crew alongside the Corvette.

Isn't that asking for his secret be revealed? He wasn't going to take any chances.

Also, the process for applying for the license was quite easy.

Go to the Space-Patrol, apply for the license, pay the price for registration, give the exam, pass the exam, get a license. See that easy.

How did he know the process?

Of course, he knew the process. It's written on their d*mn website.

Midway to his current living quarters, he turned around and started heading towards the Space-Patrol.

At the same time he opened his system's interface, and entered the store.

Unlike last time when he got to select every skills one level after another, after the update even all those skills had turned into sets. Meaning when he bought one skill, he will also have bought an entire set of skills based on its level.

Of course, the price tag on the skill was quite huge even with his luck activated all the time. But it was a necessary skill.

As long as he was able to complete the task, he would receive rewards.

Scrolling through the skills in the store, he selected the skill which was exactly what he needed.

- Beginner level Piloting Skill, 80,000SP.

Just looking at the rate of the skill, he didn't feel that good. But he also didn't have to buy every single levels that he initially had to buy one after another.

One skill, and he got every branch skills regarding it.

Waiting for three minutes, the skill started flowing through his head. Probably because of some similar procedures he had already gone through, he didn't feel it that painful.

It was still a bit uncomfortable experience though.

The entire event lasted for several minutes before he was finally started to feel a little bit comfortable.

"I hate this process." Eden grumbled grabbing his head, which was still feeling painful.

Finally after fifteen minutes, he entered the planetary Space-Patrol's branch building and headed for the pilot registration department.

Unlike other departments, this department was not as crowded. Those who came here, were mostly the ones who were very confident on their skills.

After all, travelling in space was no joke. It was very, very dangerous.

A single error and you could even be headed for the black hole.

So when anyone tries to apply for a space pilots, they would only try after being a hundred percent sure, of their capabilities. As for the rest, he had to take a virtual examination. And if somehow you passed the exam, but got lost on the space. You couldn't blame the Space-Patrol.

Then again, chances of returning back in case you got lost was also zero.

It took him about five minutes to register. Then after two hours of virtual examination, he was finally considered a licensed pilot.

"With that taken care of, now I need a Corvette." Eden spoke with himself.

However that was going to be a major issue. Why?

"Who in the right mind would let him rent a Corvette?"

He knew the answer: "None."

"Hey system! A little little bit of help."

[...]

Of course, the system didn't give him any reply.

Shaking his head, he opened his comm and looked at the credit he had right now.

50,068 Valc Credit.

He exhaled a long breath, looking at the very little money he has left. This was the only credit left after exchanging his hundreds of millions of Dome credit into Valc Credits.

Can he buy a new Corvette with this little amount?

Yes, that he could. But because he was in a second rate star cluster system, the ship he could afford would only be a middle class one.

For a higher class Corvette, he had to spend at least a few hundred thousand credits.

"Whatever." Eden mumbled under his breath, before turning towards his apartment.

There was another way he could earn money. While the suit he materialized, might not be on par with the capabilities of the suits they had here, was that the same case for reagents?

No.

Reagents were different. And Eden had capabilities of producing any type of reagents.

"Time to earn some money." Eden made up his mind on what he was going to do this entire week.

After another fifteen minutes, he finally entered his home. Tommorow he was going to visit the market to buy the blood essences.

Changing his clothes to a casual ones, he finally sat down and opened his comm.

It's been a long time since he had called back his mother and the little rascals.

Just as he was about to reach for the call option, he felt a little tingling sensation.

"Strange!?" Eden spoke and looked around him.

Finding nothing strange, he was again about to reach for the call option, when he felt the same tingling sensation.

"Something's off!"

Finally Eden felt like it was his senses was warning him, not to call his parents.

Eden turned off his comm, and started checking every room in his apartment, one by one.

While he was walking around checking, he felt the same sensation, almost six, seven times.

After checking every room, he sat down in his bed and opened up the system interface.

To be more precise, he opened up the system's map feature.

"Scan"

He mentally commanded, before he saw a red line covering the entire interface in seconds.

Finally three red dots appeared on the map.

There were people around him. To be more precise, there were people inside his apartment, invisible.

"The hell is going on!" Eden screamed in his head, "Who the hell are these people?"

It had only been one week since he appeared on this star cluster. There were not many enemies he had made right now.

Let's see, there was the princess, the blonde, who else? That was all.

Blonde had probably not even finished his current task in the university, so he was out.

That left him with, the princess.

"Since when did someone from the Dome Star Cluster, suddenly became so active in Valc Star Cluster?"

Eden didn't believe it was possible for the princess to be active in this star cluster. Not when not even a single person in the Dome, except for the royal family knew about her.

He had studied every news regarding the previous competition. Hence, he knew that the information of the princess had already been removed, entirely.

So that means the princess was also out.

That leaves him with nothing. Also he got the tingling sensation, only when he was about to make a call.

So, clearly they were not planning to make a mess. But he didn't believe they were not capable of doing so, in case they were forced.

Inside, in the system interface he looked at the luck attributes, which was still active in low ratio.

As long as the ratio was low, or medium, there was no countdown for the attributes, which was a plus.

But the problem was he also didn't know what kind of abilities these people. Normally once a person acquire one ability it was quite normal for them to acquire on other ability as well.

And it was even more normal in higher rated star systems.

Finally after making a simple plan, he again opened his comm and looked at the contacts.

At once the three red dots got closer to him, which caused him to again close the interface.

The red dots also went a bit far away from him.

While it seemed like he was playing with them, he understood one thing.

They were only trying to get his information.

This also made him happy to know that the people were having a hard time getting his information out of the comm. There was no way they hadn't tried to hack him.

Another plus of buying an expensive comm.

Next step was get out of this place.

Getting up from the seat, he started walking towards the door. As he walked he also was looking at the dots, to understand how they were going to react.

Unlike what he expected, the dots roamed behind him towards other side, slowly.

Are they planning to stay in the apartment?

Eden was unable to understand what they were trying to do. After all they were going towards the wall. Also they were showing no signs of stopping.

Are they blind?

Eden had no way of understanding that either. After all the person in question was a threat, and also very invisible.

Pushing the door he walked out, then turned towards the elevator while closing the door behind him.

However he was shocked, when he saw three dots passing right through the walls as if there was nothing there at all.

Phasing Ability!!!???
