Pandora's Box

"A crystal ball? Give me more details on the object." Greg asks.

"It just looks as I said leader. In the ground is a glowing crystal ball! You know like the ones in the psychic shops with the fortune tellers and stuff. It's glowing- Ah! It just came out of the ground and is now floating dead center of the tornado. Leader, what do we do?"

"...For now we wait. If either side acts first they'll be sucked in the tornado and get hit by the debris. We can't risk loosing someone else when they're side is obviously stronger than us."

"OK, so can you pull me in now. If I stay up here much longer I might get hit by flying cows."

"Alright. Catherine pull him in."

"Finally, the gloves protecting my hands a wearing down. You owe me a new pair Kai."

"It's leader's fault! I never want to be up here in the first place!" 'Why am I always the bullied one?' Kai then looks at Cindy. "Cindy! What happened? How did she end up like this?!"

"Eon." Jade says.

"Eon was he so powerful?" Kai sat down next to Cindy.

"Apparently, they all are and, we may be no match for them. We might have to cancel this mission and train ourselves back at headquarters." Greg says.

The mood turned heavy at Greg's words.

Paradox's Side

"How's your body holding up Eon? Does it hurt? Are you tired are you-"

"I'm fine Pandora. Just let me rest." *Huff* Huff* "I just need to rest and catch my breath. If you guys didn't make it on time I might have lost my mind."

"Well that's what happens when you use the chaos pearl. Just like the Sovereign said, 'Inside each pearl is the power of chaos. Taking on a different form of negative emotions of people and turned into power.' The fact is if it weren't for our harsh life experiences toughening our wills, we would have gone insane simply being in it's presence." Chronos explained.

"Yeah Eon, was is worth resorting to that? Surely there were other ways to stall for time." Mars asks.

"Even if there were can you honestly say that after witnessing our powers suppressed. Even now that crystal is making the tornado stronger and our powers weaker. We don't have time. We need to get that crystal." Eon looks in the direction of the heroes. "The heroes may not have realized it yet, but if we don't act now and get the crystal ball and we get weaker and it gets stronger, no one will be able to take it. They're probably to concerned trying to save themselves and snatch it from us later."

"Never thought of that. Do we need to activate the chaos pearls all together in order to get it or-" Mars gets cut off speaking.

"No. We don't need to. All us together can take it without activating them. We need to get it now before anything unexpected happens. Let's go."

"Right."

"OK."

Eon and the others rush towards the tornado, dodging and weaving the flying debris. As they get closer they started to get sucked in by the the force.

"Are they really going in! They haven't activated their full powers are they suicidal?!" Ruby shouts.

"No. In fact what they're doing is right. They're saving their strength in case it gets worse and to handle us later." Greg explains.

"Humph." Catherine sneers.

As the heroes watches the generals, Eon and the others have just entered the tornado.

"Eon! Help! I'm! Get-ting! Very! Diz-zy!" Age cries out. Apparently he got caught in a strong wind current and is now spinning laps around the tornado, passing everyone by.

"... Mars go get Age. The rest of us will head for the crystal."

"Yes. Why do I always have to baby sit." Mars says.

"I hope he won't get sick." Pandora worries.

"Don't worry Pandora he'll be fine. Can you use your box to catch the crystal ball?" Chronos asks.

"Yes but, only for a little while. My powers will be weakened quickly when I've captured it."

"That's good. It looks like the crystal is making nature go haywire. When we've captured it maybe the tornado will disappear." Loki says.

"It seems that Loki may be right. Look there it is. The space around seems to warping." Chronos points towards the crystal.

"Pandora." Eon says.

"I know, I just hope that my powers will hold on long enough." Pandora then takes out her box and opens it. What comes out are shadows and ghosts crying, screaming, wailing, roaring, laughing madly, and all kinds of horrible noises. "Capture it." Pandora points towards the crystal and commands the apparitions. They followed her command and went grab it.

But when they touched it, their hands made sizzling sounds and they retreated back in fear. However they dare not disobey her orders so they immediately created an assembly line and passed the crystal ball from one hand to another not daring to hold on to it for a second longer. Finally it came to Pandora's hands and all the apparitions retreated inside the box.

"Quickly Pandora put it inside. The wind currents are getting stronger and Mars is now spinning around us with Age." Chrono says.

"Alright." Pandora places the crystal ball into the box and closes it.

The tornado starts to die down and the lightning stops.

"Huh, so I was right. I was only guessing. Who knew it'd be true." Loki shrugs his shoulders.

"Guys, I'm afraid I can only hold contain it for an hour before my powers give out. I'm sorry I'm not strong enough." Pandora says.

"Don't worry Pandora your power is the only one that allows you to use your artifact without transforming into a monster." Eons says.

"It still eats away her mind though. The fact she only worries about things after all this time me wonder what the hell she went through to get such a strong will."

"LOKI!" Chrono shouts.

Loki put his hands up in the air. "Sorry. Jesus. It's not like no one hasn't gone through hell before you and me included."

"You know our pasts are not to be dug into Loki. Our existence has been erased the moment we took on this power." Eon says.

"Yes. I know."
